For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Like the other users, I had absolutely no sex life for two reasons: like them, my heavy period came back, lasting longer than before with large clots, and my sex drive was pretty much non-existent. I was switched to Apri today, so we will see how that goes!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sprintec for just over a week, and I’m suffering the most severe depression of my life! I’m 32 years old, and this is the third different form of birth control I’ve used. The Depo shot had me bleeding every day for a year, the other pill type I used caused me severe morning sickness every day for a year. And now this one has me in a perpetual state of negativity. I’ve cried for three days, I have no appetite, and I can’t find joy in anything. I’m feeling like I want to die! Is this normal?! My experiences so far with birth control have been horrible and make me terrified to try another one."

For Birth Control "Absolutely terrible! I was hospitalized for a severe migraine that has lasted a whole month now! So irritable, sharp ovary pain, so much blood. Don't waste your time! Disgusting excuse for birth control!"

For Birth Control "Sprintec gave me a yeast infection, constant bleeding, and loss of appetite, as well as sex drive. I haven't had a yeast infection in over ten years, so I know it was the Sprintec because I got the infection after the first 2 weeks of using it. I have used Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo in the past with very little side effects. I thought it would be the same as Ortho. I am definitely switching back, even if it costs more."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been taking Sprintec pill for seven months now, and I have not had any problems until now. I missed my pills for December and started back in January, and now I am on my period for the 16th day. My cramps and bleeding are so bad. I stopped the pill altogether this past week, still, no luck, my period is just as bad. When will it stop!? I'm so tired and stressed out over this!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I was put on this drug after being diagnosed with PCOS. It did give me stomach upset for the first month, and my periods seem longer (a whole 7 days versus 3-5 without it), but the bleeding is less intense. It does seem to make period cramps worse for me, versus cramps while not on birth control. I feel like it has helped with the crazy hormonal mental/mood aspect, and it's helped a lot with hot flashes and sweating. I'm trying to give it 3 months (it has been about 2 months) before I give up on it, because the cramps are pretty severe to the point I get nauseous, so I'm wondering if it's the right one for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for 9 months (switched from Generess Fe). For the entire first month, I experienced horrible stomach cramps, extreme bloating to where my lower abdomen felt like a rock-hard balloon, headaches (I never get headaches), as well as dizziness. I called my doctor after two weeks and told her I couldn't handle it. She told me to finish out the month to give my body a chance to regulate. After that initial month, I have had absolutely no symptoms. My sex drive has been back to normal, and my personality is happy and normal again since switching to Sprintec! Also, my periods are regular and I have very minimal bleeding, cramping, etc. Overall, I would recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "Horrible mood swings since starting the pill. Emotionally numb, headaches, constant anxiety, nonexistent sex drive. I was switched to this pill by my doc because I had breakthrough bleeding on my other pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I got put on this birth control about three months ago by my gyno to help with heavy, irregular, and frequent periods caused by a submucosal uterine fibroid. I am 39 years old, if it helps to know that. Anyway, the first three months on this are a real trial. Bleeding every day. Sometimes heavy, sometimes light, sometimes all day, sometimes only for a few hours in the day. I take the pill continuously to skip bleeding altogether. I finally got so fed up with the bleeding that I took a week off from the hormone pills and started the pills back up a week ago and haven't bled since. Not sure if my lining was unstable and just needed a break from the hormones. Hoping the bleeding doesn't come back. I really want this to work since the only other option is surgery and an IUD, with the chance the fibroid will come back again (I had part of this fibroid removed two years ago). Other than the constant bleeding, I never had any other physical or mental changes usually associated with birth control."

For Birth Control "I really like Sprintec! I was previously on LoLoestrin, and that was horrible for me. I had tons of breakthrough bleeding, cramps, mood swings, etc. It was just too low of a dose for me personally. Sprintec has been great, and my period is much lighter and more predictable. It also did wonders for my skin. I haven't noticed any weight gain or mood changes. Everybody will react differently to birth control, of course, but this one has been great for me."

For Birth Control "I mean, it was okay for the first three weeks. I have not experienced many physical changes, I have breakthrough bleeding, but that’s normal. After the three weeks, I felt kind of anxious or sad at times. I’ve been on it for about a month and a half. I’m probably going to try a different kind of pill soon instead of suffering with being sad and anxious because before I was a pretty happy-go-lucky individual. I have also never used birth control before this."

For Ovarian Cysts "After being on Estarylla for a few months, I was switched to Sprintec. I was on the first week of my second pack when I realized the new symptoms I was having were related to this med. I started to feel bloated, nauseous, and cramps all the time. I also noticed dry skin around my chin. Little to no sex drive, dryness during intercourse, and fatigue. I experienced what I think is breakthrough bleeding three times while I was on this pill. I also lost 5 lbs, but I usually lose weight while on the pill-any BC pill. I personally did not like Sprintec. It is not for me. Everyone's body reacts differently, I only suggest remembering the date you started this pill and paying close attention to any changes in mood or body. Good luck."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Sprintec for 4 months. I am also hypothyroid and on Synthroid. I was on Nuvaring and getting pregnant. Only good thing about Sprintec is it prevents pregnancy. The bad symptoms include horrible cramping, mood swings, loss of appetite due to nausea, nightmares, and acne. I have heavy bleeding. I am in my 40s. I have my ups and downs, but never like a few nights ago. I started by picking fights with my husband for no reason. I also imagined that someone was watching me when I was alone one night. I had to call my best friend to come over and calm me down because my husband was out of state on business. She is an OB/GYN nurse and said maybe it was the birth control and to call my doctor. I was afraid for our daughter, not like I’d hurt her, but myself. She was asleep in her room. Just horrible. I will never take this ever again. I will see my doctor in a week and may tell her no to birth control, given my age and thyroid issues, and go back to condoms."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for about a month now and started having breakthrough bleeding 2 weeks ago, even though my period isn’t due for a week. Also, I've been having painful breasts ever since starting it, I feel like I’m about to lactate since they are so swollen."

