"My experience so far has been excellent. I have had side effects, but for the most part have been minor. Since being on it, it has curbed my hunger. In short, I am just not hungry. I am a little surprised that I have not lost more weight at this point, but I am still on the 0.50 dose, so, as my supportive wife says, "Baby Steps!""

"Wegovy is working great! Very important to hydrate and have a lot of fiber. Also, control your portion size; you cannot eat large portions. I'm following a strict 1300 calorie lifestyle change. From June 17, 2023, to present (Sept 19, 2023), I've lost 30 lbs. The injections are simple and virtually painless. I'm currently on 1.7 and I have little to no side effects. I inject every Saturday night before I go to sleep. I read that taking medication before bed reduces nausea and for me, it has worked. The only side effect is that I have absolutely NO desire to drink alcohol. The best side effect ever! I've already stopped taking blood pressure medication, cholesterol medication has been reduced to the lowest dose, and my A1C is out of the pre-diabetic range and within normal limits, and I'm only halfway to my weight loss goal. All medication has been stopped or reduced by my physician after blood work. Very happy!"

"I was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss in Nov 2022. I started on 0.25 mg for one month. I found it slightly suppressed my appetite, and the side effects I had were awful heartburn, constipation, and sulfur burps. Sometimes I felt nauseous. I decided to stick with it anyway and increased to 0.5 mg after one month. The symptoms were the same but added in fatigue. A month later, I bumped up to 0.75, and the burps, fatigue, and heartburn subsided. I went to 1 mg two months later, and all symptoms disappeared. I started at 192 lbs on Nov 15th, and as of May 1st, I weigh 152 lbs. I found my sugar cravings disappeared once I started taking 1 mg. Up until then, I still craved sugary foods. I lost all interest in greasy food (fries, anything deep-fried, etc.) from 0.5 mg and up. I personally love Ozempic. The side effects at the beginning were worth it for me, but from the sounds of it, mine weren’t that bad. I have never once thrown up."

"I've been injecting Wegovy for the past three months on a weekly basis. I am at the 1 mg dosage. I have been having brief dizzy episodes. These could be related to my Lisinopril dosage. I have had stomach upsets and fatigue, but no trouble with the injecting. I have lost 25 pounds since starting - 220 - 195 lbs. I have been able to tolerate the side effects."

"I love it! Wegovy did what I needed it to do, it calmed my appetite. I had zero side effects. I lost twenty pounds in one month. I only have one problem, I can no longer get Wegovy in my needed dosage of 0.25 mg. I will patiently wait for the manufacture of Wegovy to catch up to the demand for their product because it works that well for me. Thank you for creating a product that has worked as advertised."

"I’m on Week 15 of treatment and have lost nothing. On the first dose of 0.75 mg, I experienced heartburn, fullness, and zero appetite for 5 days. I was hopeful that it had finally started to work. On subsequent doses of 0.75 mg and 1 mg, and now on 1.7 mg, I’ve felt no effects from Wegovy. I’ve tried switching injection sites from my abdomen to my arm with no effect."

"Wegovy has agonizing side effects. I had to quit after 2 months. Constant, uncontrollable vomiting, I vomited at work and while driving (which was horrific and dangerous). I essentially became bulimic and afraid to eat. I lost 20 pounds but put half of it back right away. Not worth the agony."

"I've been on Wegovy since September 2024. To date, I've lost about 30 pounds. I've had very mild side effects, a little nausea occasionally, particularly the first few days after increasing dosage. I have ongoing GI issues that have made it worse a few times in the last 6 months, but nothing too serious. I was nervous about injecting myself weekly, but it has been relatively easy and painless for me. I'm finally getting clear signals to stop eating when I'm full. I used to think eating a full plate of pasta was no big deal, and now I eat less pasta in general, but if I do, I aim for no more than half, and usually it's closer to a third of a plate with the addition of a small side of non-starchy vegetables. I've been seeing a nutritionist too, and they've been so helpful in making lifelong diet changes. Right before I started taking Wegovy, I looked at the reviews on here and it nearly scared me away. I'm so glad it didn't. Wegovy has been such a helpful tool in my health journey."

"Pros - I've been on Wegovy for 7 months. It started working right away. Lost between 8-15 lbs a month. It mostly has affected my appetite (not feeling hungry). Have lost 65 lbs thus far. Cons - nothing noticeable until I made it to the 1.7 mg dosage, and it got worse on the 2.4 mg. Severe diarrhea and cramps a day after eating. I noticed this became more regular after the 2.4 mg dosage. It happens 4-5 days after the injection, only for it to clear up after I give myself the next injection. Any bismuth anti-diarrhea helps to clear this, but you have to remember to take it with almost every meal."

