For Inflammatory Conditions "Herniated disc in lower back. Could barely stand. I went to my doctor, he prescribed this, and I felt amazing after the first dose. I felt great the first day. I'm on day two now, feel a little tired... but sleep is great with no pain. Hope it lasts."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I had my third back surgery on 12/31/15. Pain and tightness has been off and on since. Recently, the pain was so bad I couldn't take it anymore because my hydrocodone wasn't working. Went to the doc, and he put me in the methylprednisolone dose pack 4 mg. Overnight, it was better. You have to take it with food, or it will tear you up. Don't take it close to bedtime. No significant side effects other than mild depression and lethargy. May not even be due to the med, but it is a possibility."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Last month I was given this med by the orthopedic for a 'pinched nerve' from my neck to shoulder down my arm, which was very painful. I took a double dose pack, 42 pills total. I had never taken steroids before. Day 2, I immediately felt better. Great! By day 12, the last day of this regimen, I was so tired, bloated from lots of gas, but the pain was 90 percent better. The days following, I got so weak and just wanted to sleep all the time. Good thing I am retired. It's been 3 weeks since I stopped. The pain is back full force, my legs are swollen from water retention, and I'm full of gas. Pills were good for a short time, but now I am back to square one. Had 2 MRIs yesterday and will see the doctor in 4 days. Won't take these again."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Had a horrible cough. Choking so bad I actually hurt my neck. I was sure it was bronchitis. Dr. said no. Prescribed me this. First 2 days were fine. Then horrible stomach pains, no appetite, red rash on my face would come and go. I'm so extremely tired that no amount of sleep helps, leg cramps, I'm so sore all over I feel like I have been beaten, jaw pain. The list can go on. Shortness of breath almost like an anxiety attack. I still have the cough. I'll never take this drug again. I feel horrible."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have just had a 5-day course of the tablets in conjunction with gabapentin 100 mg and have to say after the 3rd dose I was absolutely floored! Really took it out of me physically with extreme tiredness and general weakness. Think I would rather have done without them had I realized how I was going to feel."

Methylprednisolone for Inflammatory Conditions "My hair is falling out. It's so hard to lose weight. I feel mentally a little off, like constant irritation. I also feel a little lethargic. When I first got the shots, I felt jittery for days. I'm having blurry vision."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I've had issues with my immune system for 6 years. Each episode would start with little congestion, then mouth sores, attack hip and shoulder, extreme tiredness, vision problems, and migraine. Episodes last 2 weeks to 2 months. Each one bringing me lower than the one before. Have been to the doctor and had many tests. Nothing definitive. Have appointment to see a rheumatologist next month, but the migraine with blurred vision and neck pain and shoulder pain had gone on for 11 days straight. Pain all over my head, waking me at night. I was scared. So, I called my doctor after research on the Internet and asked for this medication. I started it at 3 pm. By night, the headache was all but gone. Not good sleep, but better than miserable pain. Fuzzy head, blurred vision, second day. Still 90% better."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Took it for chondromalacia, arthritis, inflammation in my knees. After day 1, I felt 80% better. Able to sit, stand, bend my knees without tearing up. Day 2 almost better. Little lethargy, some indigestion. Other than that, totally worth it. Should note that I took it for my back before also-didn't work as well, but on knees it works really well."

Methylprednisolone for Inflammatory Conditions "Depo-Medrol is a nightmare drug which makes my skin extremely dry, flaky, and peeling. This drug has messed up my bowels, causing extreme gas and bloating plus sticky stools, plus I have to use the bathroom all day some days, and my anus will itch. I suggested maybe I have worms, but three stool samples say I don't. I feel chronically tired and hurt everywhere, and now I have daily headaches. This drug makes me think slow and feel dumb. So depressing. Been to a few doctors, and all they care about is a colostomy, which I feel is not the antidote for these bad side effects I've had for well over a year. I complained about these side effects after I was first given these injections, and the doctor turned a blind eye to them and kept giving me Depo-Medrol for over a year. I wonder if the doctor is keeping me sick to make money off of me."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I was prescribed this yesterday at urgent care for a very slow-growing allergic reaction since it was starting to affect my throat. I felt instantly better during the first day and dealt with the common side effects of appetite change and sweating, which I was okay with. When I woke up, though, on the second day, my chest had unusual palpitations, and it's making me lethargic, and my mood is pretty numbed. My doctor warned me of all the side effects, but the palpitations aren't a part of it, so I'm worried. If it doesn't get better before I take my second pill for the second day, I'm going back. It sucks because this medication was really working. I'd rather have prednisone instead, that worked before and had fewer effects."