For Birth Control "I was on Sprintec for over 2 years, and I was satisfied with it. I changed over from Yaz after I started having breakthrough bleeding on a regular basis. It stopped the breakthrough bleeding, plus my periods were only about 3-4 days long, with the heavier days being very mild. No cramping. My face would break out a little with my cycle, but it was manageable. I did have some mood fluctuations as well with my cycle. Of note, when I went to have an IUD placed due to the inability to take my pill on time every day, we did find incidentally during the routine ultrasound to place the IUD that I had a large ovarian cyst. Estrogen is supposed to suppress these cysts, so this might be of interest to someone looking at Sprintec to help with cysts."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was put on this pill because I have no insurance and needed something to help with my heavy periods. Everything was fine for the first month and a half, and then halfway through my second pill pack, I started bleeding, and it lasted 17 days, stopped for 5, and started again! The day it started again, I switched to a new pill. Also, during those 17 days, I experienced the worst cramps I've ever had, was constantly nauseous, and had really bad mood swings. I don't know anyone that's had a good experience on this pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been taking Sprintec for 3 months as prescribed after a surgical abortion as a birth control/period regulator. Before starting Sprintec, my periods were on time but extremely heavy. I had been on Lo Minastrin for a few years prior to starting Sprintec and had a ton of success with that, but my insurance stopped covering it, so I had to change prescriptions. I'm on my last few days of month 3, and I have been bleeding every day for the past two and a half months. It's beyond normal spotting - I use up a super plus tampon twice a day. On my normal periods, I use four to five super plus tampons. I thought something was very wrong with me, and I'm still going to see a doctor, but reading these reviews leads me to believe it's just a really horrible medication."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I switched to this pill from Jolessa (Seasonale generic) because I was sick of the non-stop bleeding. Sprintec did stop the bleeding within two days or so, and I haven't had any problems with it for about two weeks. However, near the end of the second week, I had some spotting. I kept taking the pill at the same time every day, but all this did was make the bleeding worse. I've already ruined three pairs of underwear and one of my pajamas because this pill gave me the heaviest breakthrough bleed I have ever had. Every morning, I would wake up with excessive bleeding. It was that terrible and made me anxious every time I left the house that I would bleed through my clothes. I wish I had never taken this pill."

For Birth Control "I started using Sprintec last April. I have breakthrough bleeding for the first two months, nauseous, terrible mood swings, and acne breakouts all over my forehead, mostly up to my chin and cheek. I had my doctor's appointment for reevaluation, but she said it is normal, and the concentration was on my forehead, which is typically not a nature of hormonal acne. After three months of religiously taking the pill, the acne just got worse, and I am stopping the pill and changing my doctor as well."

For Birth Control "Sprintec was good for me at first, but I started having lots of breakthrough bleeding, and period days would change from 5 days to 7, then to 8. Sometimes I would get 2 periods in one month. I had ovarian cysts, and they didn’t help them go away. My acne would get good, then get horrible. This pill wasn’t for me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Sprintec for 2 1/2 months. I am 27 years old, 5'4'', 130 pounds, and I live a moderately healthy lifestyle. I have few complaints with Sprintec, and I plan to stay on it. Weight gain - no noticeable weight gain. Effect on acne - no noticeable effect on my minor acne. Breast size/pain - no noticeable effect. Breakthrough bleeding - none. Mood - two periods of 2-3 days where I noticed some significant pill-related depression and anxiety; otherwise, I feel great. Periods - cramps slightly reduced, flow about the same."

For Birth Control "I started taking this medicine for its obvious indication as birth control, but also wanted to get on it for its anti-androgenic properties. I've noticed crazy mood swings; I've had several anxiety attacks and depression that has become out of control. I haven't really noticed a decrease in acne (although I never suffered from it to begin with; I still have the occasional couple zits on my chin). However, I have noticed a decrease in the speed of growth of unwanted facial hair. Decreased sex drive, nausea, and weight loss are also side effects I have experienced. I am just now getting over the nausea. Also, I had breakthrough bleeding for about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm going to try it a couple more months to see if I regulate the hormones better."

For Birth Control "I started taking Sprintec on the Sunday I had my period. I was on like day 3 or 4 of my period when I started it. I stayed on it for a little over a week when I noticed my depression had severely worsened. I was also breaking out a lot. Then after I stopped taking it, the next day I was spotting. Now here I am bleeding like I'm having another period. While dealing with the mental side effects slowly fading, but definitely still there, now I'm bleeding again, and I have low iron. This birth control is terrible. I do not recommend it at all."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this per my doctor because of breakthrough bleeding in between periods. I have just decided to stop after a month. I have had nothing but horrible side effects. I developed acne-like spots on the inner labia (thankfully that went away), vaginal dryness/irritation, increase of anxiety, lethargy, uncontrollable gas, increased appetite, and low sex drive. The only good thing is that my adult facial acne has been nonexistent. All in all, it has been a horrible experience."
