For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome "Been taking this drug for about 2 years. First year, it helped and I stayed awake, more energy. Now I get sleepy about 3 hours after. My eyes get so tired, usually a headache, also pretty chatty. I was prescribed 200 mg, and I never took that much. I take a little less than half, which may be not enough? Great in the beginning, and now I am not sure what to do."

For Drowsiness "I have just started using this med after extensive sleep testing. Due to medical reasons and just my own internal clock, I seem to have a combination of insomnia and hypersomnia. I'm currently only prescribed 100 mg 1/day. I guess I was hoping for a magic bullet, but the first day I took it, I promptly fell back asleep. The second day, I was able to stay awake and actually focus on getting things done. Today I slept for 36 hours straight in spite of taking it and am ready to go right back to bed. It also gives me some killer headaches. Being so new to it, and having seen positive results on one out of three days, I'm hoping that they'll be able to increase my dosage when I check in with the specialist in a couple of weeks."

Modafinil for Narcolepsy "Only side effect for Provigil was a headache for the first week. Much more effective medication, better results and fewer side effects."
