For Birth Control "My insurance had made me switch from Tri-Nessa to Tri-Sprintec. At first, I had the typical transitional side effects, such as nausea, cramping, and irritability/emotional for the first few days. I continued to take it, and I noticed the symptoms got worse, I expected the emotional part to go away. I started having headaches and nausea/stomach pain every time I took it. Had continuous spotting. The days that I wasn't bleeding, I felt super bloated. In my first month, I missed three pills and had unprotected sex. Had a weird feeling in my stomach like I was super bloated, like I was full. Took a pregnancy test, it came back negative. About three months later, I was trying to have sex with my boyfriend, and it was super swollen with vaginal dryness, which I had never experienced before. It stayed swollen for the next few days until I called my doctor. The doctor told me my body must be super sensitive and to stop taking it. The side effects were really horrible for me, and I will not take it."

For Birth Control "I was scared to try this after reading negative reviews, but honestly, just listen to your doctor. I've been on it for over two months. My acne has cleared up, and my periods have regulated already back to normal. The only complaint is that I get worse cramps than before, and it made me slightly moody at first, but no longer does."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed Tri-Sprintec because I was having extremely long periods that lasted up to a month. It stopped my period immediately, and I only had abnormal bleeding outside of the placebo week during the first month that I used it. However, I really don't believe that it's worth the side effects. I started getting acne when my skin has always been very clear. My skin has become incredibly sensitive to new products (and even some products that I've used for over a year with no issue). My periods have become regular, but I now get intense cramping during the whole week. Worst of all, though, is that I have become severely emotionally unstable. In between the depression spells and intense anger, I become manic. I am a teenager, and I've gotten mood swings before, but never like this. It's almost unbearable. I plan on talking to my doctor soon so that I can find a different pill that works better for my needs."

For Birth Control "I was given Tri-Sprintec after my usual prescription of TriNessa was discontinued. I had the normal side effects such as nausea, cramping, and a change in period the first few weeks, but that was nothing compared to the anxiety and depression it caused the longer I took it. By the end of the second month, I was crying every day and had horrifying intrusive thoughts. I finally had to make an appointment with my doctor, and she told me to stop taking it and gave me an antidepressant to ride out the lingering effects until it leaves my system. 10/10 would not take again. I seriously miss TriNessa."

For Acne "This is my second brand I've tried using this form of birth control. Ever since a month or two after I began this, I've severely been breaking out all over my face, especially on the jawline, the chin, and forehead. I have struggled with mild acne before this, just a few spots here and there, but it has caused me to break out everywhere now, and it is extremely bad. I have tried countless things to try and help this, from everything over the counter and even prescriptions, topical and oral. I have tried EVERYTHING, and it will not go away. It has lengthened my periods from three days to now six and made them heavier, and I never used to have cramps, now I do. I've experienced fatigue and depression from this. Too many negative side effects for me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So I started taking these pills 2 weeks ago. I took it on a Tuesday, a week before my original period would come. I noticed I was getting horrible headaches, but I brushed it off because my period had come June 23rd, so I thought that was the reason for the headaches. But today is June 30th, and I’m still bleeding heavily and cramping like crazy. My period was normal before taking these pills, it would last 4 days and cramps the first 2 days, but that’s it. I think these pills cause those horrible headaches and this prolonged bleeding. I’m seriously soaking through my pads still after 8 full days. I honestly believe it’s the pills, which I’m not gonna take anymore. I would not take this medication, try another birth control brand."

For Birth Control "I took Tri-Sprintec for 2 years while I had no insurance and couldn't afford anything else. On Tri-Sprintec, I experienced weekly migraine headaches, nausea, extremely heavy periods that lasted up to eight days, and horrible cramps that would leave me curled up on the couch and unable to go to school or work. All my life, I had experienced heavy periods, but it seemed to get worse on this. This is not including the terrible mood swings that almost drove me and my boyfriend apart. I hated myself, and it didn't help things that my sex drive was nonexistent. I am now on Loestrin 24 Fe and have had none of these side effects."

