Nalbuphine "Had surgery and was given Nubain in IV while at the hospital recovering when Dilaudid wasn't working. It undid all the previous pain meds within 10-15 min and did nothing in their place! I could feel everything as if I was on the surgery table freshly opened. The pain caused me to go into a slight shock from the intensity. I had to be put on oxygen for a few hours and back on Dilaudid. Never ever again."

"I had polio as a child in 1954. Then in 1989, I was diagnosed with Post-Polio Syndrome, a muscular/osteo/neurological progressive syndrome. The polio pain sent me to bed, unable to work anymore. As I am intolerant to most opioids, my doctor placed me, 30 years ago, on nalbuphine. I have never increased the dosage, and this medicine has allowed me to function almost normally in most daily activities except walking. Unfortunately, this syndrome is progressive, and since 2023, my legs do not respond, and I am in a wheelchair at 71 years old. Nalbuphine has helped me raise my children and grandchildren, to drive my car daily without an accident, and hold an executive job without being erratic. My only problem with nalbuphine is Pfizer. They often place the medication on back order, and with some medical insurances not covering this medication, it is a struggle that pain management doctors have to deal with, unnecessarily really. I give nalbuphine a 10."
