For Schizophrenia "I get a monthly injection. I've been on this for 3 months, but I am going to get this stopped. It's made me gain 30 lbs. I have no motivation. I don't enjoy music, films, crafts, or anything. All I do is lie around and eat chocolate. It is as if my brain is stuck. I'm impatient, restless. I'm bored constantly. It has stopped my hallucinations, and voices are no longer there. But I feel I won't have any if I come off it now. I don't know. I'm agitated. I feel useless."

For Schizophrenia "I’ve been doing pretty good off of the Invega 117 mg injection for 5 months. Feeling extremely restless, can’t sit still. Starting to forget some things here and there. Having a lot of dreams that wake me up while asleep. Eating a lot of food, I can’t stop eating, starting to gain weight. I feel off of a lower milligram, the side effects that I feel go down a lot, and the medication is still useful."

For Bipolar Disorder "I have had a really bad experience with this drug. I was arbitrarily diagnosed with bipolar by a doctor and put on forced drugging, even though I've never been manic in my life, and the times I have been depressed have been contextual. Why would I want to continue taking a drug I'm forced to take for something I know for a fact I don't have? I'm hyperactive and obsessive-compulsive, not manic. The ethics of forced drugging are questionable. The drug has given me akathisia, which thankfully goes away. It has given me persistent sexual dysfunction problems (erectile dysfunction), and my sleep has been terrible. Before I was on this drug, I was sleeping great, I would wake up every morning at six and would feel fresh and ready for the day. The moment I was put on this drug, no matter how long I slept for, I would wake up feeling exhausted, drowsy, sedated, and hypoactive and could barely get myself out of bed before 11 every day. Thankfully, my hyperactivity (ADHD) returns in the afternoon."

For Schizophrenia "Don't take this injection. I used paliperidone for 18 months, and believe me, it was hell. I was very depressed, restless, and tired. First, I thought maybe it was just the things I lived through that made me this way, but after 18 months, I realized it wasn't. I couldn't enjoy anything. I was anxious. I was very restless, so restless and stressed that I almost passed out. It didn't matter if I slept 10-13 hours, I was still tired. I became a zombie with very gloomy feelings. The only positive thing was that I didn't have delusions, but was that worth suffering? I am glad that I could take action to go back to my old, trustable meds. It's short, but I hope I can hold people back from this medication with my experience and take a lot better medication."

For Schizophrenia "I had a psychotic episode that lasted for a year, which was very scary. Until I was detained for my unusual and detrimental behavior. I was on a different drug first, but it didn’t do anything for me by not stopping my delusions. After being put on this at 100 mg, it stopped my psychosis in its tracks, which was good, but it gave me terrible akathisia and made me severely slow and depressed. I was then switched to 75 mg. I have been on 75 mg for exactly 350 days, nearly a year, and have just started to feel the true benefit of this drug. While the 100 mg was leaving my system over this period, I would wake up every 2 hours and often struggle to go back to sleep. But now I believe I am truly stable on 75 mg and am pleased to say I can sleep for a continuous 5 hours, and most importantly of all, it has given me an energy boost I couldn’t have even dreamed of. I am now full of energy and have a continuously positive mood. I tell you for one that this drug is a godsend at 75 mg."

For Schizophrenia "Depression, restlessness, weight gain, no desire to do anything, poor sleep, stiffness, lack of libido, anxiety. You name it, this drug gives you it. Put simply, I would rather listen to the voices."