For Birth Control "As with every birth control, it should be stressed that every woman’s experience with whichever birth control they decide on will vary because every woman’s body is different. It should also be said that you have to remember that people are much more likely to review a more negative experience than a positive one, so take each review with a grain of salt until you try it out. You just kind of have to experiment, unfortunately. So far, though, this birth control works for me. I’ve been on it for a month. Pros so far: Cleared horrible acne a previous birth control caused me, ‘fuller’ boobs, increased sex drive, no weight gain or loss. Cons so far: cramping throughout the month and horrible cramping on placebo week, huge passing of blood clots also during placebo week. It’s not a bad birth control FOR ME. Ladies, don’t be scared to try it. It may or may not work for you. But that’s a risk you take with any birth control you go on."

For Birth Control "Been taking this since 2016, has worked great thus far. First couple of months were hard. When you first start taking this, ALWAYS take it with food, I noticed this helped with getting nauseous. My period was always consistent, I always knew when I was going to get it. My periods would only last 1-3 days and were VERY light with little pain. I also recommend if you’re trying to “skip” your period, don’t start the new pack from the beginning, I always experienced spotting this way. Instead, start on the week you left off to avoid spotting. Overall, this has worked great for me. Before taking these, I would experience severe cramps and heavy periods, this definitely has been life-changing for me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for one month now, and it made my period come early. I just took the last blue pill, and I have been bleeding for 14 days nonstop. Now I'm on the placebo pills, so hopefully the bleeding will stop in a few days. At first, it was just spots of blood, and then I had heavy bleeding. It has made me very emotional and sensitive, and the loss of blood has made me so tired with no energy. I've been having really bad nightmares and cramps. I'm going to try a different pill next month because this one is definitely not working for me."

For Birth Control "I am on my second month of taking Tri-Sprintec. I have not experienced any nausea, cramps, mood swings, or weird bleeding from the pill. My last period was actually really short and really light. The price is great too. My only complaint is that it makes my face break out horribly. During the first 2-3 weeks of the first month, my acne got horrible. During the last week and a half, my face cleared up great, though. Now, I am 2 weeks into my second month, and my face looks awful again. I talked to my dermatologist, and she told me that it is a great pill when used for clearing up acne and that my face should look great in 2-4 months. I hope this is true!"

For Birth Control "I tried taking this birth control for 4 days right before bed. I noticed I was waking up unable to eat and nauseated. I work out 6 days a week and couldn’t afford to not keep eating, so I stopped taking it. The next morning, no nausea and no symptoms. I called my doc and told her to switch me, and she told me to take it with a full meal. As soon as I took it, I started to feel nauseated and went to bed. All throughout the night, I was cramping and having nausea like I had the stomach flu. I couldn’t sleep, and my nausea was some of the worst I’ve had. I just got up this morning and have puked a few times along with having bad diarrhea. Not to mention, a bit after I took it, I had a pounding headache last night. I’m currently sitting here, exhausted from not sleeping and sick to my stomach, having to take care of a child. This birth control is NEVER something I would recommend in a million years."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for a year, and I loved it! It has done an amazing job with preventing pregnancy and working with other medicines I take for migraines. The only problem I have had with this pill was that I have gained 25 pounds since I started it last November, and I had really bad cramping the week before I started my period. I play soccer and work out a lot, and I eat healthy, and the weight gain has got me really down, so I'm probably going to talk to my doctor about changing pills."

For Birth Control "I have menorrhagia (very heavy period bleeding). I have severe cramps. I was on Loestrin 24 Fe for a year, and I started getting my period twice a month! I started taking Tri-Sprintec a couple of months ago, and I haven't had my period at all, no cramps, my skin is clear, I haven't gained any weight either."

For Birth Control "This is the first and only birth control pill I have ever been on. I have been on it for 4 years. I have no issues with it. The first three months, I had the usual side effects while my body became accustomed to it. Now I am fine. My periods are the same flow but shorter. I used to be 7 days, now I am 5. I always know when I get my period. 4 days into the white pill, I get it. Once in a while, I get sore breasts, but other than that, no real side effects. I get some cramps before and during my period. I like that it’s only 9 dollars in Walmart without insurance. I don’t have any mood swings or any other crazy side effects. Overall, I do recommend it for people who want to be on birth control with periods. Makes you feel normal. It has worked flawlessly for me, and I have a lot of sex with my boyfriend. I take it regularly, although I’ve had days I forgot to take a pill, so when I remembered, I took it. Overall, I would recommend."

