For Birth Control "I'm starting my 1st week of the 3rd month on Tri-Sprintec. First month my period was on time with 3 days of additional spotting. Finishing up the 2nd month now, and I have been bleeding for over 2 weeks! First it was light, then heavy (on time for expected period), since the expected end date, I have had light bright pink or red spotting for 9 days past my period. Besides frustration, I've had cramps throughout and felt feverish at times. I've also experienced bad migraines and fatigue. I've never had this level of symptoms with BC before. I was off BC for a year, and this is what I get for trying to get back on it... beware!"

For Acne "For the past few years, five years to be exact, I have struggled with acne pretty badly. The beginning of this year (February) I decided to try and do something about it. I went to my nearby Planned Parenthood and got prescribed Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I went to my local pharmacy to pick up my pills only to see they had given me Tri-Sprintec as it was moderately cheaper and 'made of the same ingredients.' I have not had many problems on this pill. No weight gain, no cramps, no nausea, but my face... it got extremely worse. My entire right side of my cheek and my chin broke out in large patches of cystic acne, only to have it clear up significantly during my placebo pill week. In fact, I have heard many stories of the brand name/generic having extremely different effects on some people. So within the next few days, I'm switching over to the brand name and hoping for the best."

For Birth Control "I got on this pill when I was 17, a little over two years ago. Still to this day, reading bad reviews of birth control scares me, but I hope I can calm some fears. I’ve had 0 bad experiences on this pill. It made my periods regular, minimal cramping and side effects (my PMS without birth control was AWFUL), and my skin is super clear. Hormones will affect everyone differently, but this pill works great for me. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a birth control option."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for about 15 years. When I got off of it, my acne exploded, my face was so bad I had to go to a dermatologist. Also got ovarian cysts and they were popping. I have been on and off this pill to have babies. I recently got off of it for 9 months, didn't get pregnant, and during that time I feel like I lost weight. Now getting on it, I feel like I just want to eat and eat. I've gained 20 lbs, and I feel like I was happier when I was not on it. Also, I don't know if it's due to my cramps, but now every time I get my period, it's like my nonstop eating goes away. I'm 30 now and not sure why I feel like I'm feeling side effects from this. I just bought a 3-pack, and I really feel like I don't want to take these anymore."

For Birth Control "I think this birth control is extremely effective. I have few mood swings before my periods come. But other than that, my face is clear, my weight is fine, mild cramping. And even better, it works."
