For Birth Control "My pharmacy automatically switched me to Tri-Estarylla after Tri-Prevefim wasn’t partnering with them, and it genuinely was the worst 3 weeks of 2020/2021, and that’s saying a lot. Although allegedly sharing the same ingredients as Tri-Prevefim, Estarylla made me legit crazy. From lack of sex drive and less lubrication to the most dramatic mood swings that only toddlers should have. Within a two-hour period at one point: I was angry, too happy, too depressed, too giggly, too sad, too frustrated, and topped it off with crying the night away. I might as well get an Oscar for my performance. Jokes aside, please do not subject yourself to this misery."

For Birth Control "Within the first couple of weeks of taking it, I started to notice a spike in my anxiety. I thought my body just needed a little more time to adjust. As I continued, I became much more irritable continuously, and my sex drive completely disappeared. My periods were all over the place. And suddenly all I wanted to do was stay home. Plus, I started to obsess and have meltdowns over things that completely didn’t matter. Once I stopped taking it, within a week my mood and everything was back to normal. I highly don’t recommend this medicine."

For Birth Control "This is the very first birth control I’ve ever taken, and it’s been a month and a week. I haven’t really had any of the negative side effects everyone else seems to be having. The first couple of weeks, I was a mess emotionally and didn’t feel well, but once I got over that, all seemed to be fine. I suffer from pretty bad anxiety, and I’ve noticed after being on this pill, I seem to be a lot more calm than I usually am. Everyone is different, so give it a shot!"

For Birth Control "I know this has a load of negative reviews, but you need to realize that everyone's experience is different! I was super nervous to take Tri-Estarylla because my body has always had negative reactions to every medication ever, so you should at least give this a try and don’t let the negative reviews scare you too much. I have been on this medication for a month now. I was prescribed by Pill Club to take it because my primary care physician was trying to put me on Nexplanon, which I did not want to be on. The first 2 weeks that I was on Tri-Estarylla were really hard: constant nausea, threw up every single thing that I ate, mood swings, depression, every horrible thing you can think of. But these last 2 weeks though, I feel like I’m on no medication at all. I’m not throwing up anymore, I feel happier, everything has finally lightened up. I’ve tried loads of birth control, but none of them only took 2 weeks to stop hurting me, so I would completely recommend this."

For Birth Control "I was originally on Tri-Sprintec for 8 months before I was switched to Tri-Estarylla because the pharmacy I went to didn't have Tri-Sprintec. I've been on Tri-Estarylla for about 2 months now, and it's been awful. I've noticed a complete decline in my mental health; extremely exhausted, have no energy, am moody and have constant mood swings, am stressed, easily irritable, and the list goes on. I feel depressed and miserable; I haven't been able to eat well, and I don't feel capable of doing things I used to be able to do fine. I'm a student and I have no motivation to go to classes or do my work, so my grades are dropping. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. I have never felt this way ever, and I was completely fine on Tri-Sprintec. The only benefits I've gotten are I'm free of pregnancy, and it's been treating my acne, but these are not worth the complete toll it has taken on my mental health."

For Birth Control "I recently switched to this pill about 4 weeks ago. It was fine until week 2 when I started to get super emotional about everything and get into horrible mood swings. After 4 weeks now, I have severe anxiety over everything, I am depressed for no reason, and I have constant negative thoughts. I am also constantly jittery and worried about everything, and my headaches have gotten so much worse. Horrible, horrible birth control. I would not recommend this to any women."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on this pill for three years! The first two were great! It has completely helped my heavy ten-day period turn into only three days. It was great for my acne as well! I loved it for the longest time until about a year ago, it stopped working as well. I would have my period two weeks early, and it would be super heavy and last ten days again. My acne would be so bad that I would be embarrassed to go out. I never was depressed before, but this past year I found myself being way more emotional than normal. This week I decided to take a chance and switch medicines, so I am now onto a new journey."

For Birth Control "My experience with this drug has actually been pretty good. I did have mild acne breakouts and some bloating and water weight gain. These all went away pretty quickly, though. The only major side effect I've had is significant bleeding between periods. However, I had fewer and lighter cramps and no ovarian pain like I dealt with before, and no depression/mood swings or any of the other side effects that other users have experienced."

