For Insomnia "My regular sleep med is Ambien. Hoping to find a better aid, my PCP sampled me Dayvigo. Sleep came in about 20 mins, along with very vivid, almost lucid dreams. Some very erotic. No good sleep after 2 hrs. Other than the very sexy, vivid dreams, this drug was worthless for me."

For Insomnia "Took 5 mg for 4 nights and did not sleep. I was made incredibly restless and kept violently tossing and turning in bed. It stressed me out so bad I developed back pain. The few moments my body has been exhausted enough to lose consciousness, I got much worse, much more vivid nightmares than usual and had to fight and literally slap myself in the face to wake up. I seem to have been grinding my teeth as well, which I've never done before. I'm stressed, exhausted, and annoyed. Never again."

For Insomnia "HORRIBLE DRUG. I don't know how Dayvigo was approved. I have sleep insomnia and was taking zopiclone 7.5 mg. My body got used to it and started to be less effective. My doctor prescribed Dayvigo 10 mg to replace it. I tried it one night, and it was the worst night I had in my life. I felt totally wrong, my heart was racing, all my body sensations were wrong. I felt I was in a horrible nightmare. I don't have enough words to describe the horrible experience that I suffered. I am writing this review hoping that I can help other people avoid such a horrific experience. I drank lots of water to get rid of it from my body. I am rating it 1 because there is no 0 or negative rating."

For Insomnia "My dr gave me some samples of this to try and sleep better. I had mirtazapine but didn't like it. I would be a zombie the entire next day, and I have a prescription for clonazepam but don’t want to get addicted, so I’d take it maybe 1-3x per month to help sleep, and I would always have the best quality sleep ever. So my doc gave me Dayvigo to try, and I’ve taken it 5x total, and I must say I love it. I seem to sleep very, very well and get up to use the washroom maybe 1-2x, and when I wake up to go, I’m like a zombie and instantly back to sleep, and the next day I feel great, no issues. The vivid nightmares/dreams I actually enjoy, to be honest, so no complaints there. I actually look forward to the wild, crazy dreams I experience on this medication. Now that the samples are gone, I just asked my pharmacist to fill a one-month supply."

For Insomnia "I suffer from treatment-resistant depression and sleep problems. I have been taking zopiclone as needed for years, but my doctors aren’t keen on it. I was given Dayvigo samples to try. I was told to start on 5 mg each night, which might later be raised to 10 mg. At this point, my depression was under control from ketamine infusion treatment, I’d had a very successful treatment that day, and my mood was good. On the first night on Dayvigo, I didn’t feel it had much effect, and the day after taking that first dose, my mood was slightly lower. On the second night, it wasn’t helping me get to sleep, so after a couple of hours, I tried another tablet (so 2 x 5 mg, for a total of 10 mg). I did fall asleep, but the next morning I woke up feeling so depressed I was almost suicidal. I told my wife I would have to be taken to the hospital. Luckily, my wife suggested it might be caused by Dayvigo. I stopped it that night and felt fine the next day. Be very careful with this drug!"

For Insomnia "10mg for 12 months. It works until it stops working. My doctor had to put me on zopiclone and then back to Dayvigo - since both meds stop working at some point, but if you alternate it is helpful. I think I have the worst insomnia ever though. It has been an issue for 20+ years."

For Insomnia "I’ve experienced insomnia intermittently in my adult life and tried zolpidem and trazodone, which both left me feeling drowsy and foggy the following day. I will admit to being hesitant to try Dayvigo, but I have had a fantastic experience. I take 5 mg when I go to bed, and it feels like I fall asleep naturally. I may still wake up a couple of times in the night sometimes, but fall back to sleep easily. In the morning, I wake feeling refreshed. Initially, I took Dayvigo intermittently, but now take it on a regular basis, and over time I continually feel more and more rested; likely because I am sleeping well more consistently. Overall, I am feeling so much better, more functional, and very glad I gave Dayvigo a try!!"

For Insomnia "This is the first medication that actually did what it says without making you feel bad the next day. Even though I only get a few hours of sleep, that little bit makes me feel like a new person. I highly recommend really reading the info that comes with it. I was a little afraid of the “sleep paralysis,” but I learned I could pull myself out of it if I wanted to. Also, the medication works better or stronger on an empty stomach. So, now that I have learned the ins and outs of taking it, I get comfy and just enjoy it because I know I will go to sleep. So far, no nightmares, and I hope I don’t start that. I am on 5 mg. It makes me feel awesome when I wake up. I was able to find an online coupon that makes it only $30 a month."

