For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Glad to know I’m not the only one still experiencing spotting. I’ve had like low to heavy spotting for over 8 months now. My ex said the area of me stunk, but we were fighting bad and breaking up. I have a very poor sense of smell but don’t notice an odor, but his comment made me extremely self-conscious. I’ve never had anyone else say I had an odor. I’m going to call my gyno immediately on Monday. After reading comments, I realized side effects are pretty bad. Got weekly acne like I used to get just once a month with my cycle, which used to be like clockwork. Now I bleed heavy one day, brown spotting another day, then no bleeding... no rhyme or reason to it."

For Emergency Contraception "I wanted to share my experience because I really struggled to find someone who had taken two Plan B tablets in 1 month. No one I know in real life or online. Hopefully, this will help someone. July 31st to August 4th, I had my regular period. August 14th, I believed that the condom we used had slipped, so I took a Plan B the next day. 12 days later, I had spotting for 3 days straight. August 31st, I had a condom break and took a Plan B that day. I was freaking out. 2 Plan B's in two weeks. I didn’t know what it was gonna do to my body. I took many pregnancy tests from 2 weeks from the incident onwards. I missed my period for the month of September and didn’t get my period until October 10th."

For Birth Control "I never write any reviews. I feel like I have to after 2 years of using Kyleena. The side effects are way too much for anyone to handle the pain. In the past, I have had gallstones, 17-hour labor, a 10-pound baby, and never had this much pain in my life. Also, the bleeding was out of control and spotting all month. No sex drive, depressed, an overwhelming sadness like life is not worth living, weight gain, acne, anger, thought I was pregnant, vomiting, breasts hurting, truly unstable. The doctors wanted to put me on antidepressants - no way! I should be happy: new wed, new home, new car. WHY DO I FEEL LIKE THIS??? I decided to remove Kyleena and put in a copper IUD. OMG, now life is great, periods are normal again, having amazing sex, no issues, feeling happy, feeling amazing. Everyone told me it was stress, and in my mind, NOPE... IT WAS MY KYLEENA IUD... no more hormone IUD ever again. Be careful, ladies."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "At 51, I have uterine fibroids and was experiencing super heavy bleeding for months at a time. My doctor recommended Mirena and I unenthusiastically agreed to it because my other choice was a hysterectomy. When younger, I had a terrible experience with the pill (made me really depressed, which otherwise I am not). I had Mirena inserted 4 months ago and love it. I put on a bit of weight at the beginning, which I have mostly lost already. The heavy bleeding is gone. I still wear a pad because I spot once in a while, but before I was using Depend because the bleeding was SO HEAVY. My mood is okay, no depression or any similar symptoms. No acne. Insertion is painful but quick. The discomfort goes away immediately. So far, Mirena is okay for me."

For Emergency Contraception "On the 16.10.2020, I had unprotected sex with a friend of mine (stupid, I know). Anyway, I took Plan B 24 hours later, due to being too scared to talk about it. I experienced spotting 5 days after taking it (14th day of my cycle). I knew it wasn't implantation bleeding, but I also knew that it was not my period. The days passed, and I waited for my actual period. I was so freaked out because I googled so much. While I waited for my period, I felt like a zombie. On the 35th day of my cycle, I took a pregnancy test, which came out negative. I took the second one on the 38th day (my period was already 9 days late at that time). It too was negative, but I worried so much. In the end, my period came 15 DAYS LATE! Don't freak out, ladies. Keep calm, breathe, talk to someone. It's gonna be alright, everything will be okay ♡♡♡"

For Emergency Contraception "Ok, so just like all of you, I took Plan B. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex a day after I finished my period. Not sure if he came in me or not, I IMMEDIATELY went to Walgreens to buy Plan B. The waiting game was hard. I spotted a week after taking Plan B, and my actual period was 3 days late. Here I am, sitting here typing this with such great relief. Guys, I thought I was pregnant. I had ALL these terrible symptoms and signs of pregnancy, but guess what? PLAN B DOES WORK. DO NOT BE PARANOID, JUST GIVE IT SOME TIME. YOU WILL BE OK, I PROMISE. I hope this gives you guys relief and peace of mind. I felt like a zombie for almost a month because I was terrified. IT DOES WORK. Sending good vibes to whomever may need it. P.S. Don't think the worst."

