For Insomnia "I have never been able to just lay down and sleep. As a child, I hated going to bed because of that. I have tried everything - Ambien, flurazepam, every holistic sleep aid, with little or no help. Even if I eventually fall asleep, I don't stay asleep. My doctor gave me the Dayvigo 5mg sample box, advising I take one to begin, which I did. I slept like a baby. I woke up seven hours later to go to the bathroom and went back to bed, sleeping another 3 hours. I was so sleep-deprived. I feel a little groggy from sleeping so much and am glad I didn't take two of the 5mg. I am beyond happy to find something that works for me."

For Insomnia "I have severe insomnia and have had no luck with Ambien, Lunesta, trazodone, and others. None of them worked. Dayvigo did. I have finally gotten sleep. No side effects. The first day I was a little groggy, but that went away the next day. I do wake up a few times in the night to go pee, but I fall back to sleep quickly, which has NEVER happened for me. I hope this works for other people too. Oh, I take the 10 mg pill."

For Insomnia "I have taken this medication for the past four nights, as I have not been able to sleep for more than three hours a night in the past year. Unfortunately for me, this medication did not improve my situation at all. I felt really drowsy within 30 minutes of taking it and fell asleep quickly, but I woke up 1 hour later and still only slept a total of three hours. This medication was really useless for me."

For Insomnia "After taking Dayvigo, I wake up with a headache, and I'm groggy till about 1. I never did that with Ambien. I stopped taking Ambien because I was having memory loss, so my doctor loves this sleeping pill better than any, because he says it affects a different part of the brain. I’ve only taken it three times. The best dose is seven and a half milligrams. I can’t deal with being groggy that long or headache, but I’m going to stay on and see if I get used to it. Hoping it will be okay!"

For Insomnia "I have tried literally everything on the market for insomnia. Was using Quetiapine, but I get next-day grogginess a lot. My Dr. had some samples of Dayvigo and said it would be a more 'natural' sleep and not knock me out. I am very tolerant of almost anything with a sedative effect. It took a while to kick in, but it was the most horrible 'sleep' I've ever had. I had horrible, vivid nightmares, and when I woke up, I felt so drugged. I woke up so much during the night, but was so groggy I couldn't actually get up. It made me restless, and I don't ever snore, but my husband had to leave because I was snoring so loud, and he said I was sitting up and talking to him, but I was obviously asleep. I will NEVER take this again. Throwing them in the trash."

For Insomnia "Finally, something that works for me :’) !!!! I have tried about 8 different prescriptions in the last 3 years for parasomnia sleep disorder. Most have either not kept me asleep, or I end up feeling hungover, slow, and dumb the following day. I was a little nervous at first trying Dayvigo since it’s new to the market, but it is an absolute godsend. I feel rested, I sleep, I stay asleep, and I can function the next day. I do not feel disoriented on this medication. It is also the most articulate I’ve felt in a very long time, mostly due to the grogginess/cloudiness other sleep medications have caused me. I do not get nightmares from Dayvigo either. It will require a pre-authorization at your pharmacy because it is a very expensive drug. Mine ended up getting covered due to my long history of other sleep medications that did not work. I am shocked at how little side effects I experience on Dayvigo. Please try it !!!"

For Insomnia "I started taking this medication last night. Started with the 5 mg dose, which made me a little drowsy, and I finally went to sleep, but it took a while. I soon woke up but went back to sleep easily. I started with the free ten-day trial prescription. Gonna give it some time and see what happens after the ten days. Maybe it takes time to get into your system."

For Insomnia "My husband has had lifelong insomnia (possibly because of his Asperger's/ADD) that has only worsened into adulthood. Before we found Dayvigo, he was taking a lot of different pills and large quantities of alcohol throughout the night to get to sleep and stay asleep. I DON'T recommend this, I'm only telling the ugly truth so that anyone out there in the same boat can maybe see that there is hope. He has been on Dayvigo for 8 months, and it is the only medication he has ever found that actually gives him a good night's sleep. He no longer needs the other prescriptions or (more importantly) the alcohol, thank goodness. The Dayvigo does cause him some daytime sleepiness (not enough to make driving dangerous), and it does increase his sleep paralysis episodes, but he says it is worth it because insomnia is a living nightmare for him."