For Birth Control "Absolutely the worst birth control! Made me moody all the time, like I’m on my period every day. I had cramps and a headache all the time. My family and my coworkers could not figure out why I was so anxious and annoyed all the time. I had real anxiety that was growing into depression. Once I stopped using it, I felt so relieved, like I just got rid of a huge burden. I felt normal again. I know they say that all these generic birth controls of this type are the same regardless of the brand. Well, I can tell you they are not! While on TriNessa, I didn’t get any side effects. Then they terminated it and switched me to this one. I asked for a different brand other than Trisprintec, and they gave me Tri Femynor, which also worked great. But they keep running out of it too and keep switching me to Tri-Sprintec, which is always available. They should certainly terminate this brand!"

For Acne "I am nineteen, and I've been on this pill for almost two months now. I am being forced to give it another month, but I can't wait to switch! I have had horrible breakouts, weight gain, nausea, cramping even off my period, mood swings, depression...the list goes on. I have never felt more horrible. I will be trying Yasmin next. Also, if your skin isn't improving in three months, I would definitely switch birth controls."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec for almost 2 years now, and it works super well for contraception, but the first few months of taking it, I had the worst stomach aches ever! My boobs are always sore too. I’m always gassy and moody as well. I have light spotting, and sometimes it even lasts 2 months. I don’t have headaches, but it definitely worsened my cramps and made my period heavier (it is already heavy). It makes me so irritated all of the time, the side effects suck, omg. But if it didn’t have the side effects, it would be a great product."

For Birth Control "I'm new to the whole birth control thing. My first try was Seasonique, it was perfect until I got migraines out of this world after two months of taking it. I told my doctor, and she told me to give Tri-Sprintec a try. On this pill, you absolutely must eat before you take it, with Seasonique, I wasn't used to that, so I had to get into the habit of eating in the morning before I take my pills. Other than nausea and vomiting when I first started, I have no complaints. There are occasional cramps and sore breasts, but that wasn't really a bother to me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking Tri-Sprintec because the pharmacy I switched to no longer carried Tri-Previfem. My first month was fine, no changes. However, my second month on the pill, I went through a super tampon! Normally, I barely go through a light. My cramps are horrible, and I have a headache that just won't quit. My libido is also way the hell down from where it used to be. The only good news is my acne is slightly better during PMS. I am completely miserable. After I finish this pack, I am switching."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My doctor put me on this birth control 6 weeks after I had my son. I told him my periods are really heavy and the cramping (no lie) felt like I was having really bad contractions. My appointment was on a Monday, so he told me to take Sunday and Monday together, and I was already on my period for 3 days, so my check-up was a little awkward. He told me it would help with my cramps and lighten/shorten my period. Well, the next day my period was just about gone, and I had no cramping whatsoever."

For Birth Control "I have been on this BC for almost a year and have been fairly happy with the experience. My period comes the same time every month with no spotting or side effects. Though I have noticed on the very first day of my period the cramps and PMS are 5x worse than before I took the pill, but then go back to normal the rest of the week. Not sure if this is the case with others, but I thought it was strange. Nonetheless, I still have a sex drive, no extra fat than before, or more acne. It has helped a lot!"

For Acne "I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for almost a year now, and it has done wonders for my face. However, I do get 1 or 2 zits on my face whenever I'm supposed to start my period. The first 5 months, I didn't have cramps, bloating, or heavy periods, but now they're all starting to come back. I switched to Sprintec for about two months and found no good use for it, and then switched back. I think the only good thing about Tri-Sprintec is the fact that it keeps my face, back, and chest clear of zits."

For Endometriosis "So, I have been taking Tri-Sprintec for the last 8 years and have had little complaints. Yes, I gained a few pounds when I started it, but with most BC pills, you will gain weight from. However, it was a few pounds compared to Yaz, on which I gained 20 lbs. I also had the worst mood swings of my life on Yaz. So my gynecologist switched me to Tri-Sprintec about 8 years ago, and I have had very few issues on this pill. My periods are shorter, and I noticed my skin is clearer, and I am less moody on it. Also, it has helped tremendously with my endometriosis. I still get cramping before and after my period, but it is tolerable compared to when I took Yaz. I recommend Tri-Sprintec for shorter periods, less cramping, and better skin! Again, every woman's body will react differently, but I have had a pretty good reaction to Tri-Sprintec, and I have been on it for almost a decade now!"