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex on the last day of my period, then I took Plan B 11 hours after I had sex. A week after taking the pill I experienced brown discharge, which was heavy like a regular period the first 2 days, then turned into spotting for the next 3 days. My regular period usually lasts 5 days, so I figured the pill just made me have a fake period to trick my body into getting rid of the egg before it got fertilized. I have a period app on my iPhone that tells me when my period is going to come and tells me how many days I have between cycles, for me, it's 28 days. So, I counted 28 days from my last day of brown discharge, and the date my period should have come was the 29th of October, and it did!! I hope this helps someone out there!"

For Emergency Contraception "I completely know how stressful the situation is that you are in, and I promised I would post something if it worked for me. I had unprotected sex on the 16th of January, 3 days after the end of my period. We were only unprotected for a short amount of time, and he never ejaculated. I was totally confident that I was in the clear until I Googled when I got home. I freaked out when I read about precum possibly causing pregnancy. The next day, I ran to Rite Aid about 19 hours after the event and got Plan B. About 5 days after, I experienced spotting and cramps. Unfortunately, I decided I should Google it (DON'T), and I totally freaked out because I thought I was implementation spotting. It is now February 4th, and my period just showed up yesterday! Don't stress, ladies! You will only delay your period further. Remember to pray and remember that God has your future, and you will be okay! I know I will never be making this mistake again. MAKE THIS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE!"

For Emergency Contraception "Calm down. I know you’re panicking. Take the pregnancy test if you’re late, take 5 if you want. If they all come back the same, trust it. My period was almost a month late: 3 weeks and 5 days. Stress and the hormonal imbalance from the pill WILL DELAY YOUR PERIOD. Do not freak out, stop googling everything. It’s okay if you spotted a week after taking a pill, it’s normal to spot more than once, and it’s normal to feel cramps at random times. I felt cramps 4 days before having my period, and I usually feel them a day before having my period. Take the pregnancy test. Find an online gynecologist and tell them if you feel symptoms of anything, but it is most likely Plan B if your pregnancy test comes back negative. It affects women differently, but discharge is also normal. Take it easy, honey, find some birth control if you can’t afford the mistake. I can’t, and I learned my lesson. Pray and relax, you’re fine."

For Birth Control "I have had the Mirena for about a month. The insertion was easy, and it took my very experienced OB about 5 minutes. It honestly felt like a pap smear. I also have 3 kids and a retroverted uterus for what it's worth. Unfortunately, I have had spotting every day since. I hope it stops soon because I have no other side effects. No weight gain, acne, etc., and my sex drive has actually increased (weird, right?). So if you are considering having a Mirena inserted, my advice is to try it and see how it works with YOUR body. Yes, you can read the horror stories on this site and others. People are much more inclined to share a negative experience than a positive one. Talk to your doctor and look at actual peer-reviewed studies."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got the Mirena after my first baby. I didn’t think it was awful to have inserted, but it was a little achy and felt pressure for a few weeks after. But then I loved it and loved not having periods. No problems for 3 years, and then I started having vaginal itching and a smell down there like mashed potatoes. I also had brown spotting that didn’t seem to want to stop. The doctor gave me a pack of birth control pills and told me to take 4 at once, it made me nauseous as anything, but it stopped the bleeding. After the second baby, I got the Mirena again, and now at 2 years on the second Mirena, I’m starting to have vaginal itching again with a sour vaginal smell. I’m also having thick flesh-colored discharge coming out in clumps. I actually think it’s the mucous membranes from my uterus lining coming out without blood, if that’s even possible. I’ve noticed having leg cramps too. All in all, I love Mirena and have no regrets and will continue to use it until either my husband or I get fixed."

For Emergency Contraception "This pill works! Trust it. I took it 34 hours after a condom slip. I experienced tiredness, bloating and minor abdominal discomfort, not so much as pain. I started spotting, then it completely stopped for two days, but nonetheless, my period came! Three days earlier than I expected and a lot heavier than normal, but it came! Trust this pill, it is a miracle worker. Take the pill within the 72-hour time frame, relax, and hope for the best! $55 is nothing compared to the cost of getting pregnant! Best of luck, ladies!"

