For High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "I could not take statins without side effects. Sore muscles, aching joints. I was crying at night, could not sleep. After using Leqvio for 2 doses, I don't even need to take any statins. I also changed the way I eat."

For High Cholesterol "Hives and hand numbness approximately 2.5 weeks after the second shot -- in the arm that received the shot. Severe body aches gradually faded after the first shot in about 4 to 5 weeks. I am not far enough along from the second shot to know if/when the body aches will fade."

For High Cholesterol "My experience with Leqvio has been very good. My cholesterol went from 140 LDL to 50 LDL after the second shot. The shot was relatively painless, less than the flu shot. No side effects. I am a 61-year-old man who feels relieved not to have to take a statin every day."

For High Cholesterol "I was unable to use statins because of serious, severe side effects. I have had 2 injections so far and have had zero side effects. Leqvio has lowered my cholesterol levels to normal with the 2 injections! I will be continuing with these injections as prescribed. Very happy with the results. I am 70 and a female."

For High Cholesterol "The Leqvio injection was a brief stop at the cardiologist's office. Typical, brief shot in the back of the arm. Easy. They held me there for ~15 minutes to ensure no injection symptoms. The nurse administering the injection did it very well. No pain or discomfort. I don't have serum numbers yet so I am unable to speak to the effectiveness, but I wish all my meds could be this easy."

"Has lower overall count to < 110 and ratio is in range first time in life, received my 7th injection on November 24, but 3 days later dry skin patches popping out on my nose and around my mouth, on the sides of my head, back, and legs. Firmly believe Leqvio is the reason. Believe cholesterol is too low in my body and is having a negative impact on my immune system."

For High Cholesterol "Started first injection 2 weeks ago. A week later, very loose bowels for three days. I don't have any muscle and joint pain like the statin drugs caused. But I am very fatigued during the day, my legs are weak. Even after sleeping 8 hours. But if it lowers my LDL and I don't have to have bypass surgery again, I can live with it. I plan on starting strength training with weights to see if I can counteract the fatigue, plus B12 supplement."

For High Cholesterol, Familial Heterozygous "The side effects listed are about right. Had some periods of dizziness too. I have had bouts of big-time fatigue, and I think that is a result of the Leqvio. The side effects are aggravating, but in general, are worth it for the results."

For High Cholesterol "I am 76 years old and female and eat a heart-healthy diet. I am scheduled for a 3rd injection in March. To begin with, my cholesterol levels were not much over the suggested limits, but since I have hereditary high blood pressure and a family history of heart attacks, Leqvio was prescribed. I didn't want to take another prescription pill since I was already taking 5 (3 for high blood pressure, 1 for thyroid, and 1 for acid reflux). I preferred an injection 2 times a year. It is given in the fat of the arm, not the muscle, so uncomfortable side effects were minimal and brief. The only other possible side effect was cramping from my calf to my foot, mostly at night. This subsided after about a month. My bad cholesterol dropped significantly, and my good cholesterol remained very good. Although it does mean another trip to the doctor's office for the nurse to give the injection, it is very quick."

For High Cholesterol "Nothing seemed to work to lower my cholesterol to acceptable levels, but using Leqvio along with a statin and ezetimibe brought my total cholesterol to 126. I have had no side effects from Leqvio. My only criticism is the cost."

For High Cholesterol "In 2022, I got my first Leqvio injection in the doctor's office. I loved the results, my HDL cholesterol went to normal for a long period of time. This is the only medicine my body tolerated without any secondary effects. I beg my doctors to please get me back on, they prescribe, but insurance declined, subject to a letter of necessity, but that fails to fulfill the purpose. The doctor's office claims they did submit insurance claims, they never got it. I still need this injection. I have conventional Medicare Part B and D."
