For Nasal Congestion "As an industrial insulation specialist, I have spent the last 6 years of my life suffering from chronic sinusitis, constant fatigue, pressure in sinuses and behind my eyes, ear infections, sinus infections, colds in all seasons. After extensive doctor visits and lots and lots of medical bills, I finally ran into an amazing doctor in the E.R. My sinuses had taken me on a turn for the worst, constant blurry vision, headaches, sinus pressure and pain, pain in ears, dry throat, disorientation, pain at the base of my skull, and constant fatigue. This doctor turned me on to Claritin-D. I have felt like a brand new person ever since. I am loving life again and living to the fullest. Thank you so much for changing my life, Claritin-D."

For Nasal Congestion "I use Claritin-D for my seasonal allergies. I started again this May. After taking it for a week, I have noticed my heartbeats faster than normal (100s now from 60s) and my blood pressure went up from 110s systolic and 70s diastolic to 140s/90s with headaches. So, I was thinking what's going on with me. I started salad and no salt diet for a week now (lost 5 pounds and feel good), increased my cardio to 45-60 mins 4 times a week, cut sodium intake, but my blood pressure stays high. I started reading about Claritin-D, and BOOM. This is what is causing my blood pressure to rise up! Today, I stopped using it. Sticking to the plain Zyrtec."

For Nasal Congestion "Claritin D 24 hour works well for sinus issues. However, the side effects that I experienced supersede the effectiveness of the drug: decreased urinary stream, cloudy urine, straining to push out urine from the bladder, insomnia, headache, increased heart rate. All symptoms lasted approx 24 hours. Inconvenient to purchase; have to show driver's license, as I found out its main ingredient is used to make crystal meth."

For Nasal Congestion "I have really bad seasonal allergies and was desperate to get rid of my horrible nasal congestion. As advertised, this drug does wonders for your nose, but the side effects that come with it are almost unbearable. Constant dull headache makes you jittery and super anxious, random muscle spasms, and sometimes it feels like my heart is going to explode. The lack of sleep tops it off. Sure, it’s great to breathe, but the side effects it comes with don’t seem worth it. I only took the drug for five days before I had to stop."

For Allergic Rhinitis "So I took this product for the first time, and all I can say is they need to find a way to create medicine that side effects aren't worse than what you're using it to treat. I have major allergies, but I'd rather suffer with the stuffy, runny nose, sinus headache, itchy, watery eyes, and cough than to ever take this medication again. It's just not worth all the side effects."

For Nasal Congestion "Best decongestant I have ever taken. As effective as any sinus rinse, but a lot less annoying to take a pill! One slight side effect: minor headaches. Do not take Claritin D-24 on a daily basis - it is too strong and caused dizziness."

For Nasal Congestion "After suffering with nasal congestion and trying a variety of allergy medicines, I tried using Claritin-D. Although it didn't clear up the nasal congestion, at first I did seem to feel better. THEN, the side effects started: extreme dry mouth, stomach pain, headaches, feeling nervous, faster heart rate, constipation, tingly feeling under my skin, insomnia, urinating less than usual. After quitting the medicine, I also had high blood pressure, fear and anxiety (I was afraid to be alone, so my grown children came to stay with me several days). I wouldn't take it again!!!"

For Nasal Congestion "My doctor recommended this to me because both my ears are congested. I'm not used to really taking medications. Just Tylenol and Motrin. So my first hour after taking it, I felt super nervous. My heart was pounding, felt like it was going to burst through my chest, and my breathing was really weird. Then later that night, I could not sleep for the life of me. I kept tossing and turning. Basically stayed up watching t.v. My fiancé asked if I had been up all night. I was up for more than 24 hours. I took 2 melatonin the night after, and I fell asleep. Woke up with a headache and dizziness. Mind you, I have anxiety. It triggered it. First time trying it and would not recommend it to anyone. YOU WILL NOT SLEEP."

"I've found this product helps to shrink the nasal passages to relieve some of the pressure, but not the headache the buildup causes. They should consider including acetaminophen for the pain that the built-up pressure can cause. In addition to taking the Alavert-D, I have to also take 2 Tylenol for the pain in order to get relief. Even with taking the Alavert-D and the pressure being released, the pain does not subside unless I take something for it."

For Allergic Rhinitis "OMG, this is the worst. Helped the foggy head, but the side effects are not worth it. Headache, shaking, dry mouth, trouble with deep breath. Still have hours before this wears off. Any worse and I am off for urgent care."
