For Birth Control "This pill has the worst side effect ever! Gave me a lot of mouth sores that are very painful, it reached the point where I can’t eat, and my face got swollen. I am a regular 28-day cycle, and my period lasts only for 3 days, the max is 5, but with this pill I’m bleeding more than 10 days, and it looks like fresh blood. The depression is severe too, having a lot of crying spells. I stopped taking it just before the week of placebo because the mouth sores are worsening and the depression too. I know some pills work for different types of bodies, so I guess this pill is not for me. No good benefits and all bad side effects."

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Sprintec, which worked really great for me for a year, and was switched, without being informed, to the generic Tri-Linyah, which gave me awful migraines. Then again, without being informed, I was switched to Tri-Estarylla. It was no big deal at first, but then I started experiencing swelling in my mouth/gums after the first week. Nothing else in my daily life/diet had changed, so I Googled the symptoms and read that it could be due to the hormonal changes. Then I started experiencing breakthrough bleeding like I was having a light period. This was on the second week of my first pack. I called the pharmacy and asked if I could switch back to the Tri-Sprintec and told them I would just pay the difference for what worked for me instead of just getting stuck with what insurance would cover. I also asked that I be informed anytime my medications switch. They said it was the same thing, but there must be something different that caused my side effects. Not sure how effective as BC."

For Birth Control "I’ve just completed my first package, and I must say I’ve bled every day of each pill. On week 4, it got worse! I’ve lost 15 lb since I’ve started it, and it’s absolutely the worst. I do not recommend."

For Birth Control "Was on this for two and a half weeks. I became an absolute emotional wreck. Also, I bled very heavily for two weeks straight. I ended up having to go to the ER for this week. Became very lightheaded. Never experienced this before and will never take this again."

For Birth Control "Switched from the generic form of Junel 1/20 (was on it for 6 months). I've been on Tri-Estarylla for about 2 months now. So far, no significant side effects besides bloating and weight gain (that could be a new relationship though, lol). Junel 1/20 gave me intense side effects such as acne/rash, depression, mood swings, loss of sex drive, bloating 24/7, and breakthrough bleeding for 2 out of 4 weeks a month. With Tri-Estarylla, my period is heavier though and lasts 4 days mid-placebo pills with cramps starting the last week of active pills all the way through the end of the placebo week. Haven't seen much improvement in acne, but I haven't been on it for too long to see that. My sex drive has improved, and I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding or mood swings. My discharge is much heavier/thicker, but it's white and not dark brown like with my last birth control. No pregnancy scares, and this is the only form of birth control my partner and I use."

For Birth Control "I had been taking Tri-Previfem for a few months and had no issues with it. I went to CVS and was given Tri-Estarylla, didn’t know much about it, so I decided to give it a try. Well…. I have a desk job and have never had any issues with my legs. While yes, I understand that your body can change, it’s awfully strange that I am retaining fluid starting below my knees down to my ankles. They swell so bad, and I plan on talking to my doctor about this. I haven’t had any issues with any other birth control. More recently, my cycles are regular and last 3 maybe 5 days, then stop. I don’t have bad cramps. Since taking Tri-Estarylla, I’m on day 7 and still bleeding. Some days it’s light (use a panty liner), then BOOM I need to put a pad back on! Lastly, certain food smells make me gag, and nope I’m not pregnant. Again, none of this is normal for me. I have a 90-day supply, currently on the first pack, and will not be continuing this!"

For Acne "I'm on my 2nd pack. I am mainly on birth control to clear my skin. Since I have started, my acne on my face has gotten so much worse, especially around my mouth and chin. Cheeks are worse too. Trying to be patient because I've read it can take 3+ months to clear acne. It's just a little discouraging. I will say, I haven't gained weight or had breakthrough bleeding!"

For Birth Control "After being off birth control for 2 years, I decided to go back on the pill. I used to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and I loved the packaging for this BC, and my side effects were minimal. After I saw it was discontinued, I was upset. I got prescribed Estarylla as a generic version, and it’s horrible. My side effects are mood swings, fatigue, and spotting that leads to legit bleeding for 2 weeks... nope, never again. Finally, after 2 months, I’m switching."

For Birth Control "Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo was discontinued, so I tried this Tri-Estarylla. I kept giving it a chance, thinking that my body needed to adjust. It got worse, terrible headaches that lasted all day and every day. Prior, my health, acne, and bleeding were all normal. Now, I was bleeding randomly, getting my period early and spotting, terrible cramps along with heavy bleeding every other month. So heavy that I thought I was miscarrying. I didn’t realize why I was lacking motivation initially. I was bloated not only during my period but throughout the entire month. The last straw was the huge, painful pimples all over my face, near my chin, jawline, cheeks, hairline, and small whiteheads on my back and chest that left scars. This was it, I couldn’t even stand to look in the mirror anymore without disgust. This shouldn’t be on the market. Truly, the headaches alone kept me from living and enjoying my life. Get off this, don’t try. If you’re having similar symptoms, they probably won’t go away."

For Birth Control "I haven't had any problems on this birth control. I have gained weight, but I don't know if that is related to the birth control since they usually change them up depending on pharmacies, but lately, it has been Tri-Estarylla. I've never had any mood swings or loss of sex drive from this! I've also never had any abnormal bleeding."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Just awful! Was switched to this because the pharmacy didn't want to special order my regular BC, Tri-Previfem. Never ever had an issue with Tri-Previfem. This has made me bleed more than I ever did without birth control! Plus, I have fibromyalgia, and this sent me in a tailspin of awful pain and flare-ups. So, do not take if you already have inflammation issues. Also aggravated my lymphedema really bad. I don't care what the package says, it's not the same dosage or formulation. I've taken birth control all my life, and NEVER did I have issues until this came along. Stay away from it!"

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me from Tri Previfem to Tri Estarylla about 6 months ago, and it's been HORRIBLE!!! I started birth control about 15 years ago and have had to undergo changes in the medications as others have discontinued, but this is by far the worst experience! My flow had doubled in heaviness and lasts for more days. It's about 7 full days of major bleeding, running through a couple super tampons a day. I used to have maybe 3 days of heavy flow before, and by the 5th, it was pretty much gone. The cramping is unbelievable, and I have to imagine they are similar to labor pains. I always cramped before, but usually for just the first and 2nd day of my period. Now, it's the entire time and gets progressively MORE painful each day of my period. It comes in intense waves of pain, where it literally feels like my uterus, low back, and the inside of my vagina are in spasm - like a Charlie horse - so painful I have to hold my breath with each contraction. DONT TAKE THIS!"