For Emergency Contraception "It worked for me. My experience is kinda different, so I want to share... my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on December 16th (2 days after I ended my period). I was supposed to start ovulating in two days after we did it. I didn’t take Plan B until 48 hours (the day I was supposed to start ovulating)... there weren’t immediate side effects, but I spotted a lot of brown stuff for five long days, which was a week after taking the pill. I took 8 pregnancy tests and totally stressed myself out the entire time. I’m only 18 and I don’t know what I would have done. My period was due to come January 8, and it never came... 16 days after my missed period, it finally came. The first few weeks are the worst because you will psych yourself out. If you took this pill before your prime day of ovulation, it will most likely work for you!!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took it just to be sure almost 40 hours after the incident. I did not get pregnant. That said, this was the first time I used any type of oral contraceptive EVER. So I had horrible side effects. Probably not because of the medicine as such but may be because of the high dosage of it. A day after, I was completely exhausted and had spotting a week later. That week was terrible. I had gastric trouble, acidity, bloating, sort of menstrual cramps, pretty much all the symptoms of pregnancy. Turns out these were the side effects for the medication as my body was not used to sudden hormonal changes. So I sincerely suggest just using protection and being on a regular pill. Be cautious if you have never used any type of contraceptive."

For Birth Control "First of all, the insertion procedure with Skyla was excruciating for me. I had severe cramping, worse than anything I've ever experienced, and they held me for observation for almost an hour because I was extremely lightheaded. I had 1 week of severe cramping and was bedridden. An ultrasound confirmed that the IUD was correctly positioned. I've had mild-moderate cramping and spotting almost every day since then, no sex drive, and gained 15 pounds in 3.5 months despite dieting and working out 6X/week (P90X). I am only 5'3", so 15 lbs is a lot on my frame. Dieting has not helped. My blood pressure has gone up, I'm bloated all the time, and have developed some facial hair. I have decided to have the IUD removed because I'd rather be pregnant than feel like this all the time."

For Emergency Contraception "I have officially never been so stressed out in my life. I took Plan B within 10 hours of unprotected sex. A couple of days went by and I felt nothing. On the 5th day, I had really weird cramps on my right side under my hip bone which lasted for about 3 days. Then I got really weird brown discharge. Then I started spotting a little bit. On the 10th day, I felt so nauseated they had to send me home from work. I ended up throwing up and then got my period 30 minutes later. Needless to say, the pill did work, but I hope to never have to take it again."

For Birth Control "Mirena gave me my life back. Ever since I hit puberty at 11 years old, I have had horrible, very heavy, very painful periods. Around 18, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I would miss school and work, and have to double layer my clothes when I slept, it was horrible. I tried every birth control out there including Seasonique, the NuvaRing, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Depo-Provera, Loestrin, Lybrel, if you name it, I've tried it. Nothing worked. I started having periods that would last for 2-3 weeks. Finally, I tried Mirena, having it put in was painful but bearable. The first 6 weeks I had cramps and spotting. After that, nothing. I get a very light 2-3 day period now and then. No cramps. It's amazing and gave me my life back. I'm so thankful for it!"

For Emergency Contraception "Ladies, trust the pill, it works! Okay, so I’m not on regular birth control and had unprotected sex 2 days before ovulation. The guy finished inside me, and so I took a Plan B about 4 hours afterward. Initially, I had no symptoms, but 6 days after taking the pill, I bled a little, and it was like a pinkish/brown color that only lasted like a few hours with mild cramping. I started freaking out thinking this was implantation bleeding, luckily, it wasn’t. Fast forward a week later, my boobs began to feel really tender. Once again, I thought this was a pregnancy symptom, but I started spotting that same day. Then guess what happens the next day? My period came on 3 days early!! So please don’t stress out, I promise it works. This was also my first time taking it. I didn’t really have any side effects other than spotting, I broke out a lot on my cheeks, and my mood swings were pretty bad in the beginning. But yes, ladies, please stay off Google and don’t stress or it’s just gonna make things worse. Good luck!!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had my first Mirena in January 2004 after my second child. I kept it for 7 years. My second was put in in 2011. I kept it until 2019. Now, I'm on my third. I can say it was effective even after 5 years. I also only spotted on insertion and then had no period. Until this one, I have had a regular monthly cycle for over a year now. Now, it is usually just lots of spotting for 3 to 5 days, but enough that I wear a panty liner out of precaution. Now, I just passed a huge bloody clot. I have never had that in the 16 years I have used Mirena. Also, insertion wasn't bad the first two times, but the last time, it took 3 tries, and then they called another doctor in to do it. Turns out they may have pushed it through a fibroid. Ouch."

