Oxycodone for Chronic Pain "Was taking Percocet 10/325 for a very long while. It helped, but only for 4 hours, so I had bad ups and downs. So, the doctor put me on this rubbish. I've been taking it for a week now. This week has been hell. No relief at all. It's like taking nothing except for side effects. God-awful nausea. Worse back pain. I just want my Percocet back. This medication is worthless."

Oxycodone for Pain "I’ve been on it a week. First off, I got nauseated, then realized I probably needed to eat with it. I’m not a breakfast eater, so this is going to be an issue. But I did start eating a few saltines with it. I’m on 18 mg. They do nothing for the pain by themselves. If I take them with my breakthrough med, they do seem to help a little bit more. But they do take an hour and a half to two hours to notice any pain relief, then they only work for like four hours after that. So no way they can be considered long-acting. Also, they make me sleepy constantly, so now I have absolutely no energy to get up and clean the house. So to sum up, they are pretty worthless."

Oxycodone for Pain "Using 20 mg OxyContin x 3 tabs a day, it's very good for pain, as good as morphine, I believe. At first, I felt sick and puked repeatedly, after 4 days, nausea settled down. I've been on the same dose for 5 years. The way I did it is to expect and live with some pain, if breakthrough occurs, then lie down, deal with that, and do not up the dose. For the most part, it works well. There are no prescribing issues as I am in the UK, and there's no problem here, and it's OC that I get and not OP. Overall, a decent painkiller if used sparingly, try to resist the extra breakthrough meds."

For Chronic Pain "Oxycodone by the brand RHODES Pharmacy is God awful- my pharmacy just switched - what can a patient do? It doesn’t treat my pain- I’m severely constipated and nauseous!!! My previous prescription of oxycodone from Amneal Pharmacies was perfect and I had a life- I’m a CRPS (chronic regional pain syndrome) patient and live in constant pain, but I had a life with that medication- I’m beside myself -"

Oxycodone for Chronic Pain "After being on methadone for tonsil cancer and going through radiation, the methadone only made me sick to my stomach with no pain relief. Roxicodone has not given me any bad side effects, and I'm even on Xanax, but I do not abuse them and take them as little as possible. However, the Roxicodone liquid seems to take your pain and bad thoughts away, so you may not even need your nerve pill. It also tastes like a good cherry flavor, but boy is the radiation painful to the throat. I'm trying to wait the pain out, but it's pretty severe. But the Roxicodone takes a good deal of it away and is much better than methadone, in my opinion."

Oxycodone for Chronic Pain "Horrible medication. This is my first review for anything, but I felt I had to say something. I was on oxycodone 10/325 for years for chronic pain and never had a problem with side effects. Since being on Oxaydo, from day one, I've felt sick. Stomach pain and burning, nausea, constipation, horrible headaches, and bouts of dizziness, not to mention I'm in more pain now than ever. I've barely left the house since I started this crap. While I think an abuse-deterrent is a great idea, something is not right with this medication."

For Chronic Pain "I'm 62. I've been on meds for years, which worked well; felt no need to abuse it. Now I see a change in quality, dosage, strength, and side effects. Add to that the difference in different drug companies and brands is another problem (you never know what you're getting at your local pharmacy anymore); you get a hodgepodge of declining product. My own reviews are that I could manage my pain better with a regular non-ER pill. ER causes me sleepless nights, whereas I never had that problem before, so I try to cut out my evening pill. Doubling the dosage for some recently sprained purple toes was worse than a break to me, as it caused me to throw up repeatedly; never again. Please hear me out. I don't advocate this for everyone, but every now and then, I dissolve half an ordinary pill with Pepsi within my regular dosage. Works fast and keeps queasiness at bay. Also, try not to scratch that itch (bad side effect), especially while trying to sleep. Keep a bottle of Curel handy. Gawwd, I do. Adjust if you must. You know your body. Let's be safe out there. Have a great day/week. One man's opinion."

