"Started taking this medication a year or so ago. I haven't had any side effects, only positive ones! I started it due to struggling with my weight, even with working out constantly, and also being prediabetic. I have a history of Graves' disease and did an ablation on it with radioactive iodine, so it's nonexistent now. For a while now, I had a major problem with one-foot swelling with no help from any medicine. After taking Ozempic, I saw a dramatic decrease almost immediately, and it hasn't swollen up since starting Ozempic. I have also lost more than 50 lbs since starting. Truly thankful for this medication and its positive effects on my health."

"So far so good. I'm only on week 2, but am down 10 pounds with a combination of exercise and a 1200 cal/day diet. The symptoms I've had so far are tiredness, constipation, and some hair falling out (Dr. will be checking my vitamin levels to make sure I don't need supplements with the new diet). It definitely curbs my appetite, which is huge with my diet essentially cut in half. I am looking forward to seeing sustained results."

"I started off taking Ozempic then switched over to Wegovy. I only experienced mild side effects such as nausea and headaches in the beginning of starting these meds. This medication worked for me and helped me lose over 60 lbs. In the past, I have tried numerous diets, supplements, bariatric surgery, and programs to help me lose weight and all failed. This is the only medication that truly worked for me and I'm so glad that I was able to tolerate it. Life-changing experience for me."

"I have been on Wegovy for a year and 3 months and have lost 100 lbs. (started at 289 & 5'7"). I do deal with nausea, but it is controllable with Zofran so I keep that on me at all times. You are in control of how you feel by what you eat and the amount of water that you drink. Protein is key! I have dealt with a B12 deficiency since being on this med as well as hair loss. I deal with chronic pain so working out has never been easy for me. Wegovy has been a game changer and completely changed my life. I went from a 2X to a L in clothing and feel the best that I've ever felt despite the nausea."

"I have lost 65 lbs in 10 months using Wegovy. I have had no side effects. I do want to know what to do when you hit a plateau. I would and have recommended this medication to my family and friends. I’m on the highest dose of 2.4. Taking injections is quick and easy."

"Let me first say that digestively, I have never been more miserable in my life than I was on this 'medication.' Wegovy gave me abdominal cramps so bad I had to go to the ER. I was very dehydrated and in so much pain. Luckily, my CT was normal, but my WBC was elevated. Maybe this is some other side effect that will start being reported more often now that half the population seems to be taking it. I started at 0.25 mg and did that weekly for 4 weeks. During that time, I was okay but constantly felt somewhat bloated and would burp way more than what would be considered normal. I am glad some people had success with this, but for me, my life was better before this medication. I'll take being 'overweight' and feeling great to this any day. I just hope there is no permanent damage. Thanks for the misery, Wegovy. Never again. Big Pharma can take their bogus, fabricated BMI and stick it. They want people to be miserable and addicted to whatever drug they cook up for their investors."

"I lost 75 lbs on Wegovy. It wasn't worth it. People assume I have all this energy now. I feel like a shell of my former self. Run down, no appetite... and just got back from the hospital since I didn't have a bowel movement for almost 2 weeks once I was at the 2.4 dose. I can't recommend this drug. You will essentially give up your normal life to lose weight. To me, the benefits don't outweigh the risks."

"I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

"This drug affects everyone differently, but for me, the side effects were too bad, and I had to stop after 2 weeks. It totally worked by killing my appetite and making me feel full, and after the first week, there were days I didn't even want to eat at all. I lost about 8 pounds in two weeks, which is great. However, during the 2nd week, I got the worst upset stomach of my life and almost went to the ER. I had intense diarrhea for an entire day, along with nausea, the chills, a swollen stomach, and then sweating. I had to take a sick day from work because I was also dizzy, and my heart was racing. It finally subsided about a day and a half, but it scared me so badly that I stopped taking the drug. Now I understand why it has a black box warning. I'm happy for the people who can use this without bad side effects. For me, I have a young child and demanding job. I can't go around with symptoms of food poisoning and try to act like I’m ok."

"I'm in my 9th week, now at 1 mg. I learned very quickly to eat small portions and slowly because I would feel way too full if I tried eating as much as I used to. I tried a couple of weeks ago to eat a whole Popeye's chicken sandwich for lunch. I felt nauseous all day afterward. Half a sandwich is enough. I'm down 10%+ of my weight already. It is very easy. I am just not hungry. The hard part is changing how much to put on my plate. Now that I'm used to taking less, I'm totally fine and don't even think about hunger, cravings, anything. Wow. So happy."

