For Type 2 Diabetes "Works very well in lowering glucose levels; however, significant side effects. Substantial weight gain regardless of diet/exercise, stomach pain, nausea, bloating, burning/tingling sensation in hands/feet, all of which remit when the drug is stopped. I give a rating of 5 due to fantastic effectiveness at lowering glucose, but the side effects can be substantial."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Severe stomach pain, nausea, headache. After I stopped taking this for a couple of weeks, my symptoms went away. Started taking it again. All the above came back."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Four years ago, I tried Metformin for my type 2 diabetes and had a horrific reaction: severe fainting, stomach pains, diarrhea, cramps, and I discontinued it. I tried a second time a few weeks later and had the same horrific reaction. This week, I started Glipizide, and in five days, I see a drop in my insulin to 115 from 346 at the start of the week. NO pains, cramps, diarrhea, and I can't believe it. It feels like a miracle after my Metformin experience."
