For High Blood Pressure "Was a bit scared to start on perindopril. I always had high-ish blood pressure (140/90) but recently, health issues + anxiety (and taking too many Advil and Sudafed) made my BP climb to 190/110! I was put on Perindopril 8 mg. The first couple of weeks, my BP was all over the place, from really high to really low. At week 3, it stabilized to about 135/80. For me, this drug has been very effective, and so far I don't have many side effects... A little dizzy at times, headaches, and once in a while, heart fluttering for a second or two. But other than that, the most noticeable side effect is much lower anxiety! I used to often experience physical anxiety - fast heartbeat, chest tightness, a sense of dread and unease... And to my surprise, Perindopril has greatly reduced all of these symptoms (my doctor said this wasn't very common in her experience, but could certainly happen). Everyone is different, but I hope it works as well for you as it does for me!"

For High Blood Pressure "I have been on perindopril 4mg for 3 months now, and since then my BP has increased to higher levels than I have ever seen before. Due to coronavirus, I do not want to go to the hospital. My doctor has advised me to double the dose to 8mg and will call back in a week. But since then, my BP has remained the same at 154/110 and has not come down. I have trouble sleeping, have headaches, unusual tiredness... I need to get off this med before it finishes me."

For High Blood Pressure "Taking perindopril 4mg for over 2 years, my blood pressure went down from 190/130 to 130/85 in a couple of days. But now, after so long taking the medication, I am starting to feel something is not right as I have muscle pain, dizziness, headaches, and my heartbeat went down to 50bpm. Maybe it's time to change..."

For High Blood Pressure "37-year-old male with a family history of hypertension. On 8 mg/day for 5 years now. Thinking of stopping soon. Dry cough at times, constant nasal and sinus problems since taking, heart flutters every once in a while, weekly headaches, neck pain. Does control BP for the most part but starting to not work. I missed a few doses a couple of times and felt like rubbish. Overall, not a great medication but better than a diuretic."

For High Blood Pressure "Was started on 8 mg perindopril erbumine after 3 years complaining about racing, pounding heart, anxiety, and panic attacks. BP ranged from 180 to over 200. Immediate relief with BP dropping to 110 to 123/56 range. Seven weeks into this med, my heart is pounding and racing again. BP 152/77, feeling nauseous, dizzy spells, anxiety. Scary as I live alone and have a family history of heart problems. Father died at 42 yrs., youngest brother dead at 58, brother two years my senior has had four strokes but is still alive. Not sure if perindopril needs increasing... or is still adjusting to my system. Major pains and aches in back/shoulders and headaches increasing. Heart testing recommended by Dr. in hospital emerg. Family Dr. has dropped the ball on that. Need to be my own advocate."