Oxycodone for Chronic Pain "Chronic pain from bone spurs in my neck and spinal degradation in my lower back. I have been on pain meds for ten years. I have tried everything except fentanyl. Hydrocodone worked best for me overall with no side effects like nausea or constipation. But my liver enzymes went above normal, and the doctor thinks it is caused by the Tylenol that is combined in the hydrocodone. I changed to morphine, which I had to stop because of the terrible nausea that got worse and worse after two weeks. She then put me on Xtampza. I do not like to wait over an hour for it to work. When it does kick in, it works okay, but it lasts only six hours most days...7 at the most. Pain relief is okay, but hydrocodone worked better for me even though Xtampza is supposed to be 1.5 times stronger. Xtampza does cause me slight nausea, but it also elevates my mood. I am going to try and talk to my pain doc to give me regular oxy. I don't know why she is reluctant to do so. Hydrocodone works better than Xtampza for pain in my case."

For Chronic Pain "I have chronic pelvic pain from endometriosis and chronic back pain (lumbar radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, bulging and dried-out discs) that began after tearing a ligament near my spine. I was prescribed one 40 mg ER tablet every 12 hours. While it did reduce my pain to a 3 from an 8, it also gave me a horrible headache, made me nauseated, caused me to feel hot, and made me sweat. After only 3 days on this 'medicine,' I had to stop taking it because I could not tolerate those horrid side effects. The only reason I gave it a 3 out of 10 is that it did relieve the pain, but the benefits did not outweigh the nasty side effects. This stuff seemed like pure poison to me. TAKE THIS MEDICATION WITH EXTREME CAUTION."

For Chronic Pain "I have been on the same medication for a while due to all the injuries I have to my back and other areas. I've been getting the Mallinckrodt 30 mg immediate release oxycodone from the same pharmacy every month, and they work great for me with no problems of any kind. There was an issue at the pharmacy I use this month, so I went somewhere else and ended up with the Rhodes 30 mg oxycodone R P 30 mg, and these are absolutely horrible. This is the second day, and so far, every time I take one of these, I get nauseous and sometimes throw up a couple of hours later. It seems like something is not right about this medication. It's not helping the pain very much, and my body seems to be rejecting them. Not sure what I'm going to do for now, but I will NEVER get these again. Looking forward to next month, so I won't have to suffer anymore."

For Chronic Pain "My pharmacy switched brands to the Camber T 188 Oxycodone 15 mg. They have made me so sick. I have been nauseated, light-headed, cold sweat, and just a general feeling of malaise since I started taking these. At first, I thought possibly they were too strong, but now I'm questioning if there is anything in them. From what I read, these are produced by Camber Pharmaceuticals. I have never, in all this time taking this medication, had something make me feel so terrible. I almost feel like I'm poisoning myself. I called the pharmacy, and they stated I wasn't the only one who had complained and that I wouldn't be given them again, but unfortunately, they couldn't take them back. This seems so unfair to people who legitimately suffer from chronic pain."

Oxycodone for Pain "Have had 13 low back surgeries. The OxyContin has helped me lead as normal a life as much as possible, until they changed them. They don't work even near what the OC had. I know they say not to crush them, but I would crush one. Doctor put me to 4 80s three times a day. To get to where I had been getting somewhat of a life back, I would crush one for breakthrough pain, felt pretty good. Now I am right back in bed 24 hours a day. Also noticed my body has been putting out a smell like burnt rubber, and sick to my stomach. Have not had a bowel movement in 2 weeks. I told the doctor I would give him all my OxyContin back to him to just get something else. So I will be changing."

For Chronic Pain "I was taking the Rhodes brand 30 mg oxycodone for 2 years with exceptional relief. This pill is easy to cut in half or quarters, which is almost impossible with other brands. Now the pharmacy changed to KVK Tech and it’s substandard to Rhodes, plus, KVK causes severe stomach trauma and nausea. The Rhodes brand is superior and should be used by all pharmacies because it works and is less likely to be abused because of its size."