Methylprednisolone for Immunosuppression "My comment is about Solu-Medrol 1000 mg given via IV for 3 days while hospitalized for bilateral pulmonary embolisms. The goal, get my platelets up over 100 so that I can start my blood thinner again. My platelets slowly increased. I noticed an immediate horrible taste in my mouth. The next day, feeling like I had pneumonia. I couldn’t breathe and felt worse than I have ever in my life. The second and third days, nervous, several panic attacks, tachycardia. I had headaches, exhausted. My vision is still blurry after several days. My left eye is droopy. I had 3 chest X-rays, no pneumonia. I have never taken over 60 mg of prednisone. This bronchitis that I feel was a result of the immunosuppressant has really put me down and made me depressed. I’m at home on 60 mg daily, no energy."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I've taken these packs a number of times. The first handful of times taken on various occasions, I suffered insomnia the first 2 nights of the 6-day course, which OTC sleep aid helped, and I also had hot flashes for two days, but the benefits certainly outweigh the minimal effects. Usually, I feel calmer during the day and more amped up at night, no matter what time I take the medicine. Thankfully, this time I've only had a few hot flashes, however, I've been euphoric and sad throughout the day, like my mood is really up or really down, and it stinks, but this is the price to pay when you have some health conditions. I am usually more tired the last day of taking the course, and after ending the course, I have stomach bloating for a few days. It's good to take the medicine with food to prevent a stomach ache/nausea."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Prior to my scheduled doctor's appointment, I developed an allergic reaction that caused my skin to itch and flare up. My doctor then prescribed this medication to me to help with the itching, rash, and my swollen glands. The first day of taking it, I felt off. Earlier in the day, I felt hot like I was experiencing a possible hot flash (I'm only 29), my face then became hot and red as though I had been out in the sun for too long. I felt lightheaded, dizzy, unbalanced. I just didn't feel like me. The next day, I didn't feel hot, though, I felt tired, very, very tired. I also felt hungry. I was on edge, I felt so anxious and irritable. I stopped taking it. I will be calling my doctor's office tomorrow. I would rather have swollen glands and itchy skin."

For Inflammatory Conditions "All was good when I was taking them, besides a headache. I was, like everyone else, felt young again. I have rheumatoid arthritis. I loved the medicine, until it was done. I've had an opioid problem and had severe withdrawals from it. This is right next to it. I only did a one-week pack: 6, then 5, then 4, so on. I wish I was warned of the aftereffects, I would have NEVER taken them. If I never had to stop, they would be wonderful, but the withdrawals from just one week's use had been awful. It's been 3 days, and I still have a headache, muscle aches, fuzzy head, no energy, and sick to my stomach. I threw up the day after I stopped and have had an upset stomach since. Depression. I'm finally starting to feel a little normal. I will never take them again unless it's life or death."

For Ulcerative Colitis, Active "Got the injection in gluteus maximus on Tuesday, Oct 30, 2018... immediately felt like I could breathe better. Next day had really bad jitters, flushing in my face and unable to sleep. After that started having pain in my neck and arm on left side, stomach felt like it was tight and going to burst... 5 days later still feeling very jittery/shaky on the inside and very tired... will NEVER be getting this again... hopefully, the side effects subside."

For Neuralgia "This drug is terrible! I finally got some courage to take it this morning. Well, after taking only 1 four mg pill, just 1, I started to feel lightheaded, somewhat dizzy, and my blood pressure, which is always low and normal, was 161/98 and a pulse of 112. This was not from me being worried, I calmed down and took it like an hour later, and it was that high! I can't take this medication! If I took 6 pills at once, I probably would have passed out. I also felt twitching in my kidneys, probably my adrenals! I started to shiver and felt cold, and when people say jittery, they mean it. I tried to sit and had to get up, which made me feel lightheaded. I drank 3 bottles of water and started to feel better, and my blood pressure decreased as the hours went on. I will deal with nerve pain until EMG to find out what is going on, and if possible, do injections so that it doesn't go systemic. I still feel tired and a bit cloudy-headed, couldn't concentrate at all."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I just took my last pill from a 6-day cycle. I felt relief in pain from the first day. It's strange, I can feel sensation where the pain was, but it doesn't hurt. It's like it's still there but not hurting. No side effects except a little tired. I'm praying this neck and shoulder pain stays away."