For Acne "I have been using this birth control for around 9 months, primarily for hormonal acne, along with spironolactone. It’s not the best at clearing up the skin, as I still get pretty persistent acne on my cheeks and jaw. I have not had any issues with my period while using this and have even noticed a lighter flow and fewer cramps, which is always a plus. However, I have experienced ridiculous mood swings that are completely unprovoked. Some days I will be in a terrible mood for no reason, or my emotions will fluctuate heavily. This is the biggest reason why I will be looking to try an alternative brand. I have been using birth control pills for 8 years, and I have noticed that this particular brand does not sit well with me in terms of emotional well-being."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Estarylla for over a year. It was my first birth control. I am a high-testosterone person with a high iron count as well. Before taking Tri-Estarylla, I had issues with acne (chest and cystic acne on my back and cheeks), fatigue, mood swings, body hair, and fluctuating weight. My periods were light, 4 days, and I never had cramps. After taking Tri-Estarylla, my acne cleared up, and my facial and chest hair virtually disappeared. However, my period became heavier, 7 days, and I experienced cramping. The biggest concern I had was that I gained 30 lbs in a year. Before BC, I never had problems with losing weight when necessary, but this post-BC weight is stubborn. Also, I experience intense anxiety episodes where I didn't before. I have more energy, but no motivation. Birth control-wise, I've never had a pregnancy scare, despite the fact that I do get lazy with the timing of my medication, but that's on me. I just wanted to share my experiences with side effects. Best of luck to y'all!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this as a generic replacement for my original prescription 3 months into trying birth control to regulate my period. Previfem wasn’t too bad, but I did notice a lot of changes. When I got Tri-Estarylla instead, I just assumed it had a similar adjustment period. However, I’ve been on Tri-Estarylla now for two years and 3 months. Since starting this medication, I’ve become depressed, anxious, constantly nauseous, constantly tired, and constantly having headaches of varying severity. There were many days when I would avoid driving because my headaches were so bad that I had problems seeing and focusing. I have also gained 38 lbs during this time, which has not helped at all with all the other issues this drug caused. I’ve become an emotional mess with mood swings that make no sense at all. After taking it, I cry out of nowhere, for no reason at all. Everyone is different, but I do not recommend. I followed instructions to a T and never skipped a day."

For Birth Control "Contrary to the negative reviews on this birth control, I actually had a pretty positive experience. I had great skin, my periods were very regulated and short, I had some weight gain (I am skinny and did want to gain weight, so if you don't want weight gain, I wouldn't suggest this). I think I only experienced mood swings during the first few months of taking this. I also experienced some migraines, but those only lasted 2-3 months as well. I was always bloated, but I'm not sure if that was due to the birth control or if it was just my diet. The only other thing I didn't like was that this gave me a very low sex drive. I usually had a higher sex drive the week of the sugar pills, so I assume this is because of the birth control."

For Birth Control "So I know everyone (including me) will end up scrolling down and reading the comments. REMEMBER THAT EVERY WOMAN'S BODY IS DIFFERENT AND WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE!! As for me, I’ve always had painful periods and was irregular ever since I started. My cycles would range from 21 to 50, and I honestly thought I had a real issue and I wouldn’t be able to get it fixed. I’ve tried several natural remedies since I usually don’t like using chemicals and “man-made” medicines. So for my experience, the first 3 months were terrible for me: irregular spotting, acne breakouts (although my skin has always had acne), PMS, and mood swings. I was getting frustrated with it and was even tempted to stop taking it. After the third month, everything seemed to fall in place. My periods were able to regulate themselves. Although my periods will be just as painful from time to time as I was before. But I found Tri-Estarylla birth control worth it, also being my first one."

