For Birth Control "I've been on the Tri-Estarylla birth control for about 6 years now, and it has helped with my ovarian cysts, acne (paired with spironolactone), and the heaviness of my periods. The only downfall is that the level of hormones fluctuates week to week, so I do experience PMS, fatigue, period acne, and whatever else comes with a regular period. I’m so consistent taking it, I literally have always had unprotected sex, ejaculated in, and never been pregnant or had a scare. My body is so sensitive, and this works great! Also, I’m 21, so this has worked well for my teenage years."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Tri-Sprintec for the past 2 years, then suddenly I started to get Tri-Estarylla. Don't know why. They seem to be the same medication, but they are not. This medicine made me gain 10 pounds in 1 week, I had bad cramps and overall fatigue. I wish to have my Tri-Sprintec back. Don't take this medicine, from my experience, it was horrible. I'm stuck with all this weight now."

For Birth Control "I hate this brand of pill so much-Tri-Estarylla! I've only used it because of The Pill Club. They switched me to this because it was a generic for Tri-Sprintec, but it was honestly the worst couple of months of my life. This pill makes my sex drive absolutely disappear, which is really tough on my relationship. The only upside to it is that I didn't get pregnant with it (probably because I had no sex drive!). It also makes me feel more depressed and fatigued than other brands."

For Birth Control "I was originally on Tri-Sprintec for 8 months before I was switched to Tri-Estarylla because the pharmacy I went to didn't have Tri-Sprintec. I've been on Tri-Estarylla for about 2 months now, and it's been awful. I've noticed a complete decline in my mental health; extremely exhausted, have no energy, am moody and have constant mood swings, am stressed, easily irritable, and the list goes on. I feel depressed and miserable; I haven't been able to eat well, and I don't feel capable of doing things I used to be able to do fine. I'm a student and I have no motivation to go to classes or do my work, so my grades are dropping. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. I have never felt this way ever, and I was completely fine on Tri-Sprintec. The only benefits I've gotten are I'm free of pregnancy, and it's been treating my acne, but these are not worth the complete toll it has taken on my mental health."

For Birth Control "I absolutely do NOT recommend this birth control. For some reason, my doctor's office switched me to this without even asking me. I immediately noticed that I started breaking out where, as I never did on my old birth control, Ortho. I gained weight for no reason, and my diet and exercise did not change. I also started feeling EXTREMELY lethargic and low energy despite getting more/better quality sleep, eating good foods, and exercising. It was like nothing I did was preventing me from gaining weight and feeling like rubbish! My periods were all over the place and did not lessen, either. I waited for the 3-month prescription to be up and immediately asked my provider to switch me back to what I was on previously."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Estarylla for over a year. It was my first birth control. I am a high-testosterone person with a high iron count as well. Before taking Tri-Estarylla, I had issues with acne (chest and cystic acne on my back and cheeks), fatigue, mood swings, body hair, and fluctuating weight. My periods were light, 4 days, and I never had cramps. After taking Tri-Estarylla, my acne cleared up, and my facial and chest hair virtually disappeared. However, my period became heavier, 7 days, and I experienced cramping. The biggest concern I had was that I gained 30 lbs in a year. Before BC, I never had problems with losing weight when necessary, but this post-BC weight is stubborn. Also, I experience intense anxiety episodes where I didn't before. I have more energy, but no motivation. Birth control-wise, I've never had a pregnancy scare, despite the fact that I do get lazy with the timing of my medication, but that's on me. I just wanted to share my experiences with side effects. Best of luck to y'all!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this medication for about two weeks. Since starting, I've had very increased anxiety, a dull headache every day in my temples, and restless sleep, resulting in extreme fatigue. The medication has not had any impact on my very moderate acne. I have noticed some water retention and bloating as well. I'm going to finish the month out, but the side effects I've experienced so far are not at all worth continuing to take this. I am so tired on a daily basis that I can barely function due to the inability to sleep soundly, even when taking a sleep aid."

For Acne "I've only been using it for a month, but it's been very interesting. I've also never taken birth control before, but decided to when my period pain, PMS, and irregular cycles got out of hand. Taking this medication has actually put me in a better mood and increased my libido. I do feel pretty fatigued from the initial start, though."

For Birth Control "Nurx switched me from Tri-Lo Sprintec to this Tri-Estarylla. Now, 5 months in, and each month I sink deeper into low energy and am constantly hungry. I know to take vitamin D and B to help fend off side effects, but this pill is winning. Now, I'm noticing the depression, having fits of irritability, and I ache all the time. I'm 36, and the last time I went through this mood, I was on another generic about 10 years ago. Generics changing the 'inactive' ingredients are just as important as the hormones."

For Birth Control "After being off birth control for 2 years, I decided to go back on the pill. I used to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and I loved the packaging for this BC, and my side effects were minimal. After I saw it was discontinued, I was upset. I got prescribed Estarylla as a generic version, and it’s horrible. My side effects are mood swings, fatigue, and spotting that leads to legit bleeding for 2 weeks... nope, never again. Finally, after 2 months, I’m switching."
