Loratadine / pseudoephedrine "I've found this product helps to shrink the nasal passages to relieve some of the pressure, but not the headache the buildup causes. They should consider including acetaminophen for the pain that the built-up pressure can cause. In addition to taking the Alavert-D, I have to also take 2 Tylenol for the pain in order to get relief. Even with taking the Alavert-D and the pressure being released, the pain does not subside unless I take something for it."

For Nasal Congestion "I took the Kroger version of the Claritin D, and I have slept only 4 hours in 2 days. The medicine definitely works for the post-nasal drip and congestion, but I cannot sleep!!! I'm going to try taking it at 5 am instead of 5 pm."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Nasal Congestion "I took loratadine with pseudoephedrine for a sinus infection, and it’s working great so far. It gave me night sweats because of the antihistamine in it, just like Benadryl does sometimes to me. I just woke up and had to grab a towel to lay on in bed."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "I will say it worked well for my stuffy and runny nose from AR… but it’s kind of impossible to sleep when I’m taking this, even if I take it first thing in the morning. I also get super nauseous and shaky from it, and almost felt ready to pass out a few times. The dizziness is a bit too scary for me, lol. I’d say stick to the 12-hour version or just skip the pseudoephedrine if you feel like this too."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine "Works moderately well. Scary side effects are leg (only) muscles flutter (twitch) on their own. Stopping the product only lessens the original damage. Ruled out other drugs by stopping everything. Taking it on its own, the leg twitching is back full-throttle, but I can breathe better, and the itchy nose disappears."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Took one pill around 5 pm, slept poorly with frequent disruptive coughing from post-nasal drip that didn't dry up. Still had considerable sinus pain, so ended up taking a couple of Tylenol extra strength in the evening, although my coughing kept my wife and me up. D2 - still on Tylenol and still coughing unproductively. Better product than Aerius, but think I had quicker results from Claritin quick dissolve tabs."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "OMG, this is the worst. Helped the foggy head, but the side effects are not worth it. Headache, shaking, dry mouth, trouble with deep breath. Still have hours before this wears off. Any worse and I am off for urgent care."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "My allergy symptoms have been coming and going for a couple of weeks now and very minimal. Taking the medication did help a little, but it took quite a while for the symptoms to be alleviated. I have taken it again today first thing in the morning because I was feeling a little stuffy, nothing more than usual, and my symptoms have worsened significantly through the morning, and I have had absolutely zero relief. Eyes swelled and itchy, sneezing, and nose constantly running and feeling the need to take it right off because so itchy! Despite supposedly giving 24 hours, I am going to have to take something else to make it through the rest of the day at work and be able to function properly! Not impressed with what is claiming to give fast relief!"

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Nasal Congestion "The medication really helps relieve my sinus congestion. I prefer it over the other name brand. However, they've made the packaging so hard to get the pill out I wonder if they are trying to kill the product. It was hard enough to get it out before, but now in the new packaging, it's even harder."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "Sneezing, itchy eyes, and runny nose, terrible allergy attack. Normally I take Benadryl or one with diphenhydramine in it, but I didn't want to be tired all day, so I took Claritin-D 12 hour. BIG MISTAKE! It took 5 hours before it even started easing my allergy symptoms, and it still hasn't completely gotten rid of them, but I am stuck not being able to take anything else for another 6 1/2 hours. I would never recommend this!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "My 13-yr-old has seasonal allergies (spring), which, of course, vary each year. This year is worse - more congestion, coughing, and itchy throat. Normally, Claritin does the trick, but I tried Claritin-D 24 hr. It helped with the additional symptoms, but on the second day, my child had trouble sleeping, complained that the heart beat was faster, and was anxious. After reading other reviews of loratadine/pseudoephedrine, I realized these are indeed side effects and will have to go back to regular Claritin (without the pseudoephedrine)."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "Worst pill I have ever taken. After 14 hours of taking the pill, I feel tired, muscle pain... Same symptoms as when you have the flu. Didn't have any of these symptoms before taking the pill. Just the rhinitis, which, by the way, is still there but less symptomatic."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Nasal Congestion "12-hour Claritin D has worked wonders for me. It clears all the congestion in my head from my allergies and it produces no ill side effects for me. Through the years, I have had bad reactions to Benadryl, Sudafed, and a prescription decongestant, but for whatever reason, 12-hour Claritin D is perfect for me. I take one tablet daily."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "Took it for a severe seasonal allergy attack about 9:30 this morning. It knocked out the allergies but knocked me out also. It’s 3:55 and I just woke up but my head is foggy, body is wobbly, and I can hear the blood pulsing through my head. Probably about to go back to sleep, staying awake is taking too much effort. Too strong for me. Husband takes it regularly with no side effects."

Loratadine / pseudoephedrine for Allergic Rhinitis "Very effective at eliminating allergies, but will keep you awake all night long. I took the 24-hour one in the early morning, 7:30 am, and laid in bed for 5 hours before I could fall asleep."

For Nasal Congestion "OMG, I went to the doctor ($75 copay) and then was prescribed this OTC legal “drug.” I tried to go to work, and it felt like I was on something illegal. The pseudoephedrine ingredient caused me to hallucinate, couldn’t focus at all, and I had the worst anxiety ever. I tried to rest, and I had horrible racing thoughts and really strange negative thoughts too. It was awful. I don't think it helped my runny nose and “allergies.” It just made me feel mentally unwell. The side effect was far worse than it helping. I wouldn’t take this again if you paid me!"