"Ozempic for weight loss is AMAZING! I have tried everything for weight loss since 1985. Ozempic by far is a miracle for me. It immediately blocks cravings, appetite, and thoughts about food! I started June 2, 2023 and today, July 13, 2023, I lost 22.3 lbs. This is a 6-week success story! I took 0.25 for the first week and then 0.5 weekly on Sundays. I have stayed with Weight Watchers, mainly selecting 'free foods'. If you are eating out with friends this summer, remember that rich, high-fat content foods will give you immediate abdominal distress (cramps, diarrhea). So, I've learned to go through restaurant menus and find something less distressful to eat so that I can enjoy time with friends and family. I have Zofran for nausea, but for me, the nausea passes and I do not use anything for nausea. Stay active at least walk! It's free! Keep drinking water and add a packet of electrolytes due to this extreme heat this summer! Check-in with my doctor on a regular basis."

"I started taking Wegovy 2 weeks ago. The first week was okay, but in the second week, I started experiencing really bad anxiety. I wish I could be like other people and just get regular side effects. So far, I have lost 10 lbs."

"I took my first 0.25 shot of Wegovy 4 days ago. Everything is going great so far. I experience a very small amount of nausea in the morning but it is completely manageable. I have noticed that I am more content throughout the day and my portion sizes have gone down. I have also had a lot more energy and don’t feel so tired all the time. I know that it is very early to really give a review for this medication so this is more directed to those individuals who are nervous or scared to start the medication. I was terrified after reading some of the “bad” reviews but I finally did it. I know we will all have different experiences but it was definitely worth trying in my opinion!"

"Started Wegovy 3 months ago using the gradual phase-up method. From 0.25 mg dose for 4 weeks to 0.50 mg dose for 4 weeks, then 1.0 mg dose for 4 weeks. During the initial phase, I experienced mild nausea and some stomach irritation. With each increase, the symptoms got worse until finally, at the full 1.0 mg dose, I was so sick I thought I had stomach flu for 2 weeks continuously. The belching was horrible. The nausea caused uncontrollable vomiting, and I had frequent diarrhea. After 3 months, I lost 12 pounds and felt horrible every day. I've now reduced the dose to 0.5 mg but still suffer from nausea and stomach upset. I might cut back again, but I'm thinking I will quit. The way I feel all the time is horrible! I'm thinking I lost weight because of all the vomiting. Not recommended."

"I was at my heaviest in July, recovering from knee surgery-recovering from major abdominal surgery before ever being placed on Wegovy. I suffered with several issues due to increased weight gain, all the typical-some depression, never being able to lose more than 8 lbs., and then giving up. It's a struggle, and it was real. Prediabetic, having beginning stages of heart issues, orthopedically, beginning to have major issues with my joints and body. So many issues due to the increased weight gain from medicines and lifestyle. It was taking its toll. I started Wegovy in July (end of the month) at 279.8 pounds, my heaviest, and getting heavier every day. Today, February 11th-Injection day-and I weigh myself and keep track weekly on my phone. I'm at 238.4 pounds. I'm down 41.4 pounds and so proud of myself and my accomplishments. I'm at 1.0 shot and feeling well. I'm happier than ever, and I'm not looking back. I'm wearing clothes I never thought I would wear again. Feeling fantastic. This is the best thing to happen to me!!!"

"I have lost 19 pounds in the first 4 weeks on 0.25 dosage. I have found that low-fat cottage cheese with some fruit is good around noon as a brunch, with a high-protein dinner and a small salad. I was 2 weeks in over Thanksgiving and was still able to enjoy most everything, but just in much smaller portions. Eating out, I order fish or chicken and ask for a box with the dinner and split it for leftovers. Absolutely no side effects - except for the first day each week after the shot, I find I burp after eating. Also, note: the effects start off very strong during the first part of the week and taper towards the end. I do find myself able to eat more on the last day before my next shot, but even still no major hunger pains. Eat high protein and low-fat, and drink lots of water. I weigh myself every morning and find I lose more on days I drink at least 50 or more ounces of water the previous day. My goal is to lose 40 pounds, and at this rate, I think it will only take me about 70 days. Best journey ever!"

"I love the effects of Wegovy, however, my stomach felt upset the whole time I took it. I lost a lot of weight, pretty quickly. It happened so fast; I could not keep up with clothing size changes. I lost about 50 pounds in 3 months. I tried to eat, but the weight kept coming off. I would recommend a probiotic to help with the stomach issues, but overall, I am happy with the experience."

"Started taking Wegovy. First month, 0.25 dose. After injection, started with nausea and vomiting. As the week went on, it eased. 2nd and 3rd week were pretty much the same. 4th week had 2 days where I was really ill - vomiting, diarrhea, pains in the tummy. Finally, it went away. In the first 4 weeks, I lost 16lbs. Now on my first week of 0.50 dose, took the first dose of 0.50 as usual. The day after the injection, I got some sickness (vomiting), though it stopped pretty quickly. I guess my body is starting to adjust. It's not an easy journey, but the food I can eat is a lot less - smaller meals, high protein. The tiredness I find difficult. I would say, take supplements like B12 and a multivitamin, and drink plenty of water. This is by no means a quick or easy fix. Some days, it's hard, especially if you get the nausea, vomiting, and tiredness. But the weight loss is steady, so for now, my journey continues. It greatly reduces your appetite and the amount of food, but be warned, if you overeat, there are some nasty side effects."

