For Insomnia "BEWARE. DO NOT USE DAYVIGO. I've been taking Ambien 10mg for approximately 1.5 years and had no issues. My doctor suggested Dayvigo as an alternative. I gave it a go. Took the 10mg version 1 time and had the worst sleep of my life. The onset feeling was dizziness and very heavy eyes. I was lying down in bed and attempted to sleep. Within minutes, I experienced tremendous amounts of anxiety, feeling of racing heart, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, headache, restlessness, and agitation. It felt as if I was on an upper and a downer at the same time. I tossed and turned. It was a miserable experience. After about 1.5 hours of taking it, I forced myself to throw up in an attempt to rid my body of this toxin. This accomplished nothing as the drug had already been absorbed into my bloodstream. I drank a lot of water and ate food to try and minimize the drug's effects. The half-life for Dayvigo 10mg is 19 hours! So I'll have to be patient while my body metabolizes this awful substance."

For Insomnia "Got this from a new doctor, one I had to ask to put on a mask when I entered her office. That should have been warning enough to not trust her. I took the 5 mg pill around 11:30 p.m. By midnight, still not feeling sleepy, feeling fuzzy and slightly dizzy. Went to bed and settled in. That is when the nightmares began. These dreams were intense and more vivid than I thought possible. Like immersive 3D real-world technicolor high-end sound. Woke up at 4 a.m. feeling like my entire body was vibrating. Got back to bed at 4:30 a.m. attempting to sleep. Instantly, the insane dreams started up again. Felt like a state somewhere between being awake and asleep. Woke up at 8 a.m. sweaty and shaking a bit. Got up and spent the next hour trying to feel okay. Now, two hours later, I finally feel sleepy. Probably just tired from being in the middle of some kind of cinematic hell all night. I do not recommend this. I would not wish it on someone I deeply despise. I would rather just not sleep."

For Insomnia "HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE BEWARE!!! Do not take this medication at all costs, side effects are atrocious and frightening, this drug should be pulled off the market. I was prescribed this medication for my difficulty staying asleep. I have been taking Ambien for a few years. I took Dayvigo last night and I am still shaken and traumatized by the experience. The drug starts working pretty quickly, I had difficulty staying awake, I felt myself drifting but in a vertigo-style sensation and then straight into a vivid nightmare where I was underwater and could not breathe, all this within minutes. I struggled to wake up and come to my senses, panicked and shocked. I calmed down and slowly felt the same spinning sensation and entered into another nightmare, unable to breathe. I forced myself awake, had to turn on all the lights and open all the windows in the condo. I paced for hours to stay awake to avoid experiencing the feeling of dying. Struggled whether to call 911, paced nonstop until 4 AM."

For Insomnia "Helps with sleep, but after the first couple of weeks, I found that it lasts only about 3 hours. Therefore, I take half on falling asleep, and the other half late in the night. Coincident with starting the Dayvigo, I've had severe nausea and vertigo on and off during the day. I don't know if it's related to the Dayvigo, or due to something else. Has anyone else experienced nausea and/or vertigo during the day? Unfortunately, I've become dependent on Dayvigo, and so stopping it to check will be difficult."

For Insomnia "I have suffered with insomnia for many years. I can fall asleep, but I cannot stay asleep during the night. Dayvigo is the only medication that I have found that doesn’t give me negative side effects (headaches, dizziness, fatigue the next day). I am alert the next day after taking Dayvigo."

For Insomnia "Last night, took this drug hoping I can finally sleep. I cut it in half just in case since it was a new drug, so I took one piece, and I didn’t feel anything at all. So I took the other half. As soon as I did, everything was spinning out of control. I lost my balance, and I felt like I had drunk beer in my younger days, everything spinning around me. I panicked, so I called the ambulance, and they took me to the hospital where they were able to flush it out of my system and gave me Ambien and I fell asleep for 4 hours in the ER. This is a sleeping pill, it’s HORRIBLE."

For Insomnia "A complete nightmare. I felt like I was going to die. Heavy eyes, dizzy, confused, scared. I felt like I was going to have a panic attack and couldn’t fall asleep at all."

For Insomnia "I would not give this drug to my worst enemy. I have struggled with insomnia since I was prescribed Lexapro 3 years ago. I have tried many sleeping pills - all just do not sit well with me, eventually becoming ineffective. My psychiatrist gave me a sample of Dayvigo and I took it for the first time last night - 5mg. Needless to say, I literally thought it was the end of me. I took it around 10 pm, 30 minutes later, I felt very dizzy and could hardly move. My heart was racing, and I consistently felt out of breath. I had to consciously tell my body to move, it took several minutes to just lift a finger. I was so scared to sleep because I thought I was going to die. I was up until 4 am, just praying I would make it through the night. If I had taken 10mg, I don’t know if I would be here. Please be cautious. I would rather never sleep again than to take this pill again. I’m still shaken up today."