For Chronic Pain "Rhodes Pharmacy 5 mg oxycodone has saved my life. Oxys from other companies like KVK made me feel depressed, high, and sick to my stomach, but gave me pain relief still. And one day my pharmacy supplied Rhodes P. for the first time, and bingo! I fell for it ever since. In my case, Rhodes P. components cope perfectly with my body and feel practically normal and almost pain-free with 2 to 3 x 5 mg per day. A piece of advice, be active and try to exercise as much as you can, and don't rely on this med to solve your physical problems, and remember, always be positive!"

For Chronic Pain "This Rhodes company makes the worst generic oxycodone ever! I don't understand how a different company has a more effective medication, no side effects. While Rhodes does not seem to help, my pain lingers longer than 2 hours, it causes me nausea, headaches, jaw aches, it's horrific! If you have a choice, choose anything but this company."

For Pain "Oxycodone is relatively effective at relieving moderate pain. It is somewhat fast acting, so relief comes within a reasonable amount of time. Downside: pain relief does not last very long, and the side effects can be difficult to tolerate. The dizziness and nausea associated with taking the medication actually last longer than the pain relief."

"Since taking this medicine, I have been able to get out of my wheelchair. Although in the beginning, the side effects were a little hard to get used to, it has greatly increased the quality of my life. I do, however, wish that it was more readily available to my pharmacy, as there are times that I worry whether or not I will be able to get it and never knowing which brand I will get. Each generic brand comes with its own set of side effects, from headaches to itchy skin to nausea. They need to be more consistent with the inert ingredients to avoid this problem."

For Chronic Pain "Looks like I had to take a look at reviews and share my experience with the prescription of Rhodes 10 mg, 120 count oxycodone I received last month. I am 100% disabled, have had over 12 surgeries for all knees and shoulders, including 2 total replacements. Degeneration of spine and herniated disk. Sarcoma survivor and several comorbidities. Pain medication for over 15 years. Usually, all I have received has been the KVK Tech brand. CVS handed me this Rhodes brand. From the first dose, it was off, I felt light dizziness, nausea, and hot flashes. Didn't notice pain relief. Like others, I'm sure don't want to call up and rock the boat with the prescribers and chemists since the monthly process is so painful. I did call CVS today inquiring about my doctor specifically prescribing a generic brand name after this last month's fiasco of torture. His response was it's whatever CVS purchases at the time and cannot guarantee a request. Don't understand why, if a doctor specifically writes as prescribed, they can't just order it."

The pain still is present, and I've become nauseated all the time! Going to GI tomorrow and pray they give me an alternative pain medication until they can find out what's causing my abdominal pain."

For Pain "I had shoulder surgery 6 weeks ago, and it helped me tremendously the first 5 days after my surgery. I had to take it regularly every 4-6 hours to help with the pain. It worked wonders. It made me nauseous if I didn't take it with food and made me a little dizzy and light-headed, so no driving while on this medicine until you get used to it. Other than that, it was very helpful with my pain."

For Pain "I was taking oxycodone for a headache after a surgery, while it didn’t stop the pain altogether, it brought the pain down from a 10/10 to a 6 or 7/10. One issue I had was it made me incredibly nauseous, if the nurses didn’t give me anti-nausea medication, I would vomit. Besides that, I didn’t have any issues. Since this was around five years ago, I can’t remember my dosage and if it was covered by insurance."

For Pain "I was given oxycodone for pain relief in the hospital after hip replacement surgery. The pain relief was okay, but the side effects of nausea, confusion, and weakness made me feel wretched. Who wants to throw up repeatedly and feel pathetic after surgery? As soon as my surgeon swapped oxycodone for tramadol, the bad side effects disappeared. Tramadol's pain relief was comparable or better. I'm amazed by all these high ratings because many friends had similar bad side effects with oxycodone."
