Oxycodone for Pain "I posted a few months ago, but since then, I've started to have some issues with the formulation. I have developed headaches, and I have just felt a cloud of depression fall over me, which I never had while on plain oxycodone."

For Chronic Pain "I find that oxycodone is very effective for musculoskeletal pain, but seems to exacerbate neuro pain. It helps somewhat with a migraine spike. Using it gives me an 'active' headache (annoyance level, but still unpleasant) (visualized with a wire cage of a ball on a column coming out from just above the eyes, down to nose level. The cage has been pulled from the sphere and is stretched out and is 'outside' of the skull)."

For Chronic Pain "This Rhodes company makes the worst generic oxycodone ever! I don't understand how a different company has a more effective medication, no side effects. While Rhodes does not seem to help, my pain lingers longer than 2 hours, it causes me nausea, headaches, jaw aches, it's horrific! If you have a choice, choose anything but this company."

For Chronic Pain "This brand does not touch my pain. I’m very disappointed. I think this is a company that’s trying to get rich at our expense. They don’t care about our pain, because if they did, they would make a better product. They are cutting costs for themselves. Our pain is nothing to play with. Put a better, more effective product or go out of business. I got a headache from this brand, now I have to wait until the next business day to see if I can go to a different pharmacy to get another brand."

"Since taking this medicine, I have been able to get out of my wheelchair. Although in the beginning, the side effects were a little hard to get used to, it has greatly increased the quality of my life. I do, however, wish that it was more readily available to my pharmacy, as there are times that I worry whether or not I will be able to get it and never knowing which brand I will get. Each generic brand comes with its own set of side effects, from headaches to itchy skin to nausea. They need to be more consistent with the inert ingredients to avoid this problem."

For Chronic Pain "Was given oxycodone about a week ago for severe abdominal pain, and let me tell you! The headaches I'm experiencing now are so horrible that I can't function. The pain still is present, and I've become nauseated all the time! Going to GI tomorrow and pray they give me an alternative pain medication until they can find out what's causing my abdominal pain."

For Chronic Pain "In the recent past, oxycodone worked fine. VA switched to Rhodes brand for their vets, and now it gives me very little relief with side effects of headaches, nausea, clogged head, and earaches (headaches). This is terrible compared to previous meds."

For Chronic Pain "I was injured in training in the Army and honorably discharged. I had pain in my shoulders and back shoulders, blades, legs, also chronic headaches and migraines. If I knew how hard it was to come off of the pills, I would have rather done anything else and don’t recommend anyone to take any opioids or a medicine with any amount in them. I also recommend not to use longer than 2 weeks. This goes for any other drug close to this, unless you are terminally ill and plan to take it forever. Morphine and even hydrocodone, because it’s an opioid as well. If it has a strong chance of being mentally and physically addictive, never take it because the pain you have is not as bad as trying to stop it even if you have only taken it for a couple of months. Make it the last thing you ever take because it will be something that you will always take or have serious issues and problems that take years if you are ever able to not take it again."

Oxycodone for Pain "I have severe chronic neck pain due to permanent spinal cord nerve damage. I was given 20 mg twice a day, and it didn't give me enough pain relief. The doctor has increased the dose to 20 mg three times a day, and the side effects are too much to handle. My brain is foggy, I'm more anxious, dizzy, very lightheaded, I have a nagging headache that will not go away, and I have an all-around ill feeling. I like the idea of a pain medicine that is timed release and spreads out over time, but this medication is not right for me. I can't wait to get off of the OxyContin."