"I have been on this drug for over two months, and it is fantastic. No side effects (just very mild in the first few days). I have stayed on the lowest dose of 0.25 mg so far, as I am losing weight gradually each week. I am eating healthily and keeping an eye on roughly how many calories I consume a day (this is so I don’t overeat or undereat. I want to have enough strength and energy for work and sport too). The drug is like a friend who has your back. You still enjoy food and can still feel hungry, but your appetite is reduced, as are cravings for unhealthy food. It’s a miracle! I ordered mine through Boots the Chemist, who offer a lot of helpful support and advice."

"Nausea, diarrhea, constipation, sulfur burps, fatigue, loss of appetite, super sensitive to smells, I have to make myself eat enough. It's like morning sickness, only it's 24/7. Zofran helps for about 6 hours. Cannot tolerate much besides chicken broth and Brussels sprouts. No fried, fatty, oily, spicy foods. Need to stay hydrated with water. Ginger ale helps. I'm up to a 1 mg dose and 14th week. This nausea is constant and impacts my daily routine significantly. However, it is the only effective weight loss option that's worked in 26 years of diets and exercise and eating healthy. I will not give up. The weight is killing me, and I needed this medication. I started at 221 lbs. and now I'm at 194.3 lbs. BMI is close to pre-obesity, and I know I'll cry the day I hit it. Full disclosure, I'm disabled in part due to my weight. There is no way I could have worked and taken Wegovy with the severity of my nausea and fatigue. But the mobility and breathing issues are improving."

"I have been on Wegovy 0.25mg for 4 weeks and started on 0.5mg today. I have lost 8 lbs so far and have had no side effects at all. I have noticed that I am not as hungry and do feel fuller with less food intake. I will continue with this and hopefully get to the weight I want to be."

"I have been taking Ozempic for 9 months. I am 74 years old, and a workaholic. I simply do not have time to exercise. I am at my computer working between 18 and 20 hours x 7 x 365. This will not change - ever. I got up to 274 lbs. I weigh once weekly. Today I weighed 191 lbs., or a loss of 83 lbs. over the duration - or about 30% of my body weight. Some slight dizziness from time to time which has diminished considerably after the 2nd month. Bad diarrhea for 72 hours after each injection until I discovered this medication does not like fat/grease/fried food of any type - then, some manageable diarrhea thereafter. Dosage .5 mg. Extraordinarily easy to use."

"One word - amazing. I was so skeptical when starting this medication. I thought it would be just like everything I've tried before, but it's not. It works. Two months in and 20 pounds down. It's like magic! I have had some brief periods of nausea, but I drink some ginger ale and it helps a lot. I read that this medication would be a game changer for weight loss, and it has not disappointed."

"I have been taking Ozempic for six weeks. This will be my second week at 0.50 mg, and I have lost 10 lbs. At 0.25 mg, I had minor nausea and was very tired but felt fine otherwise. After my first 0.50 mg injections, I could not drink, eat, or do anything for the first day. I had a lot of nausea and felt like I was going to be sick constantly. By day 3, I had to go to the bathroom about nine times, which was good because constipation is a real thing with this medication. By day 4 and on, I felt perfectly fine. I do watch what I eat, and the medication has cut my food intake by half. You have to pay attention to what your stomach is telling you."

"Started out with .25 mg. I did that for four weeks and only felt slight nausea after the injection. Today, I bumped up to the .50 mg dose, and within five hours I was nauseous. I finally vomited, and I feel better, but have no appetite now. Nothing sounds good. I’m also sleepy. So far, the weight loss is only about five pounds. If I stay nauseated, it’ll probably increase drastically, but what a dumb way to live! I hope it’s temporary. I could be sick once a week and survive if I get decent weight loss. I am also fairly active, and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I don’t have a thyroid because of cancer nine years ago."

"I had been on this drug for 4 months. Typical escalation dose until month 4, I stayed on the 1 mg. The side effects were rough since increasing to 1 mg. So much nausea, worsened reflux, constipation, bloating, burping, and indigestion. I vomited once, but there were a few times I almost did. In the last few weeks, I noticed hair loss. Noticed skin tags that I have never had...like 3 grew since the med. Weird. Oh, and I had serious issues with certain smells. I had to change out the hand soaps in my house 5 times. If I smell rubbing alcohol, I am instantly nauseous. Just looking at the Wegovy box before injecting would make me dizzy and nauseous. So weird. Difficult to eat healthy on this med due to side effects, and only able to tolerate simple carbs, low-fat diet. Also hard to work out when feeling so nauseous...so didn't think it was contributing to my health. Has not really contributed to weight loss, and appetite is almost the same as before med."
