Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "I've been taking Tremfya for just over 6 months now and I haven't seen any improvement. I was really hoping to get the results others were getting because I've heard 90% of users are clear within 90 days. I haven't experienced any side effects really except I've notice recently I've had to urinate a little more often."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "Been on Tremfya for about a year now. I had some form of psoriasis on about 80% of my body before I began treatment. After the first injection I had 70% clearer skin and 100% after the second. The needle is tiny and it is really easy to give myself the injection with little to no discomfort. No joint pain, I have hypothyroidism so I cannot comment on the fatigue side effects as I am always tired anyway. Did have minor headaches for a couple days after injections. Loved the drug but within the last month I have started developing plaques on my scalp and elbows again. Sad doesn’t even begin to describe my emotions. I have another 4 weeks until my next injection so we’ll see what happens. Heading back to the dermatologist if my symptoms worsen after that."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriatic Arthritis "I had been taking Enbrel for 20 years and switched to Tremfya. Have taken it for one month now and it started working from day one. It has decreased the stiffness in my joint and I feel less discomfort. I do feel more lethargic though. Will decide next month if I continue taking it."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriatic Arthritis "I have minimal psoriasis. Bad PsA. Helpful early shots weeks 0,4,8 - improved energy, reduced pain, inflammation and increased functionality. Side effects tolerable (sinus and some tinea). Tiredness after shot (2 days). But after that, the 8 weekly schedule poor. Tremfya poops out around week 4-5, and for the next 3-4 weeks my PsA spreads further - now in both feet and hands, all fingers. Now moving to 6 weekly. Not guaranteed this will be possible long term. It's been 12 months now. I still use Lyrica 75 mg for enthesitis pain at the end of toes and fingers at night. A 4 weekly schedule would be far better. But the Australian government won't allow it (so far). I intend reporting accurately to TGA and Janssen in hope the schedule can be moved to 4 weekly. I agree the self-injection pen is terrible. Too hard to push. I once lost a dose by incomplete pressing (in the hospital, so the nurse observing said it wasn't my fault.) Janssen replaced it for free (thanks Janssen)."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriatic Arthritis "I have a very advanced case of psoriatic arthritis. I was switched from Orencia to Tremfya in 2021 because. Orencia could no longer over come the effects of the disease. Tremfya was slow to get traction but did begin to work. Tremfya does a fair job in reducing inflammation and preventing further joint erosion. It seems to wear off beginning in week 6 out of the 56 days. No noticeable side effects."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "Been on Tremfya for over 6 months. Cleared 100% almost immediately. Failed Humira and Cosentyx previously. Body aches and joint pain on the rise. Cold sores occurring. A couple of intense colds . Energy drain. So far worth the side effects for me. For now:)"

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriatic Arthritis "I have BOTH: psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Like most of the reviews here, my plaques are 100% gone BUT the joint pain in hips and knees is off the charts. For years only had pain in my right hip but since starting Tremfya about 6 months ago, now having bilateral hip pain and knees have flared up as well. Like you have to choose: do you want to treat the plaques or the pain, because NOTHING has helped me with both."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "I have psoriasis but I take this medicine more for psoriatic arthritis. It has not yet been approved by the FDA as of this writing for that purpose. Other medicines in the same category have been approved for this treatment. My psoriasis plaques cleared about 95% after a few months. No side effects that I've noticed. My only complaint is that you take the medicine every 8 weeks on maintenance dosage. By the 6th week I have bad joint pain flare ups in my knees and hand joints. So usually by that time I'm asking for a cortisone shot and begin taking meloxicam along with it until my next dose."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "I have been on Tremfya for about a year and a half. I developed psoriasis plaques at the age of 5 and have been on every cream, tar compound and under the lights. I have the kind that worsens with sun exposure and was slightly better in winter months. So, just when the shorts and t-shirts came out, so did the psoriasis! So difficult with the teasing growing up, and the pain of cracking and bleeding. I was considered moderate to severe with the plaques I had. After 55 years of dealing with this I relented and tried Tremfya. It has been amazing, I am totally clear. I have been a bit more prone to colds and coughs, including bronchitis. I also contracted Covid which was getting more serious, but Paxlovid really worked for me then. I have felt the immune suppression side effect, but still worth the freedom from plaques and hopefully psoriatic arthritis. I am grateful for Tremfya and have had no other side effects."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "I started Tremfya in February 2019. Now my skin is clear, joint pain 90% gone, however, questionable upper respiratory infection after the 2nd shot, and bronchitis after 3rd and now 4th shot. Side effects after 4th shot included worsening bronchitis, fever, chills, and big time malaise... almost flu like symptoms. Continuing to take Tremfya until I can trend the patterns and make sure they are related under my Dr's observations."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "I have had plaque psoriasis since I was 16. I had to use topicals and as I became an adult my doctor wasn't confident that a biologic wasn't going to affect me adversely there hadn't been enough study so she advised against it back in the day. Recently in the last two year period I started with Humira which started to work for 3 months at work and at the 3-month mark it started to come back, I was so disappointed because I looked good when it was going away I was so happy. So I kept on going next I tried Taltz, I didn't see much with this but the injection was so painful I couldn't tolerate it and I have no idea why it was utterly painful. I had to been allergic to the buffers but as I was not getting any significant results with the it. Then I went to Tremfya and oh my goodness it works. I look great I feel great I can go to the beach now without looking at people staring at me!"