For Insomnia "Started using this 2 months ago after years of insomnia. Tried diverse therapies, alternative meds, and prescribed sleeping aids. Nothing helped. Side effects of said prescriptive meds were ghastly. Dayvigo 5mg completely changed my sleeping life. Vivid dreams and a bit groggy in the morning, which espresso soon cures: that is it. Must say that I have a healthy, active lifestyle and a happy marriage and network. Those things, combined with blessed sleep, are heavenly."

For Insomnia "Dayvigo works great. I haven’t slept this well in years, and with COVID lockdown, it just got worse. I tried Lunesta, but I couldn’t take that aftertaste and foggy brain. I tried Belsomra, it didn’t work, but on day one, I fell asleep shortly after taking it, but only 6 hours. Then my doctor went up to 10 mg. I slept for about 7 and a half hours. I was shocked. I didn’t feel groggy the next day. I’m not cranky, and I feel rested."

For Insomnia "I’ve been taking Zopiclone off and on for years as I struggle with falling and staying asleep. I was recently given a trial of Dayvigo, and while it’s not perfect, I definitely feel like I’ve had a more complete night's sleep since I’ve started. I still have a tendency to wake up a few times during the night, but have gone back to sleep quickly and easily. The downsides have been that I feel groggy for about the first hour or so upon waking up, and I have had vivid dreams (not nightmares). It’s fast-acting (feel ready for sleep in about 20-30 minutes). If I do wake up, getting back to sleep is no issue, I haven’t needed to get up if I do wake, and most importantly, I feel like I’ve had a more complete night's sleep in the morning. I’d recommend trying Dayvigo if other meds haven’t worked. It won’t be for everyone, but don’t let the negative reviews scare you."

For Insomnia "I've been taking Dayvigo for a month now. I have weird dreams, headaches, and anxiety. I take it with my trazodone 300 mg. I seem to sleep much better, but it's hard to wake up sometimes. Groggy. I do wake up to pee and go back to sleep pretty well. I do take medicine for anxiety, but lately after taking Dayvigo I feel more anxious. Not sure if I will keep taking it."

For Insomnia "I tried it for a week. The first night I took it around 9:30 pm with good sleep practices. I didn’t sleep at all that night. The next night I tried again and didn’t sleep at all. After that, I was tired and had really bad headaches and felt groggy and confused during the day. These were different from what I get after a regular bad sleep. Days 4, 5, and 6 I started getting very intense bad dreams, sleep paralysis, and my daytime depression got worse. The side effects actually started really affecting me, I’m so glad I’m off it now. Biggest dud I’ve ever tried."

"I have bipolar disorder, which comes along with insomnia, depression, and a whole lot of other fun things. I got diagnosed when I had a “manic” episode where I would not sleep for 2-3 days at a time. After I got out of the hospital, I won’t list all my medications, I was on a 750 mg dose of Seroquel. Of course, over time, this was lowered to the point where I was only taking a 25 mg pill chopped in half (12.5 mg) with a Zopiclone to help. But my doctor switched me to Dayvigo because, in the long run, Seroquel is not good for my heart. The first week was an adjustment, but once my body got used to it, I sleep very well. It takes effect pretty quickly, 30 minutes knocks me out. When I wake up, I don’t feel like I got hit by a bus, like with Seroquel and Zopiclone. Seroquel does a good job of knocking you out but doesn’t always keep you asleep, it's bad for your heart and very drowsy for the first 4 hours after waking up. Dayvigo works quickly, keeps me asleep, and I don’t feel drowsy with side effects the next day."

For Insomnia "I’ve experienced insomnia intermittently in my adult life and tried zolpidem and trazodone, which both left me feeling drowsy and foggy the following day. I will admit to being hesitant to try Dayvigo, but I have had a fantastic experience. I take 5 mg when I go to bed, and it feels like I fall asleep naturally. I may still wake up a couple of times in the night sometimes, but fall back to sleep easily. In the morning, I wake feeling refreshed. Initially, I took Dayvigo intermittently, but now take it on a regular basis, and over time I continually feel more and more rested; likely because I am sleeping well more consistently. Overall, I am feeling so much better, more functional, and very glad I gave Dayvigo a try!!"

