For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I’ve ever taken. When I first started taking it, I had stomachaches, backaches, I felt like puking, and had headaches. My mood swings were so bad I’ve never ever felt this sad before and anxious. This will be my 2nd month taking it, and I just have 2-3 more pills to take. What I've noticed in the 2nd month is my breasts have been sore, and the pain hasn’t gone away. I also feel a bit more bloated, and now, after today, I’ve decided to stop taking them and go back to NuvaRing. Being depressed with headaches is what Sprintec is giving me, and I thought it would go away by now."

For Birth Control "I was 17 and switched from the highest dose estrogen patch (to increase estrogen levels) to Sprintec, and finally got my period after never having it. I initially thought it worked fine, I never got acne (never had it to begin with) and could track my periods down to the day it would start and end. On the other hand, periods were the worst. Very heavy periods with a lot of clots, horrible cramps, and only a few cases of mood swings. My period only lasts maybe 4 days total, though. I am now switching since my periods were so bad. In terms of pregnancy prevention, it did its job, even with no other use of contraception, like condoms. It also made me very dry and lowered my sex drive. A good perk is that it made my boobs grow maybe a cup size up! They're still slightly tender at all times, though. Other than that, it's an okay choice for BC. I don't have anything else to compare it to, though, but for my first time ever using an oral birth control tablet, not terrible."

For Birth Control "Sprintec is the first birth control I've ever been on. I have some side effects like cramping, the nausea gets bad, back pain, and breast tenderness. Other than that, it works really well for me. Helped with my period coming on time also."

For Ovarian Cysts "It helps with the heavy bleeding and long periods, but that's it! I get so sick to my stomach on these. I have real bad PMS and sore breasts and nipples, and it doesn't do anything for my skin or hair."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Sprintec for about 5 months now, and I've had severe changes in my mood and mental state. I used to be a really happy person, but now almost everything makes me burst into tears or lash out. I've gained about 10 pounds just in the last 5 months, and I haven't even changed my eating habits (which were healthy to begin with). My breasts have gotten bigger and are almost always swollen and sore. The only reason I started taking this brand of birth control was because of how cheap it is. I'm going to switch to Microgestin 1.5/30 and see how I do on that."

"It's the first and only birth control I've ever been on, and I love this pill! The first week after I started it, I had bellyaches, and my breasts were sore. But after that week, I haven't had a single problem since. I've been on it for almost a year now. It makes me extremely sexually aroused most of the time (which I'm okay with because I used to lack sex drive), keeps my periods less crampy and lighter, and it has definitely caused my breasts to fill out. Not that they needed it. I went from a 36C to a 36DD. Only a couple of pounds gained, but not in any area other than my chest that I've noticed. I am definitely a promoter of this pill, but of course, other bodies will take it differently."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for about a month now and started having breakthrough bleeding 2 weeks ago, even though my period isn’t due for a week. Also, I've been having painful breasts ever since starting it, I feel like I’m about to lactate since they are so swollen."

For Birth Control "I have had the absolute worst symptoms on this pill. Before starting birth control, my periods were extremely regular, and I only ever cramped the day before starting my period and the day of. Now, I have about two periods a month, and my breasts are extremely painful and swollen. I've been sticking it out because I've read everywhere that it usually subsides within three months, but I've been on the pill for almost five months and my breast tenderness and swelling have not subsided. I can't even sleep on my stomach anymore. I have also gained weight on this pill (I am always hungry), have constant cramps and back pain, and I started getting huge pimples (have never had acne before starting the pill). I am about to change to something else."

For Birth Control "Birth control literally just reacts differently to everyone’s body since we are all different. I’ve been on Sprintec for almost 4 months now. The first time I got on it, I threw up. I now just take it later at night and eat something really small, and I haven’t thrown up since or felt sick. Not pregnant yet. However, I have noticed that lately my appetite for food is so high! I’m super hungry lately. I’m not complaining because I love food, lol. But I’ve gained 5 pounds this last month, but it’s just motivating me to go to the gym now, which I’m totally okay with because I want to go. My boobs have gotten slightly bigger, so that could be a pro too. My sex drive has not decreased, I think it’s increased, tbh. My periods now last 4 days instead of 7. They come at the same time every month. I used to get headaches all the time, and now I don’t at all. It cleared my acne for the first month, but I’m slowly getting it back, I just need to start washing my face again."

