For Epilepsy "In short term, it made me crazy! At first, it controlled my seizures, which had been under control, but I had some breakthrough seizures. I had a complete personality change. Didn't trust anyone. Pretty much 90% of the side effects that were on the warnings. After I read the pharmaceutical information, I wondered how the FDA approved this drug. And when I was having to be weaned off the drug, it was hell. Hallucinations, shakes, sweating. I assume what a drug addict would go through. I can't believe I am the only person who has experienced this. After this, I of course was given another medication. Ever since I was given this medication, I have had memory loss. My seizures have increased. Were over 6 years under control."

For Epilepsy "Fycompa worked decently on the seizures, however, it destroyed my memory. I had no idea I was forgetting things, it was people around me who noticed, and it was bad. Memory problems ceased when I stopped taking the Fycompa."

For Epilepsy "Fycompa was able to stabilize me seizure-wise when I was having issues with multiple seizures from one of my other medications (which I weaned off of). I will say, as I was starting Fycompa, I did have times of confusion, balance issues, and memory (brain farts). Granted, it only lasts about half an hour. That being said, I am glad I stuck with it. I am currently 2 years seizure-free when I was previously having them 1-2/3 times a year."

For Seizures "I have a large arteriovenous malformation (AVM) that stretches across part of my temporal and frontal lobes. I had tonic-clonic seizures at least once a week, sometimes at work, on the train, while walking, while shopping… basically anywhere. I have been prescribed different medications in the past, including Topamax, Keppra, Trileptal, Mogadon, Lamotrigine, and Tegretol, but they have not worked. Fycompa is the only medication that has been able to control my seizures. Yes, I do get side effects such as severe migraines if I’m more than 1 hour late taking it, anger problems, weight gain, lethargy, depression, poor sleep, unable to focus, slurred speech, memory issues, and I feel like I’m high/tipsy 1-2 hours after taking it. But I willingly accept these side effects as long as I never have a seizure in a public place again. I’m a civil engineer and cannot afford to have seizures on an active construction site. I love Fycompa!"

For Epilepsy "Was on it one month and stopped. Worst med I’ve ever taken. Caused severe memory and concentration issues. Was even let go from my job due to the side effects."
