For Underactive Thyroid "Walmart switched my levothyroxine to Euthyrox. The first day, I had a headache almost at migraine level. Within two weeks, my hair was falling out, insomnia every night. I have been on levothyroxine for 12 years with no issues. Do not take this medication."

For Underactive Thyroid "Please don't take Euthyrox if you are switching from Levothyroxine, after taking for a month. My hair were falling like crazy, loose stool and lot more side effects. Please think twice before taking Euthyrox."

For Underactive Thyroid "My pharmacy changed me to this brand after being on levothyroxine. My hair has been falling out, weight gain, brittle nails, and more side effects. This does not work for your thyroid. Had my TSH done in March, and it was pretty close to the normal range. After that, the pharmacy changed my levothyroxine to this one. My TSH is low, and this is why I am having the issues. I am upset that the pharmacy can just change things without checking with you first. Don't take this brand of medication."

For Hashimoto's disease "This drug is causing all kinds of awful issues. My hair is falling out, I'm completely exhausted, want to sleep all day/night, can't think straight, can't make it through my work day, loose stools, headaches, cold. Increased heart palpitations. I feel exactly as I did when I wasn't taking anything."

For Hashimoto's disease "This drug has many side effects that I am experiencing: labored breathing, hair loss, blurred vision, fatigue, chest pain, heart skipping beats, nausea, and insomnia. I was taking a little oblong yellow levothyroxine that worked great, but the drug store changed companies, and this pill is round and white."

For Hashimoto's disease "Started this Euthyrox about a month ago after Walmart switched me to it. Since then, I’m having daily headaches, sometimes migraines, more hair loss, and fatigue. Called Walmart, and they switched me back to my previous manufacturer with no problem. This brand didn’t work for me."

For Underactive Thyroid "I also had a terrible experience with this drug, my hair has been falling out so badly and also feeling lethargic and not sleeping. I went to Walmart, and they changed me back to Levothyroxine and were great about it. I was on the Euthyrox for months before I figured out what was happening."

For Underactive Thyroid "Was a terrible experience dispensed by Walmart. This form of a generic of a generic is the worst. My hair was falling to the point that I was afraid to even brush my hair. Then there were the terrible skin issues that itched something terrible. It was on my face and lower front of my legs. Tried everything to try and clear it up, but nothing worked."

For Hashimoto's disease "Do not take it! I was switched from Levo when I moved states. I was miserable for the 2 months I was taking Euthyrox. I had extreme exhaustion, I would take the meds in the AM and be back in bed for hours after. I would get exhausted doing laundry. More exhaustion than when I was pregnant. Extreme depression, and my hair was falling out. Also, the weight gain. I found this website, and it made me not feel crazy, but it was, in fact, the medication. My family doctor told me my numbers are in range, that it couldn’t possibly be the medication causing all this, and that I needed a “happy pill.” This is as I’m crying in his office, begging for something different. He then agreed to put me on Synthroid. It was more expensive, but it is what it is. He had told me my mono came back… Listen here, 2 days being on Synthroid and I got my life back! 2 weeks on, and I was running around Disney not needing a nap! Do not take this crap!"

For Underactive Thyroid "Walmart switched me from Levo to Euthyrox. I trusted that the medications were the same..... THEY ARE NOT!! I've been suffering for almost a year on this Euthyrox garbage. I've been sick, hair falling out, joint pains, migraines, diarrhea, fatigue, depression, heart palpitations, etc. TSH skyrocketed. I just got my new script and noticed it was Levo again..... after 5 days on it, I feel like a new person! Euthyrox is garbage! And I didn't connect the dots at all. I will NEVER take this AGAIN! I've been suffering for a year! Take this OFF THE MARKET!!!"

For Hypothyroidism, After Thyroid Removal "I have taken levothyroxine for 38 years with no issues. Lately, I have been having severe anxiety, body aches, and my hair was falling out. All of these things could be from other issues, and I didn't connect the dots. I was refilling my med pack, and a light went off. The last time I had my prescription refilled, Walmart filled it with Euthyrox. I went online and started reading the reviews and side effects. I have experienced nearly all of them! I have been testing for food and detergent allergies, as I have had lip and mouth swelling, hives, itching. I called my old pharmacy and am going to pick up my old med. Do not use this! I am just hoping that things will get back to normal."

For Underactive Thyroid "After taking levothyroxine from Alvogen for 15 years and Synthroid prior to that, all with perfectly normal thyroid levels, Walmart switched my prescription to Euthyrox in late June. After a short time, I began to feel as I did when first diagnosed with hypothyroidism many years prior: rapid/irregular heartbeat, hair loss, insomnia, extreme fatigue, and new side effects such as difficulty swallowing, under-eye swelling, tightness in the chest, and nervousness/irritability. I called my doctor when Walmart again tried to give me a refill of Euthyrox. The doctor called in my original meds, and the cost went from $9 for 90 days of the levothyroxine to $288 now!!! I'm changing to a new pharmacy. I'm going back to 75 mcg of the Alvogen levothyroxine!"

For Hypothyroidism, After Thyroid Removal "I have used Levothyroxine for 30 years. I was first on Synthroid, but had to switch due to cost. Then I was on generic levothyroxine 125 mcg. Five years ago, I was lowered to 100 mcg, everything was still fine. Three months ago, Walmart filled my prescription with Euthyrox. I have taken this for 2 1/2 months. I feel horrible, I already have heart issues, R.A. Now I have no energy, my hair is falling out, I am gaining weight, all the stuff I used to have. Also, my blood work shows my thyroid is low. How could Walmart just up and give me this crap drug? Doctors need to make a stand for the patients. If they don’t give me what I had, I’m done with Walmart."

For Underactive Thyroid "Wal-Mart switched my medicine to Euthyrox and told me the manufacturer changed because my current levothyroxine absorbs moisture. Within a week of taking Euthyrox, I had a rash on my legs. Two weeks in, a horrible rash appeared on my hands and feet. My body itched on my trunk, front and back, continuously. By the third week, most of my hair had fallen out, and I experienced tiredness and pain in my hips. After taking Euthyrox for 27 days, I had Wal-Mart switch me back to my old medication. It's been 6 weeks since I switched. The tiredness and hip pain are gone. The rash on my leg is mostly gone. The horrible hand and feet condition remains. My primary doctor gave me cream for eczema. The dermatologist has given me two different creams for eczema or psoriasis. My hands were dry, scaly, very red, and flaky. My hands itch and hurt at the same time. They appeared like burnt hands. My feet have very hard and dry patches. I am praying for some answers. How long will this problem last before it clears up? Has anyone else had this rash?"
