For Insomnia "BEWARE. DO NOT USE DAYVIGO. I've been taking Ambien 10mg for approximately 1.5 years and had no issues. My doctor suggested Dayvigo as an alternative. I gave it a go. Took the 10mg version 1 time and had the worst sleep of my life. The onset feeling was dizziness and very heavy eyes. I was lying down in bed and attempted to sleep. Within minutes, I experienced tremendous amounts of anxiety, feeling of racing heart, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, headache, restlessness, and agitation. It felt as if I was on an upper and a downer at the same time. I tossed and turned. It was a miserable experience. After about 1.5 hours of taking it, I forced myself to throw up in an attempt to rid my body of this toxin. This accomplished nothing as the drug had already been absorbed into my bloodstream. I drank a lot of water and ate food to try and minimize the drug's effects. The half-life for Dayvigo 10mg is 19 hours! So I'll have to be patient while my body metabolizes this awful substance."

For Insomnia "Had my first experience of sleep paralysis with this medication last night. It was the most horrible experience. In one night, I had 3-4 episodes of sleep paralysis. There was a time, too, when I felt like I couldn’t breathe, but at the same time, I couldn’t move. Never again. Although it did help me fall asleep. 10 mg, what it does is it makes your eyelids so heavy that you’re not able to keep them open, thereby forcing you to fall asleep."

For Insomnia "Have been taking 10 mg Zolpidem for insomnia without issue. Doctor prescribed 5 mg Dayvigo, alternating with Zolpidem every other day. Every night with Dayvigo has been a literal nightmare. Excessive dreams, unable to sleep, extremely tired the next day. Will not take anymore."

For Insomnia "I have taken Dayvigo for 11 nights now, trying to see if my body will adjust. The sleep doctor who prescribed it wanted me to try combining clonazepam and Dayvigo to stop what I would refer to as 'brain buzzing.' I did this for 5 days - no change and thought - hm...now I'm taking two drugs. I stopped the clonazepam, and the buzzing is getting worse rather than better. I am anxious, somewhat depressed, nervous, tearful, and I am very lethargic. I have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, even though I do get at least 6 hours of sleep. My thoughts are racing when I wake up, and I have disturbing dreams often. When I wake, I think I need to take clonazepam to calm my brain down. I feel that my depression is worsening. I would rate this medication as a negative number out of ten. It is not tolerable for me."

For Insomnia "Slept for about 3 hours and then wandered around the house on and off for the rest of the night. Became fixated on the past like doing acid in my younger days. Each day I become more anxious and tired."

For Insomnia "Dr. prescribed 10 mg, but I cut it in half to 5 mg, and that made me very tired very fast. However, day 1 and 2, intense and disturbing dreams, day 3, a nightmare, so I stopped taking the product for a couple of days. Last night I tried once more, and for the first time, experienced sleep paralysis - that was a terrifying experience. I could not get my eyes open! That's it for me, no more Dayvigo. Advil PM has worked in the past, so I’ll go back to those."

For Insomnia "I take Effexor ER for depression. My depression worsened. Dreams that were vivid and sad seemed to keep my mood low upon waking up and throughout my morning. I felt tired and pushed through my day until I took a nap. I won't take the medication again mainly because of the worsening of my depression."

For Insomnia "Ok well... for years I was on zopiclone (Ambien). I'm Canadian, so bear with me with med names. Insomnia was so bad I was on 4 per night, which is one of the highest doses I've ever heard of by doctors here. Zopiclone is addictive, and you become dependent and tolerant to it, so eventually, I had doctors taper me off of it, and the cocktail they put in place was what I'm on now (13 years). I'm on Seroquel, trazodone, mirtazapine, a low dose of diazepam, and prazosin for PTSD nightmares. It worked for a long time, but recently I just wasn't getting good sleep and was in nightmare mode all night. So I tried Dayvigo, it was the last medication I hadn't tried available in Canada. I tried 5mg, and it kind of worked once, and then I wasn't noticing a difference throughout the night. Yes, it made me dopey and tired, so I would fall asleep fast, but after only 2 months now, I take it and don't really get tired. Then I sleep for 3-4 hours and wake up every 30 minutes to an hour. I tried 10mg, even 15mg, nada."

For Insomnia "Got me to sleep but had terrible headaches during the day. Bad nightmares and kept waking constantly. Even though I had 8 hours of sleep, it felt like I only had 3 to 4 hours. Woke unrefreshed and lethargic."

For Insomnia "I have had insomnia since I was a child. I have tried over-the-counter pills plus many prescription medications for insomnia. I had great hopes for the 5 mg of Dayvigo. Unfortunately, it does not keep me asleep. I have no side effects while I am in bed. The next day I am so tired and nauseous. I have been on it for over 2 weeks. I will ask my doctor to prescribe something different when I see her in another 2 weeks. I am so disappointed with this medication."

For Insomnia "A complete nightmare. I felt like I was going to die. Heavy eyes, dizzy, confused, scared. I felt like I was going to have a panic attack and couldn’t fall asleep at all."
