"Took this for ten days. Started period while still taking it. After my bleeding stopped, I had to go to the ER as I was experiencing leg/foot pain and frequent burning urination. Was diagnosed with acute vaginitis at the ER, but no one could tell me why I had leg pain. I am still fighting burning urination and leg pain two weeks after taking the last dose of this medication."

For Endometrial Hyperplasia, Prophylaxis "I am taking this med without any estrogen for endometrial hyperplasia. I am in my first cycle of taking this and already started a period on day 9 of the 12 pills. I really hope this will eradicate my hyperplasia."

For Premature Labor "Mild side effects such as fatigue and hunger, horrible headaches if not taken at all. Seems to work, however, for the price paid for the medication, seems like they could include an applicator like the ones they give with gels and OTC yeast meds, etc. It's not fun or very easy trying to shove pills in your VAGAY with your fingers every single time you must use this medication."

For Perimenopausal Symptoms "The effect of Prometrium for perimenopausal symptoms alongside application of Estrogel is as intended. I am a shift worker who had to get clarification from a second doctor as to when to take on a 24/7 rotating roster. My biggest problem is swallowing the capsule, I have never had problems swallowing anything, but the capsule more often than not is hard to swallow and seems to make its way back up my esophagus, causing discomfort. I now have to take it well before bedtime and drink up to 2 liters of water to avoid the feeling of this well into the night. After Googling this problem, I have found many posts describing the same problem."

For Progesterone Insufficiency "I am on a 100 mg dose, days 14-28 of my period or the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. The first month was great, I felt level. The only side effects felt were extreme sugar cravings and vivid, bizarre dreams. However, in month two, no cravings, extreme mood swings, and ranging from a need for a lot of sleep, not wanting to get out of bed, to anxiety and very little sleep. No pregnancy yet."
