For Opioid-Induced Constipation "I had a heart attack. Before that, I was hurting in my lower back and down through my hip all the way down to the bottom of my foot. The pain was very severe. I couldn't have surgery because I had a stent put in my heart and was on blood thinners. I hadn't been on the blood thinners (Brilinta) too long, so I had to wait. They put me on pain meds and muscle relaxers. The pain has been most severe and has been terrible. I've always had constipation problems and had awful constipation every day. They tried several different meds, but this is the only one that worked. My insurance won't cover it. I'm very worried my doctor gave me some samples, but they won't last long. I'm on Medicare and Medicaid."

For Opioid-Induced Constipation "Was taking Movantik for a while and was still constipated for years when my pain management physician asked me to try Symproic a year and a half ago. It began working right away without any side effects; however, after taking it for a year, I began having short bouts of diarrhea, constant nausea, and bilateral flank pain. Last summer, the diarrhea was frequent and at certain times very painful, lasting for days. Then I started feeling sick, and these episodes started occurring every few days. Just recently, I realized maybe Symproic was the cause. I stopped it and went back to Movantik four weeks ago. Since stopping Symproic, I haven't had any diarrhea. But the downside is now I'm constipated again. The Symproic worked well for my constipation for many months, great, then all the side effects started and are just too hard on my body. Is there something else that works for opioid-induced constipation?"

For Opioid-Induced Constipation "I am on methadone 29 mgs. I'm on a detox from methadone. I come down 2 mgs every month, but I've been on it since 2016, and in 2022 I started with really bad constipation. Since then, I've tried Miralax, lactulose, Linzess, senna, mag citrate, anything over the counter, and laxatives prescribed. My gastro prescribed Movantik, but after reading reviews specifically pertaining to methadone and Movantik, I read horror stories and was scared to try, so I did more research and came across Symproic. I took it at 5 pm tonight, and an hour later I went and I've gone 4 more times since. So far, working great, no complaints. I will check in after using a while and see if I'm still happy, but 10/10 for me now. No withdrawal symptoms whatsoever. No pain, but can definitely feel movement in my stomach when it starts working!"

For Opioid-Induced Constipation "I'm an 80-year-old lung cancer patient on chemotherapy, which causes peripheral neuropathy pain in my feet, for which I take Percocet (opioids) that cause severe constipation. Normally, the Senna laxative will relieve it, except when I do a round of chemo. Then the chemo, plus the opioids, really lock me up. The first time I went to the ER, they used Relistor, which worked perfectly, but the price is very high. I found Symproic for 75% less, and got immediate, painless relief the first time I took it, within the hour. By the way, I only take 20 mg of opioids daily, so even a small amount can cause OIC. Symproic was miraculous for me."
