For Acne "I rated this TriNessa low with five stars because this is my first month on the medication. When taking the pill, I did not experience any mood swings, dizziness, or sickness. I felt great...the only problem was that my face broke out like a pizza! I was on the shot 6 months prior to the pill and had very minimal acne. I'm hoping that if I stick with it, the acne will subside and I will be happy with the overall results!"

For Acne "I wrote a review on January 22nd saying that I'll give this pill three more months. Well, I didn't even last a full month. I was getting HUGE cystic acne everywhere but my cheeks. It hurt so bad it made me cry. After getting off the pill, which was no problem except a heavy mood swing, I've felt happier. I guess I was feeling depressed on the pill and didn't even recognize it because my life was very stressful at the time of starting it. My acne has gone away except for a few small pimples before my period. I will never go back to this pill. I am not currently on birth control but plan to be back on within the next year."

For Birth Control "Been on birth control for about 4 years, was first on Mononessa, but my acne got very bad, and so I went up to TriNessa and everything is fine! I’m an athlete, so I’ve always pretty much been in somewhat good shape. Acne is very uncommon, but I’m a 19-year-old girl. My skin clears up, and then some days it doesn’t. I have never gotten pregnant and am active with my boyfriend, and no worries ever really. Thinking of going to an IUD maybe in the near future. Any suggestions?"

For Acne "No problems with the effectiveness of the contraceptive in terms of pregnancy. However, I broke out all over my face with acne for the first time in my life, and I'm 23. I've also had heightened feelings of depression and anxiety that I've never experienced before since taking TriNessa Lo."

For Acne "Was prescribed TriNessa for acne and mood swings. Made my acne terrible, worse than ever before, and developed mood swings worse than ever. Didn’t help my severe cramps whatsoever. Didn’t gain weight (I think? I don’t weigh myself). But overall, made acne and mood swings worse."

For Birth Control "Started taking this to avoid getting pregnant. The first two weeks I had horrible headaches which would turn into migraines. I also started breaking out in acne everywhere. I have not had clear skin since high school, but now it's all over my face, chest, and back. Nothing helps to get rid of it. I drink plenty of water, use the usual creams and soaps, and still have acne in exactly the same places for the past month. Only plus is that my period is very light and only lasts four days."

For Birth Control "My first month was fine! I am a very emotional person and prone to anxiety attacks, and it never made it worse! Almost felt like it made it better... HOWEVER, after the first month, I started having itchy skin, vaginal discharge, vaginal burning and irritation, hives all over my body, eczema on my fingers! Really weird stuff... went to the doctor and got tested for everything! Including STDs. All negative. The only thing we could think of was this birth control. Kept taking it for a third month, symptoms got worse, even started gaining weight and acne! Stopped taking it on a Saturday, it is now Thursday: most all symptoms are gone. It had to be the BC..."

For Acne "I have always had long, heavy periods and mild acne. I went on this birth control to help my periods and acne, and it did the opposite and added major mood swings. I have been on this pill for a month, and my acne is so unbearably bad. I can’t stay on it any longer to wait out if it gets any better because of how bad it is. It did nothing but make everything worse!"

For Acne "Took Gianvi for about two years and felt it made me too emotional and not myself, but my skin was glowing. So I stopped taking it thinking my skin would be fine. After four-ish months, my skin was so gross and bumpy. I told my gyno I wanted new birth control for acne, and she prescribed me Tri-Sprintex. The pharmacy has given me Tri-Previfin and now Tri-Nessa (because they're generics). This is my fourth month, and my cystic acne has gotten worse. One day I forgot to take my pill and woke up the next morning with like six new cystic pimples on my forehead. I also have little bumps still on my face that are like little whiteheads, especially all over my chin. It's terrible and looks dreadful in the sun. My chest and back are cleared, but my face is not."

For Birth Control "I have always had acne on most of my face, but never extremely bad, but this made my skin break out. I read reviews that it did to many girls, but I thought, well, it may be different for my combination skin/acne. I was on it for three months, and that’s when my acne was at its all-time worst, and I didn’t even realize it was the pill. I got off it for a month (didn’t have money lol), then got on Mili, and I’m on my third month. I still haven’t skipped a period as I’m trying, and my mood swings are bad, but light flow, still cramping, my acne looks a lot more clear though."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking TriNessa, my skin began to break out and I began to have mood swings. After close to 2 months, my skin cleared and was clear the remainder of my time taking the pill. I had to stop taking TriNessa because it caused EXTREME depression every time I got my period and made me very, very emotional. I told my doctor, and she told me to stop taking it immediately. Since stopping, my skin is breaking out, I’ve had migraines and moderate cramping."

For Birth Control "I just started TriNessa, but so far it's been good. I used to have really bad nausea before and during my period, really bad cramps, and my period was 7 days long and extra heavy. I started TriNessa the day I started my period, and there was a change right from the start. The moodiness I encountered during my period was gone, my period was lighter, my cramps, albeit the first day they were there, were significantly weaker. The only downside to this is, before I started, I had clear skin, didn't get pimples or zits, nothing, but after I started this, I got a couple pimples. Also, after I take this pill, it leaves an aftertaste in my mouth, and it makes me a tad bit lightheaded right after taking it, and I have to drink some juice."

For Acne "I'm currently on my first pack of this new BC (took the last light blue pill and gonna start the dark blue ones tomorrow). As of now, my face is exploding with painful acne all over. I almost want to stop treatment right now. I know some ratings say to wait until month 3-6 to actually see any results. I haven't really noticed any major issues except nausea in the beginning with TriNessa. ~sigh~ I'll continue treatment. Has to get worse before it can get better, right? Does anyone have any suggestions for an acne routine to help with this painful explosion?"

For Acne "My doctor had switched me to Trinessa (as it was completely covered by my insurance) about 2 years ago. It cleaned up my acne, gave me soft, beautiful skin. Light periods. And my cramps went away. But about 6 months ago, I noticed I was getting pimples at the time of my period. No big deal, because they went away at the end of my period. However, the last couple of months I've had really bad breakouts on my chin, and they are not going away! I guess every good thing comes to an end."

For Acne "Before going on this birth control, I had mild acne. I wanted to go on birth control to clear up my skin, but Trinessa did the total opposite for me. It made my skin ten times worse. I would wake up every morning with a new, huge welt somewhere on my face and horrible pimples around my mouth and jawline. I continued using this birth control in hopes that it was just an initial breakout and it would clear up (like everyone said it would), but after 6 months, my skin was still horrible. The day after I stopped using Trinessa, my skin cleared up almost instantly. I would not recommend this birth control to anyone. It is horrible. Even after being off of it for almost four months, I still have scarring. Please find a different birth control!!"