For Emergency Contraception "Okay, I had unprotected sex on May 9, a day after my period. So I took Plan B since my boyfriend came in me. I was having spotting for a week. I was scared as anything, no lie. I was supposed to get my period on June 4, and it never came until today, June 19. I was 16 days late. Yo, I was cramping, bloated, craving foods, eating more, going to the bathroom more than usual, and sleeping so much. I was like, damn, I’m pregnant. But I took two tests last week, both were negative. Talked to my doctor, he said the Plan B can make your period late. You can miss a whole month. But if your period doesn’t come the next month, then you might be pregnant. I was freaking out for 2 weeks. I was crying and everything because I’m not ready to have a baby, neither is my boyfriend. I recommend just taking a test and talking to a doctor. The Plan B works, just give it time. Don’t freak out. Your period is coming, but next time get on some regular birth control, be sexual with someone with a strong pull-out, and use condoms."

For Birth Control "I was on the pill for 2 years and LOVED IT. I never ever missed a pill but decided, why not try the IUD since it’ll be stress-free. The worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life, I seriously almost cried, followed by a whole day of bad cramps. The doctor made it clear that irregular bleeding and spotting is very common up to at least 3-6 months. It’s been 9 months now, and this was my biggest regret. Some months I get spotting and discharge for weeks straight. The past few months I’ve had 2 periods in one month. My MAIN complaint is that if I’m not bleeding, I’m spotting or discharging, I rarely get a break. I was thinking about waiting until the one-year mark since I’ve heard so many rave about the IUD, but... don’t think my patience can take any longer. Having to wear a pantyliner every single day for nearly a year is awful. I miss my pills :("

For Emergency Contraception "I took this pill within two hours of unprotected sex. Almost exactly 12 hours after taking it, I woke up to terrible cramping in my abdomen. That whole day I had the worst nausea of my life, including vomiting and diarrhea throughout the day. I couldn’t keep any food down. I almost passed out later that night, likely because my blood sugar was so low from not eating all day. I had some spotting about a week later, which was about when my period was supposed to come. However, I have not had a period since. It’s been about two months. I’ve taken pregnancy tests, and they have come back negative. For the last few weeks, I have gotten cramps and some breast tenderness and irrationality that is usually associated with my period, but still no period. Planning to head to the doctor soon. Don’t recommend this pill."

For Emergency Contraception "This pill seriously works. If you were in the same position as me, you're sitting on this website reading the reviews and hoping the pill is working. My boyfriend and I had sex on the 12th when the condom broke. He was able to buy the pill on the 14th, some 50 hours after. I took it ASAP. I was very tired and felt nauseous and dizzy every so often after I took it. I started spotting on the 19th and now it's the 20th, and I just woke up with my period. The 50 dollars spent on buying the pill is much better than risking having a baby."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B works, but it will screw with your mind. These user reviews kept me from going absolutely insane. Had sex on 8/13, almost positive I had ovulated that day-dumb, I know. My boyfriend is good at controlling himself and pulling out, but this time he made a mess with the cum after getting out. Took Plan B 4 hrs after and was nauseous with minor headaches, then exactly 1 week later (8/20) literally ALL the pregnancy symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks-spotting, cramps, mood swings, lower back pain, fatigue, nausea, headaches, food aversions/cravings, sore breasts, elevated temperature, etc. The spotting went away, but the other stuff went on 'til 8/27, the day my period was due. I about lost my mind of anxiety, but 8/28 I got a negative result on a pregnancy test and my period later in the day. The meds work, just don’t let the side effects get to you-they’re still better than getting pregnant. Stay off Google, read the reviews here and relax. Better yet, have safe sex."