For Insomnia "One 5 mg pill, and that's it. Never again. I have a traumatic brain injury, but I didn't see anyone else who had a bad reaction to Dayvigo say that he had a TBI. I could have put up with a night with light to no sleep, but dang, twenty-four hours later, I'm still hungover from that one pill. I didn't have any of the dramatically bad responses to the drug that others have had, but this is bad enough. Now, I have to try to get to sleep with a limited amount of alprazolam (Xanax) left to me. The medical establishment is making a typical, terribly stupid mistake again, this time, in its shunning of benzodiazepines. Doctors get on a kick about something every few years, and millions of people suffer terribly as a result. Thank God, there is beginning to be some fight back by doctors against The New Truth: benzodiazepines are horrible! Except, of course, they're not, not for many, many people. They must always be used carefully, but some people absolutely must have them."

For Insomnia "Excellent sleeping pill for me. Without a sleep aid, it takes me a while to fall asleep, but I can do so naturally. BUT: I wake up at 2 am and am then wide awake. I used to sleep like a baby. Then came peri- and menopause. I was taking Belsomra 20 mg. That worked okay, I fell asleep quickly, but often I still woke up in the early hours and sometimes could not get back to sleep. I found out about Dayvigo through my own research. It worked immediately. I took 5 mg last night at 9:30 pm. Slept soon after and stayed asleep until 6:30 am. I woke a few times, could go to the bathroom, and easily fall asleep again. (Tonight I’ll try halving the pill to see if a smaller dosage has as good an effect.) No crazy dreams, no sleep paralysis. None of the known possible side effects as described in the literature about this drug. This drug works for me. It may not be good for you. That’s all there is to it. Good luck. Insomnia is a nightmare! Female. Healthy and slim."

For Insomnia "I only recently started experiencing insomnia from a concussion. I took Trazodone for 2 weeks prior to Dayvigo, and that was awful. Then my doctor recommended Dayvigo (5 mg), and it’s been a godsend. I’m on day 8 currently, and the first 2 days were just odd. The first night I took it on a full stomach (don’t do that), and it took a while to kick in, but once it did, I was asleep quickly. I woke up briefly in a weird dream-like state, then fell back asleep, but still, the best sleep I’ve had in weeks. The second night, I took it on an empty stomach, and I fell asleep instantly, but I did wake up briefly around 5 am, uh, a bit “aroused,” then fell back asleep, but haven’t had either of these since. I can sleep the minimum of 7 hours and feel like I actually slept. Highly recommend, it doesn’t feel highly sedative and doesn’t make me feel groggy the next day."

For Insomnia "Helps with sleep, but after the first couple of weeks, I found that it lasts only about 3 hours. Therefore, I take half on falling asleep, and the other half late in the night. Coincident with starting the Dayvigo, I've had severe nausea and vertigo on and off during the day. I don't know if it's related to the Dayvigo, or due to something else. Has anyone else experienced nausea and/or vertigo during the day? Unfortunately, I've become dependent on Dayvigo, and so stopping it to check will be difficult."

For Insomnia "Caused complete paralysis, including vocal cords, along with terrifying hallucinations every single time I took it. The Orexin sleeping medicines shouldn't be on the market. I've never been so scared in my life, and I don't get scared easily at all. The hallucinations are always terrifying, never neutral or in a non-terrifying manner. I just tried Quviq, and the exact same thing happened, you can't even yell because your vocal cords are paralyzed along with every muscle in your body. In 40 years' worth of insomnia treatments, I have never had such severe side effects, not even something 5% as bad. Be prepared for these side effects because they're common. Once it happens, it will scare you so bad you will never even think about taking it again. Not sure why it's called sleep paralysis because when it happens, you are wide awake and unable to fall asleep. Insomniacs need meds that work, not scare them to death."

For Insomnia "I tried Dayvigo for the first time last night. My Dr. prescribed me 5 mg but told me that I could take 2 if needed. I took the first one and I was still wide awake 3 hours later, so I took the 2nd one. I will never touch those pills again! I had very vivid nightmares all night, but I was awake enough to know I was dreaming. I was terrified and felt like I was tripping. I also got the chills, but then sweating at the same time. I'm exhausted this morning, headache, and my anxiety is high. I've been on Ambien and Lunesta, and never have I been terrified like I was with Dayvigo. I feel like I paid $310 to be tortured all night."