"I have been on Wegovy for 5 months. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have lost almost 50 lbs and it has given me my life back. I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

"I started Wegovy in Jan. 2022. I didn’t feel much effect for two months, although I lost a few pounds. Starting in the third month, it kicked in. The weight loss isn’t fast, about 4 to 6 lbs a month, which I feel is healthy. I’ve lost 27 pounds. Like others, I had some queasiness, especially in the first few months, but it was quickly resolved with Zofran and has mostly disappeared. I now feel full after smaller portions than before and notice I eat about half as much as previously and feel perfectly satisfied. I’ve read that you tend to gain weight back if you go off the drug and that many doctors feel you should be on it forever, as with other chronic conditions. I hope that’s not the case, as I don’t like the idea of being on any drug forever. In fact, I’m hoping I can also go off blood pressure meds eventually. My goal is to lose another 30 lbs, which now feels entirely doable. My excellent insurance covers it at $25 a month."

"It's been great-I'm 53 years old, and I've been taking it since August. I've lost 30 pounds with no side effects. I take a 0.5 mg shot once a week, and I feel better than I have since before my last pregnancy 13 years ago. I tried everything to lose weight, and it just wouldn't come off. I have a family history of heart disease that includes my father having his first heart attack at 36, resulting in open-heart surgery, and his death at 49 from another heart attack. When I was 50, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol, plus I weighed 230 pounds at 5'4" tall. I asked my doctor for a couple of years to prescribe a semaglutide, but because it was only really available for diabetics, she refused. When Wegovy was cleared for weight loss, she agreed to let me try it. It has been life-saving, I think."

"Started Wegovy in March 2022 with a goal of losing 50-75 pounds. I ended up losing a total of 85 pounds in about 11 months. I felt great upon taking the Wegovy. Only had mild headaches and mild stomach discomfort. I was not tired, I actually felt energized. However, by December, the nausea had reared its ugly head. I took Zofran, and it helped. I was able to stick it out with the nausea until February, at which time I stopped taking it. I could no longer live with the nausea. Since I stopped taking it, I have continued to suffer nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. My doctor and I are still trying to find the source of this continuing issue. I love the weight loss, and I love Wegovy!"

"I was started on Wegovy because my metabolism came to a crashing halt. No matter how healthy I ate, I kept gaining and retaining water weight. I was 478 pounds when I started in April 2023 and have lost 85 pounds in 7 months. My goal is another 100 pounds, but I've noticed that the weight loss slows down on certain weeks and increases other weeks. I've been on 2.4 mg for about 5 months and haven't experienced many of the side effects that have been known to occur. The worst was the upset stomach and the body cleansing itself the first couple of weeks. I am now wearing clothes that I have not been able to fit into for almost 4 years. Wegovy may not be for everyone, but it has been a game changer for me!"

"I'm a male, 52, 5'7, 234 lbs, and 40-inch waist. I have been on Wegovy for 5 months now. It has been very easy to give myself the shot once a week, and I barely even feel it. I have dropped to 185 lbs, with a 32-inch waist. Started with 0.5 mg and now on 1.7 mg. I have no side effects except for some heartburn. From day one, my appetite has slowly gone down. I eat less than 1500 calories a day and exercise daily at the gym for 45 minutes. Wegovy is absolutely wonderful and has changed my life forever. Also, my A1C was always over 6.0, and now it's 5.3, still going down. I will stay on Wegovy for the rest of my life. This has been a life changer for me!"

"I'm 60 years old, started taking Wegovy for weight loss, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. I’ve been on the medication now for 10 weeks. My starting weight was 296. Currently, I weigh 266, and my numbers are great. The cons are I only feel good 4 days a week. The first 3 days after the injection are tough: nausea, headaches. But as far as I’m concerned, it works great. I’m not hungry at all. I feel much better. Another added bonus for me was I was a heavy drinker. On this medication, I have no desire to drink at all. I went from 5 cases a week to absolutely nothing. I don’t miss it at all. Miracle drug."

