For Neuralgia "I think this drug is way overprescribed when you look at all of the terrible side effects. I took the dose pack for only 6 days. It gave me pain in my legs that have not gone away after a month. It makes me worry now a lot. If there are other options to treat an illness or condition, consider those before using this or any other steroid."

"I was hesitant to use this medication because I looked at all the side effects from my condition: poison ivy. I was prescribed this medication as well as cephalexin (oral) and topical triamcinolone acetonide. I was very hesitant because I researched all the possible side effects, and they were many. I took it because it was recommended since I had an infection. I tell you what, I had absolutely zero negative side effects and the positive side effects of absolutely no pain in my body whatsoever, no stiffness, no pain, fluid movements, and a positive mood. I have not felt this good in many years. I almost want to get poison ivy again, lol. Oh, and about the poison ivy, it has taken away the edge and all the side effects. Highly recommend this stuff."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis "I have been taking methylprednisolone on and off for years. Yet every doctor that gives it to me always says, 'Now we don't want to stay on this too long because it has side effects.' Well, that's like saying don't drink poison, you might get a stomach ache. Out of about forty side effects, I had at least ten, and the most painful. Not realizing the cause, the more pills I took, the worse the pain got. My advice to anyone: don't take methylprednisolone for any reason ever."