For Insomnia "I've been using 2.5 mg of Dayvigo nightly, and it works great. Doesn't make you feel drugged but allows you to sleep well. I'm taking a low dose, but I have not had any side effects besides some morning grogginess. The standard dose is 5 or 10 mg, but some reviewers stated they found the best dosage at 2.5 mg, so I tried that as a start, and it works awesome. Takes about 1 hour to fully work."

For Insomnia "I've had insomnia for 20+ years. Root cause: childhood maltreatment (biological mechanism = stress). I managed it with z-drugs for a long time, with things like pregabalin thrown in to deepen my sleep. But this approach was hit and miss - not really as reliable as I would have liked. Plus, I think that things that work on GABA disrupt sleep architecture and don't really give you good quality sleep. Recently tried the dual orexin receptor antagonist (DORA) Dayvigo (lemborexant). It works for me. I did have crazy dreams at first, and still dream quite a bit on it, but less than in the beginning. I am still playing with the dosage. The only problem for me with this drug is that if I take too much, I have next-day somnolence (I can feel the drug still working for 4 or 5 hours the next day). Anyway, I think DORAs have promise. I'm waiting for Quviviq (daridorexant) to be approved here in Canada because it has a shorter half-life. I care about you all. We all deserve to be happy."

For Insomnia "Ok, so I took this for 1 night, and within 20 minutes, I went into a “trance,” and my wife’s voice felt like it was coming from across the street, even as I was right next to her in bed. Then I had more and more difficulty breathing, and my whole body became paralyzed for what seemed like hours, but was only a few minutes. I then passed in and out of this coma-like state of sleep. This is the worst effect I’ve ever had on any medication, and I’m only 29, with no health problems except insomnia. I am never touching this again, back to Lunesta or Restoril."

For Insomnia "I have insomnia for 15 years, for the last 3 years taking Trazodone, which I don't like taking, so the doctor offered a new drug, Dayvigo. I am tapering off Trazodone, started Dayvigo, first night great sleep, but then went downhill fast. Here are some side effects: nausea that does not go away, loss of appetite, feeling sleepy all day but can’t sleep, feeling tired and weak, burning in my gut, head feels blown up, walking unsteady, sleep is awful (I call it sleeping awake), feeling of not caring. After 2 weeks of this, I quit taking Dayvigo. This drug gave me hope but never lasted."

For Insomnia "I have suffered from chronic insomnia for over 20 years. I have been on almost every prescription available. However, Ambien and Restoril have been the only medications that have worked. Unfortunately, after years of being on either medication, the dosage had to increase to the point I would have to try something else. I was given a sample of Dayvigo 5 mg. I took it as prescribed, and it took over an hour before I started to feel it taking effect, which was immediate sleep paralysis. It felt like I was being physically restrained. I struggled to fight it, to scream for help, to move my body, and couldn't. It was the worst, most horrific night I have ever had. I have had Ambien-induced hallucinations, but those were never as terrifying as what I experienced on Dayvigo. And to top it off, the next day after Dayvigo, I felt like a zombie, unable to do anything for myself. My blood pressure has always been low, after taking Dayvigo, it felt like my heart was barely beating."

For Insomnia "I have taken Dayvigo for 11 nights now, trying to see if my body will adjust. The sleep doctor who prescribed it wanted me to try combining clonazepam and Dayvigo to stop what I would refer to as 'brain buzzing.' I did this for 5 days - no change and thought - hm...now I'm taking two drugs. I stopped the clonazepam, and the buzzing is getting worse rather than better. I am anxious, somewhat depressed, nervous, tearful, and I am very lethargic. I have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, even though I do get at least 6 hours of sleep. My thoughts are racing when I wake up, and I have disturbing dreams often. When I wake, I think I need to take clonazepam to calm my brain down. I feel that my depression is worsening. I would rate this medication as a negative number out of ten. It is not tolerable for me."

For Insomnia "Dayvigo is the 1st medicine that both helps me fall asleep and stay asleep! If I do wake up to go to the bathroom, I fall back asleep. I have slept 9 hours and taken a 3 hr nap when really sleep deprived on it. I used to sleep about 4 hours and now sleep about 8 to 9 hours. I sleep less at times, but always feel refreshed. I never feel groggy."

For Insomnia "I tried everything before my psychiatrist put me on Dayvigo. I tried Trazodone, Seroquel, all of it. Dayvigo is different. It allows me to fall asleep within 30 minutes to an hour. I get tired, not drugged. I fall asleep and wake up feeling like I actually slept. No side effects other than some grogginess in the morning. That is to be expected. It's definitely worth taking Dayvigo. Get the coupon card on their website. 10 bucks a month. (Thank goodness.)"