For Birth Control "I'm 34 and was prescribed this pill for irregular periods. I've only been on it for a week, and I'd rather deal with bleeding for a month straight than the side effects that I'm already experiencing: *extremely bloated, *had a couple of painful pimples pop up on my face and my chest, *have sore and swollen breasts, *increased appetite with 3 lbs. gained weight, *and the worst of all, have zero sex drive and am a psycho bitch to my husband who does not deserve to be treated like that. I'm throwing the rest of them straight in the garbage."

For Birth Control "I started taking Sprintec about 3 weeks ago, and my appetite has also gone down-which is a good thing. But the biggest side effect I've noticed for myself is that my breasts are very sore. I was starting to trip out because that was one of my signs of pregnancy with my two children-but after reading the reviews, I see that this is happening to other women as well. I guess I'll know for sure next week whether I get my period or not. I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding or anything like that, or cramping. I am prone to yeast infections but haven't gotten one so far. I hope this doesn't make it worse for me on that issue, like I've read it's done for a lot of other women."

For Birth Control "I'm 20 years old. This is my first experience using birth control. I was prescribed Sprintec to help lighten my heavy periods and relieve me of the excruciating pain from cramps that came with it. I'm at the end of my first month, and it's worked miracles for me! My period is normal to light, and my cramps are finally bearable. I did notice a change in my appetite, which caused me to lose some weight. I'm not as hungry anymore, so I have to make myself eat. Within the second day of taking Sprintec, my breasts became super tender, and that lasted about 3 weeks. They've also gotten bigger, which I can't complain about! Overall, I love Sprintec, it's cheap and works wonders for me."

For Ovarian Cysts "I was put on Sprintec after being diagnosed with PCOS. I'm 24, and it’s my first time taking birth control ever, so I didn’t know what to expect. Sprintec has made me feel so awful. It’s my fourth month on it, and I'm just now getting all the side effects. My boobs are so sore it’s actually painful! I wake up feeling like they were used as punching bags. Not exaggerating. Throughout the day, the pain relieves some, but the next morning it’s the same thing. I’m depressed and SO emotional all the time. I cry and yell about everything, my sex drive and lady juices are literally 0%, which was never an issue before. I actually feel sorry for my boyfriend. You feel like you’re not in control of your own emotions when you have these outbursts. It makes me really dizzy some days, others not so much. Luckily, I haven’t gained weight. Physically, this birth control is meh, but mentally... it’s so exhausting. I will probably decide to stop taking it once I finish this pack."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So it has been a month, and I am on my 25th day. What I can say is, yes, it does control my period. My skin seems to be better than it was, although, my breasts are coming out of my bra, and nipples are extremely sensitive. I've managed to gain 7-10 lbs (I was also sick at home for two weeks and did nothing but stay in bed), but aside from that, my breasts were so sore. Today I woke up, and it seems like they had deflated overnight, although still slightly sore. Experiencing a headache that won't go away, but I'm assuming it's because of the period. Anyways, hoping the weight will drop and that it's all water or something."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control I have ever had. It was also my first birth control I had ever tried. I was super emotional and super depressed. Cried over everything... so not like me. I gained a ton of weight. I am a physically fit person who likes to exercise, and this birth control was so not for me. My breasts always hurt, super bloated, and I felt exhausted... only good side effects were no pregnancies and breasts grew larger."

For Birth Control "I started Sprintec in hopes of clearing my acne and preventing pregnancy. During my first month, I felt uncontrollably emotional, lonely, and depressed, especially on the days leading up to my period and while on it. I had cramps, and my cycle lasted longer than usual. Nothing too unbearable. The second month, I noticed my skin improved, but I still had breakouts. My mood also improved after the first month. I am now on my third pack. My breasts have gone up a cup size, and they’re almost always tender now. Overall, it does its job at preventing pregnancy and reducing acne."