For Birth Control "Switched from the generic form of Junel 1/20 (was on it for 6 months). I've been on Tri-Estarylla for about 2 months now. So far, no significant side effects besides bloating and weight gain (that could be a new relationship though, lol). Junel 1/20 gave me intense side effects such as acne/rash, depression, mood swings, loss of sex drive, bloating 24/7, and breakthrough bleeding for 2 out of 4 weeks a month. With Tri-Estarylla, my period is heavier though and lasts 4 days mid-placebo pills with cramps starting the last week of active pills all the way through the end of the placebo week. Haven't seen much improvement in acne, but I haven't been on it for too long to see that. My sex drive has improved, and I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding or mood swings. My discharge is much heavier/thicker, but it's white and not dark brown like with my last birth control. No pregnancy scares, and this is the only form of birth control my partner and I use."

For Birth Control "I've been on it for about 6 months. I had bad mood swings during the first week and a half, but after that, it definitely helped me balance out my emotions and my weight. I had to get off of it for two weeks because I ran out, but after getting off, I felt terrible. I lost weight and my appetite, but I'm back on it, and again, I'm a week and a half in, and I don't feel nearly as bad as I did when I first started. I feel so much better, but what works for me might not work for you."

For Birth Control "After being off birth control for 2 years, I decided to go back on the pill. I used to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and I loved the packaging for this BC, and my side effects were minimal. After I saw it was discontinued, I was upset. I got prescribed Estarylla as a generic version, and it’s horrible. My side effects are mood swings, fatigue, and spotting that leads to legit bleeding for 2 weeks... nope, never again. Finally, after 2 months, I’m switching."

For Birth Control "I only took this medication for two weeks before it drove me so crazy I had to get off of it. It was my first-ever birth control, and within four days, I was already exhausted, breaking out like crazy, experiencing bad cramping, and my depressive symptoms that I had been doing well with for months came back full force. My boyfriend thought I was having a breakdown, I was so emotional and moody. I had zero motivation to do anything and no attention span. Definitely not worth it. Do a different generic or a brand name."

For Birth Control "I haven't had any problems on this birth control. I have gained weight, but I don't know if that is related to the birth control since they usually change them up depending on pharmacies, but lately, it has been Tri-Estarylla. I've never had any mood swings or loss of sex drive from this! I've also never had any abnormal bleeding."

For Birth Control "I’ve been using this birth control for about 4 months now. My doctor switched my prescription to Tri-Estarylla because I started to cramp with my other birth control. Worst experience ever. My depression and anxiety are at an all-time high. Before using this medication, I never struggled with depression and was a very happy person. Now I struggle to even get out of bed most days. My brain feels cloudy, and I find myself having suicidal thoughts often. My mood swings are out of control, and my sex drive is gone. My periods are heavy as well. The only good thing from this birth control is that I haven’t gotten pregnant. I know the experience is different for everyone, but after reading other reviews from women who are experiencing the same symptoms, I know for a fact that it’s the birth control that’s causing all of this. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone."

For Birth Control "My gyno put in an Ortho Tri-Cyclen prescription for me at CVS, and they gave me Tri-Estarylla instead. Fine. I've taken Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Trinessa, and Tri-Sprintec and had no issues with adult acne. I took it for about a week and a half, and it was awful. The first week it was okay, but the second week... all hell broke loose. I do struggle with anxiety, which does rear its ugly head now and again, but this was bad. Really, really bad. I went through a very rough patch at the beginning of 2016 with bad insomnia and rumination. Last week, it came back-mood swings, crying, emotional outbursts, little sleep, rumination, etc. I stopped taking it and now feel normal."

For Birth Control "So, I started taking this Tri-Estarylla back in December. The first month I didn't notice anything different, and I didn't expect to because I just started taking it, so the first month was fine, nothing crazy. The second month in, I had severe mood changes (angry, upset, raged) for weeks. Then the acne really started coming in, I always struggled with cystic acne and the pain of it, this birth control had it come in full swing for weeks. It sucked, but it wasn't anything I was concerned about. I dealt with it, and thankfully, it cleared up. Then the spotting happened. When I say I spotted for a literally whole month, I mean it. It was very uncomfortable and awkward at the time. I've never been on another birth control, so this was my first one. I was panicked and disheartened the whole second month. I decided to stay on it for a third month because that's when the BC should be in full swing. And I am so glad I did. I'm speaking only for myself, but my acne cleared up almost 90%. I have no more spotting."
