For Acute Coronary Syndrome "I had angioplasty with one stent placed in the right artery one year back and was put on Brilinta and aspirin. Had red rashes on skin and breathing issues, the doctor replaced Brilinta with prasugrel 10 mg. Now I am getting back to normal. Slightly worried about adverse bleeding risk associated with it, considering I am only 45 years old. Never expected I would have a stent so soon in my life, but have to accept and move on."

For Heart Attack "At 56, had a heart attack out of nowhere. Cardio puts me on prasugrel and I immediately have an adverse reaction with a rash and deep welts all over my body. I’m not allergic to anything else yet had a reaction to this drug. Cardio switched me to Plavix. How do drugs like prasugrel get approved?"