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "I have been on Tremfya for about 12 months now and have really loved the results. I do have small flare ups just before I am due to take my next injection but over all I have remained psoriasis free. I do have some joint pain which I assume is from the Tremfya but even so it is worth it. Wes, I think you will find getting hypothyroidism could be linked to already having an autoimmune condition such as psoriasis. Often when you have one auto immune condition you are at risk of ending up with two or three. I have both of these conditions. I find intermittent fasting does help a little bit with my overall health."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "I am now a week out from my 2nd injection. First month went great with skin psoriasis mostly gone and psoriatic arthritis pain very slightly better. 2 weeks after my 2nd injection full on joint pain worse than before taking and the return of my psoriasis. Going to switch to Humira and pray for better results!"

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "Dermatologist recommended I switch from Enbrel to Tremfya after 7 years of my psoriasis under control. Tremfya did nothing. My scaling came back in multiple areas and I had blotching on my face as well. Bye bye Tremfya."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriatic Arthritis "Tremfya was the worst experience I gave it more than a year actually 14 months and then those 14 months I had a horrible rheumatologist put me on methotrexate which caused chronic UTI's she didn’t diagnose them I suffered with aSED rate of 120 which a normal SED rate should be 30, The reason I was put on methorexate is because I was still in severe pain with every joint inflamed while on the Tremfya. It is horrible for psoriatic arthritis but it did work very very well for my plaque psoriasis. If you have just a few patches of plaque but have bad joint pain do not take this medication try Otesla it has worked miracles on me I cannot believe I suffered for 14 months with Tremfya"

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "I am 62 years old. I started 100mg/mL Tremfya injections one year ago after suffering for 10 years with progressively worsening psoriasis. I had spots all over my body, including my privates. I was depressed and spent hours daily taking care of my skin (baths, exfoliating, moisturizing). I didn't want to go out or let anyone see my skin. Within a week of my starter dose, there was visible improvement. By 2 months, I was completely clear of all psoriasis spots. What a relief! I'm back to my old self! I have no difficulty administering the injection myself at home, and the pharmacy delivers it right to my door. I've had no negative side effects. Tremfya has been a lifesaver for me."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "I’ve been using Tremfya for nearly a year and have had wonderful results. Not only has nearly all of my psoriasis disappeared, but I also feel better in general. Interestingly, my hand pain has greatly decreased even though I haven’t been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. (I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis by an orthopedic doctor, however.) I do now have a reduced white blood cell count, which returns to normal a month or so after the injection. I never had a low white blood cell count before, except during unrelated radiation treatments. I get a couple of extra colds per year, but it’s worth it for how much better I feel!"

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriatic Arthritis "Tremfya was OK for Psoriasis but terrible for joint pain. Hobbled down stairs all day long, did not get better thru the day, cannot walk much. Have been in aqua PT for several months. Now rheumy switched me to Stelara every 8 weeks, cannot wait to start it and go for a walk!"

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "I loved Tremfya at first. I have guttate and scalp psoriasis, and it cleared my scalp so fast. The spots on my body are 99% gone, and now there’s just pigmentation. I've stopped scratching behind my ears and the parts of my body with psoriasis on them. Tremfya has helped clear my skin! However, after the second injection, I noticed I started to gain weight. Not only this, but I started experiencing constipation and harder bowel movements. After my fourth injection, I've gained 10 pounds. My periods are irregular and heavier. I've never had these issues before Tremfya. It sucks because it works so well for my psoriasis, but the side effects are not worth it. I will be getting off of Tremfya and letting my hormones and body readjust. Maybe it’s just not right for me or because I'm 22, I think my body just reacted very badly to it."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "Switched from Siliq to Tremfya due to insurance issues... not by choice. Tremfya by far worst performing injection. Psoriasis spots reappeared on my legs so my derm prescribed a topical. Hadn't used topicals in years. The worst part: upper respiratory infections galore. Four in 2 months with most recent this week resulting in ear infection requiring antibiotics. Head and body aches common with Tremfya as well. Not a good medicine for me at all."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Psoriasis "15 mo on Tremfya for Psoriasis Pros: confidence in public settings, 100% skin clearance, super easy company to work with if insurance won’t cover, once every 8 weeks after startup compared to daily. Cons: many bouts of upper respiratory illnesses, several skin infections, skin sensitivity to sun, diarrhea, extreme tiredness week before my shot, will not help joints."

Tremfya (guselkumab) for Plaque Psoriasis "Due to my third injection on Christmas day, within 3 hours of my first injection, I could see a difference. Fabulous! A week later, my body was free of psoriasis after 43 years. Wonderful! I have noticed a tiny bit of psoriasis returning, but I am due for another injection next week. All is well. We actually went on a holiday a few weeks ago. I put on my swimming costume for the first time in years and swam in the sea. I cannot believe my skin, thanks to Tremfya. I've got my life back and loving it. I am wearing clothes I've never worn in years. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK. CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH."
