For Migraine "Made my pain worse, made me super anxious, tired, nonfunctional for the whole day. It also made me extremely hazy, with some of the worst brain fog I’ve ever had, and gave me some shortness of breath. Definitely do not recommend."

For Migraine "Migraines were bad, and this rizatriptan made it worse! Have a weird burning, achy sensation in my brain, my neck, and my shoulders, as well as tightness, and anxiety got bad. Hoping to fall asleep and wake up feeling better. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL!!"

Rizatriptan for Migraine "Suffered from debilitating migraines for about 17 years before my doctor prescribed Maxalt when I saw her about multi-day migraines. Maxalt is a game-changer. Migraine gone in about half an hour to an hour. Usually need sleep half the day after taking it and hence take the day off work, but no longer have to take 2-3 sick days in a row. Added bonus, it completely calms my anxiety while I’m under the effect. Wish I could take one every day for that reason."

Rizatriptan for Migraine "I have suffered from headaches since I was twelve, and nothing seemed to help other than just going to bed. With those headaches, although I usually got sick, they would be gone when I woke up the next day. When I got into my late 40s, the headaches lasted 2-3 days, starting at the beginning of my menstrual cycle. I would take tons of Advil to try and keep them at bay. I started taking Maxalt two months ago, and it really works. I sometimes have to take two in a 24-hour period, but normally one a day (during my period) keeps the headaches away. The only side effect I notice is that I feel more anxious and edgy during the time I take the medicine. I highly recommend."

Rizatriptan for Migraine "I had my doubts that this would work -- it was fantastic! Within 15-20 minutes, the pain that felt like my skull was in a vise disappeared. I am a horse trainer, and I work full time on my own farm, and I can't function when I have a migraine (4-5 attacks a month, 24-48 hours each time). Maxalt 10 mg was a miracle for me. I don't have to put all the work on my daughter, and my temper has become much more even. The anxiety of worrying about a migraine attack has helped enormously for my emotional state, too. **Side note:** I had a Mirena IUD and had it removed, I believe this contributed to the attacks, so hopefully in 4-6 weeks I won't need the Maxalt either."

For Migraine "This rizatriptan medicine is terrible, side effects are not worth it, IMO. Migraine went away, but having neck and jaw pain, anxiety, and feeling weird in the head like when you first take an antidepressant or antipsychotic. It has been three hours since the first 10 mg dose and still have the side effects, terrible medication."

For Migraine "I have taken rizatriptan for about 10 years, they work well if taken early on in an attack. I have suffered with migraines for nearly 30 years, and in that time, they have changed how they affect me. I used to have auras, then a numb head on one side, nowadays, I just have intense pain. But I have noticed lately that although the rizatriptan gets rid of the pain quite quickly, I start feeling anxious and get a bleak foreboding feeling come over me that lasted 8 hours. I try to only take 1/2 a tablet nowadays and only take the other half if it returns."

For Migraine "This drug was a nightmare for me. I'd just gotten out of the hospital and had bad headaches, so I was put on Maxalt 10 mg a day. It made me really confused, disoriented, anxious, agitated, dizzy, tired, and gave me bad rashes. I couldn't concentrate at work, had terrible memory problems, and lashed out in anger. I thought I was going crazy. It got so bad that at one point I thought I just wanted to die. I wasn't sure what the cause was, though, because I had also been put on other meds when I got out of the hospital. Then, after about 1.5 months of taking it daily, I started to try and wean off, taking a little less each day, hoping that it was the cause and I started feeling so much better. I felt like I had come out of a coma. I was thinking clearly again, my memory came back, I wasn't so agitated all the time, and my rashes faded. My headaches got worse, but I could at least live with that - what I couldn't live with was all the crazy side effects that made me go insane."

Rizatriptan for Migraine "Migraine gone, severe anxiety, agitation, brain fog. Also felt light-headed and had neck and jaw pain. Two days on and still feel weird in the head. Terrible medication, would rather have the migraine all week than take this poison ever again."