"I’ve been using Wegovy for 12 weeks. I’m up to 0.50 and staying here. Tried 1.0 and it was too strong. Felt nauseous and experienced painful stomach cramps with 1.0. I have reached my goal weight. I lost 35 pounds and I’m very happy with the process and results. The only negative is, I’m on thyroid medication and noticed hot flashes and heart palpitations I didn’t experience before. I had my levels checked and they are way off! Consulting with my doctor. Not sure if I’ll continue Wegovy."

"I had my second 0.25 shot 2 days ago. My appetite is definitely less, and I am able to stay on my 1200 calorie lower carb diet without the hunger that haunted me before Wegovy. I also take a multivitamin once daily. I have lost about 7 lbs. I have been constipated, but nowhere near the amount that opioids do. I do chart my food intake and sip fluids throughout the day. Exercise three days a week. So far, so good."

"I was prescribed Ozempic for weight loss in Nov 2022. I started on 0.25 mg for one month. I found it slightly suppressed my appetite, and the side effects I had were awful heartburn, constipation, and sulfur burps. Sometimes I felt nauseous. I decided to stick with it anyway and increased to 0.5 mg after one month. The symptoms were the same but added in fatigue. A month later, I bumped up to 0.75, and the burps, fatigue, and heartburn subsided. I went to 1 mg two months later, and all symptoms disappeared. I started at 192 lbs on Nov 15th, and as of May 1st, I weigh 152 lbs. I found my sugar cravings disappeared once I started taking 1 mg. Up until then, I still craved sugary foods. I lost all interest in greasy food (fries, anything deep-fried, etc.) from 0.5 mg and up. I personally love Ozempic. The side effects at the beginning were worth it for me, but from the sounds of it, mine weren’t that bad. I have never once thrown up."

"My first dose made me sick as a dog two days after the injection. Nausea, felt like I could vomit, and kept swallowing over and over again. Cold chills, it was awful! I do not plan to continue. No pain, no gain. I’ll get my loss the old-fashioned way with proper diet and exercise. Never again want to feel this way on Ozempic."

"In August, my doctor prescribed me Wegovy 0.25. It was out of stock, so I started with Saxenda. I took it for 1 month and lost 13 lbs. When it was time to refill, Saxenda was out of stock, so my doctor switched me to Wegovy 1.7. Since I didn’t have any side effects and that is what was available. Since 8/9/23, when I started my weight loss journey, I have now lost a total of 40 lbs. The medication does work. The only problem is it staying in stock. I can now fit into clothes I wore pre-pandemic. My BMI went from 36 to now 28.7. The only side effect is some stomach cramping, but I realized I needed to drink more water and force myself to eat something even though I am not hungry. Hope this is helpful."

"I started Wegovy in April 2024. I was 193 lbs at just between 5’1”-5’2.5. I had tried everything, but food noise and the fact that being so short, the calorie intake had to be so low to lose weight. Anyway, the first thing I noticed was a bit of nausea. That went away after a few days. I have had very minimal side effects. Sometimes a little nausea, constipation, or diarrhea. Nothing to really disrupt my life. For the first time in my life, I actually can tell when I am full. My IBS has been almost non-existent. I’m more awake. I have fewer sweet cravings. The food noise is still there, but my stomach is able to signal my brain that if I eat more, I will feel sick. I have lost to date 4/2024-3/2025, 63 lbs. I am just about to hit my normal weight goal. I knew how to lose the weight. I am someone who has a very difficult time shedding the weight with exercise and diet. I am super grateful for this opportunity to prove that a drug works so well."

"I just completed my first 2 weeks. I want to lose 35-40 pounds. In the past year, I have gained a pound a month and have been steadily gaining weight every year for the past 7 years. I have previously tried Weight Watchers, increased activity, and calorie watching, and the only time I lost any weight was on less than 1300 calories a day. The first week, I lost 3.5 pounds, more weight than I had lost in the past 5 years even with calorie restriction. I inject in alternating thighs on Friday nights, just in case I have symptoms I can recover without work demands. I have always been gassy, so I cannot comment if there is a difference in the amount. I am noticing increased chest tenderness and muscle spasms. Restless legs are a thing! Taking magnesium once or twice a week also helps with moderate constipation. Reduced appetite, reduced sugar craving, but no impact on munchies. Makes it easier to choose healthier choices. Overall, happy with almost a 5-pound weight loss in 2 weeks. Minimal side effects and well worth it."