For Insomnia "I only recently started experiencing insomnia from a concussion. I took Trazodone for 2 weeks prior to Dayvigo, and that was awful. Then my doctor recommended Dayvigo (5 mg), and it’s been a godsend. I’m on day 8 currently, and the first 2 days were just odd. The first night I took it on a full stomach (don’t do that), and it took a while to kick in, but once it did, I was asleep quickly. I woke up briefly in a weird dream-like state, then fell back asleep, but still, the best sleep I’ve had in weeks. The second night, I took it on an empty stomach, and I fell asleep instantly, but I did wake up briefly around 5 am, uh, a bit “aroused,” then fell back asleep, but haven’t had either of these since. I can sleep the minimum of 7 hours and feel like I actually slept. Highly recommend, it doesn’t feel highly sedative and doesn’t make me feel groggy the next day."

For Insomnia "I've been using 2.5 mg of Dayvigo nightly, and it works great. Doesn't make you feel drugged but allows you to sleep well. I'm taking a low dose, but I have not had any side effects besides some morning grogginess. The standard dose is 5 or 10 mg, but some reviewers stated they found the best dosage at 2.5 mg, so I tried that as a start, and it works awesome. Takes about 1 hour to fully work."

For Insomnia "Genuinely one of the scariest medications I’ve taken in my life. At 5 mg, Dayvigo left me in a terrifying trance, I was unable to move my body but conscious for two terrible hours. At 10 mg, Dayvigo did send me to sleep (only when combined with low-dose trazodone), but with terrible nightmares, next-day drowsiness so severe that I couldn’t drive, and worsening depression. Would rather forgo sleep than take Dayvigo."

For Insomnia "I was feeling desperate for sleep after being awake for 36 hours with zero sleep. I took half of one 5 mg (2.5 mg) (my daughter said it was scary powerful is why) around 10 pm. Got very sleepy within about 20 minutes and went to bed at 11 pm. Woke at 4:30 am (5.5 hrs sleep) feeling totally awake, alert, refreshed, and wanting to take on the day. No brain fog, no drowsiness! Amazing! Would have liked to sleep longer but not a bad start. My daughter said it made her feel groggy all day. I feel great. So many mixed reviews - either love it or loathe it. If you can't sleep, it's worth a try."

For Insomnia "I have been taking 6.25 mg Zolpidem for 6 years. I asked my doctor if there was something else to try that may be less habit forming. I tried it last night for the first time and will not take it again. I didn't sleep well. Seems like I saw every hour on the hour and had bad dreams when I did fall asleep. Been groggy and foggy all day. I'm done and going back to Zolpidem."

For Insomnia "I don't have a problem falling asleep, just staying asleep. I wake up anywhere from 4 to 6 times a night, which leaves me extremely tired and sleepy during the day. Was diagnosed with sleep apnea and put on a CPAP machine, but I still wake up 4 to 6 times a night. Doctor prescribed Dayvigo. Been on it for a week now and I'm still waking up 4 to 6 times a night. Also have extreme drowsiness the next day, worse than I ever had just from waking up so many times in the night. So, I get a side effect without any benefit. Why take a pill that exacerbates the reason you want to take it?"

For Insomnia "Been taking for 4 weeks, my sleep is back on track, and I don't get the morning grogginess that Lunesta and Ambien are famous for. I do understand why so many fear or don't like this medication. If you have a history of sleep paralysis, think TWICE before taking."

For Insomnia "I tried 50 mg of Quviviq and was eh. Then, once I switched to Dayvigo, I feel like it works so much better. It helps me fall asleep fast and makes me sleep through the entire night, however, I do feel groggy in the morning, but it’s not terrible, definitely manageable. If your insurance covers this, definitely take advantage and give it a try! My biggest problem is falling asleep, and this has been working quite nicely for it!"

The effects only worsened the longer I took it. It did help me fall asleep, but the side effects were unbearable, and I quit after giving it a good try."