For Ovarian Cysts "Past: I started Sprintec at around the age of 14. I was not nauseous, I believe my breasts were tender and my appetite did change. However, I stopped (since I could not keep up with it when I was younger). Period was regulated, even when I first stopped birth control, and cramps sufficiently stopped. This year: I started back on it in around January, I’ve already stopped because when I first started, I was nauseous 24/7. I always felt the need to throw up, and thinking of certain foods made me want to throw up even more. After I stopped, my period regulated sufficiently, no cramping. Now: After about a month of not taking it, I decided to try again, this time I am still very nauseous (only around night time mainly, it usually goes away when I lay down). My breasts have been really sore for about two days, and my appetite has changed a little. Haven’t had a period lately, cramps have stopped."

For Birth Control "I used to take Sprintec after I was having problems with the seasonal birth control. My doctor put me on Sprintec. I quit taking it because I had no need for it at the time. I started it up again and had my annual visit with my doctor. I had high blood pressure. It also gives me the worst anxiety. I puke weekly on it, get horrible headaches, and my boobs hurt so much I have to have a pillow just for them at night. For not getting pregnant, it works, but I don’t think the side effects are worth it."

For Birth Control "While only being on this BC for two cycles, I had constant cystic acne breakouts. I constantly felt tired and fatigued. I would get large cystic pimples that would make that whole area of my face hurt. Then, after a week or two, the large bump would go away and leave large dark purplish/red marks in the area that they were. Additionally, my boobs hurt and grew this entire time. I’m already an athletic build with larger boobs as is. I didn’t really want them to get bigger, not a big downfall, however, when they constantly hurt, bigger boobs don’t really matter. I didn’t experience weight gain, although my mood in the first cycle was everywhere. Between angry and sad, I felt unpredictable. Another complaint about this birth control was constantly feeling constipated, even with taking fiber and stool softeners. I’m starting a different birth control today that’s lower dose, so I hope it only takes a week or two for most of these symptoms to subside, but I can’t wait to stop taking it."

For Birth Control "Been on 3 different types of birth control this past year, giving each one 3 months to adjust to my body. This one has been the worst yet... instead of my periods getting lighter, they now last 7 days with severe cramps for the first couple of days. The third month, my breasts inflated and were so painful. I literally couldn't wear a bra with an underwire. This past month, I also began feeling nauseous, faint, constipated, exhausted-yet can't sleep, and just started experiencing some blood in my discharge. I still have 1 more week of the pill before the inactive pills."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Very good experience. I had tried many other pills, and this is the only one that doesn't upset my stomach. I was so happy about that because I have gastritis. Also, my mood stabilized, which was the main reason I was put on this medicine because I have extreme PMS. I gained 4 lbs the first 2 weeks, but I watched what I was eating and went back to normal weight. No extra pimples, some blood in the middle of the cycle, and tender breasts. Overall, good."

"I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Started taking this medication 3 full months ago. The first month and a half was very brutal. Constant mood shifts, swollen and painful breasts, bad acne, bloated, and painful cramps throughout. It honestly felt like it was the first day of my period during that entire time. And then around the 2-month mark everything clicked for me. My acne cleared up, I have been slowly losing weight, my periods aren’t as painful, my depression symptoms have gotten much better. Upside: this is the best I have been feeling physically and mentally in the past 10 years. Downside: it takes about 2 months for the pills to actually start working, without these side effects, but my gynecologist did give me this warning."

For Birth Control "I just started this two weeks ago. I was having bad mood swings and missing periods, so I was put on the pill. I have had good experiences so far. Only complaint is that my boobs hurt a lot. Like all the time. I can't tell if they are growing or just hurting. Also, I've had some pains in my uterus, but I believe it's because the pill is doing all that nonsense, thickening the walls and all that jazz. Everything is good! I haven't gotten my first period on it yet, I should next week. I'm really hoping my PMS won't be as bad on the pill as it was before."
