For High Blood Pressure "I have been on this for high blood pressure for about two years. I have now changed because I can’t handle the effects. I have a very bad dry cough, keeps us up at night and a thirst for water and crave sodium so bad that’s become almost unbearable. Also, serious body aches and nose congestion! It works well on my bp, but can’t keep taking it anymore."

For High Blood Pressure "Excellent drug with few side effects. I have only experienced a cough with the high dose of 10 mg that was really transient and disappeared when I shifted to 5 mg. I have been taking this medication for almost 11 years now. It is a perfect drug, effective and has no side effects."

For High Blood Pressure "As these forums usually tend toward the negative, I thought I would add my experience for balance. I have taken 4 mg for many years, and for a year, took 8 mg. Since losing weight, I am back on 4 mg. I have a slight dry cough, but nothing too troublesome and have not experienced any other adverse side effects. My blood pressure is well controlled."

For High Blood Pressure "Exhausted, falling asleep at work, dry cough for 4 months and still got it. Agonizing pains in thighs and bum, painful walking, just want to sit in a chair after work, not like me at all. My blood tests and X-rays all normal, rashes on chest, water infections, dizzy, lightheaded. I had enough, chucked them in the bin, 8 mg for 7 months, waiting for an alternative BP tablet from the doctor tomorrow. Who wants to keep blacking out halfway through the day at work, at a show, pantomime, etc.? Felt shocking, not for me."

For High Blood Pressure "37-year-old male with a family history of hypertension. On 8 mg/day for 5 years now. Thinking of stopping soon. Dry cough at times, constant nasal and sinus problems since taking, heart flutters every once in a while, weekly headaches, neck pain. Does control BP for the most part but starting to not work. I missed a few doses a couple of times and felt like rubbish. Overall, not a great medication but better than a diuretic."

For High Blood Pressure "I was prescribed Perindopril (4/1.25 mg) for hypertension, with an emphasis on a stubborn diastolic value. My experience has been positive; I have been on it for about 6 weeks. Not only did it reign in my diastolic blood pressure (both systolic and diastolic are in the normal range now), but it alleviated my symptoms of anxiety. My heart no longer races, and the emotional components of my anxiety are also gone. I do notice a bit of a dry cough. I am very grateful that my doctor introduced me to Perindopril. I feel really good now!"

For High Blood Pressure "On 4 mg once a day. My legs don't swell anymore, and my heart doesn't pound in my chest hard all night. Sinus issues, dry cough, and some hair loss, though. Has not changed my blood pressure from the previous Adalat XL I was taking. Usual reading 140/90. But my high BMI doesn't do me any favors."

For High Blood Pressure "Blood pressure down: now 130/70. Have had severe tickling of throat and cough most of the day and kept awake at night. Just had a gastroscopy, and results clear."

For High Blood Pressure "I have been taking this medication for several years now, which has kept my BP stable. I hadn't found any noticeable side effects until earlier this year, but I now wake up with a feeling like there is something in the back of my throat when I swallow. I have a blocked nose which turns drippy as the morning goes on, plus occasional sneezing and a dry cough. I have checked online and apparently, cold symptoms are quite common. Don't know why they have taken so long to appear though."
