For Birth Control "When I first started Sprintec, I bled for three weeks straight. My periods got ridiculously heavier (every day was a heavy day, and they lasted a week). I also got sick on the first day of my period like clockwork, essentially being confined to the bathroom on that day. Additionally, I started to have anxiety attacks about three times a week and had extreme depression with suicidal thoughts. I started losing it over nothing. I pushed my fiancé away because I found him repelling and called off our wedding. Within about a week of throwing away these pills, I was finally back to 'normal' and had to pick up the pieces left in my wake. This drug ruined my life!"

For Birth Control "My experience using Sprintec has been horrible, to say the least. I have been on it for 2 months. My anxiety is through the roof. I wake up in the middle of the night with panic attacks, I have been bleeding for two months straight. It’s the most traumatizing experience I ever had with birth control. Every morning I wake up, it feels like my water broke, and right when I think my period has stopped, two days later it comes back even harder! I use super plus tampons, and it doesn’t even last me through the night. Before this birth control, I was having a regular period that doesn’t last more than a week, now I’m still on my cycle. Just want to share my experience because I wish I would’ve done more research before I tried this birth control."

For Endometriosis "I've been taking Sprintec for 8 months. I take it continuously, skipping the placebo pills. It has helped my endometriosis, but the breakthrough bleeding is non-stop. It's awful. I'm swapping to another pill to see if I can get the bleeding to lessen. I'm sad it didn't work to prevent periods because it didn't cause any nausea or weight gain. Other pills I've tried in the past caused both! Fingers crossed for the next one..."

For Endometriosis "The excruciating pain I had been experiencing with my periods went away almost instantly with Sprintec, but I did have (painless) breakthrough bleeding that hasn't let up, so I'm trying a different brand."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My vagina feels like it’s about to be on the floor. I’ve been bleeding since last Sunday, it’s almost been two weeks-well, the worst two weeks of my life. My ass feels like I don’t have one, and my legs keep going numb, everything hurts. I've been feeling like I’m going crazy with mood swings. You don’t even want to know. I’m not taking this anymore, and I don’t recommend this for anybody, so take it at your own risk."

For Birth Control "I have started taking this birth control last month, and I hate it. I had a week-long period, which is normal. Then the next week, I had dark brown discharge for a week. Then I started bleeding again the third week for about 3-4 days. My cramps are severe. Mood swings are out of control."

For Endometriosis "I have been on Sprintec for almost 9 months now. My doctor prescribed it because I had abnormal periods with non-stop vomiting, serious IBS-like symptoms with blood in my stool, and heavy bleeding. She says that most probably I have endometriosis. Every month, for at least a week, my life became awful. I had to take at least two days off work per month. I also have fibroids with a history of myomectomy. Sprintec improved my life immensely. Now, I do not experience nausea and intestinal issues as often as before, and I do not have to take days off work anymore. The problem is that I have been on my period for two months now. Not even a normal day in between on which I don't have to wear a pad. The bleeding does not stop, and it is getting heavier and heavier. Last night, I experienced huge blood clots and cramps. I have also gained weight and have headaches all the time. I am so disappointed. I can't go back to my life before Sprintec, but now life is no fun either."

For Birth Control "I start my third pack of Sprintec tomorrow, and I've been thrilled with the results! I primarily take it to manage my acne since I get terrible cysts on my jaw and cheek all the time. After about a month and a half, I have only 2 tiny spots on my right cheek and no new breakouts (except those spots which got a little bigger during the off week then went back down). I also use a prescription lotion from Curology. Beware: the first month, my period went from 5 days to 7, with breakthrough bleeding for another week, followed by a 2-week period. Cramps weren't bad, but bleeding was heavier. Skin maintained. I have been a bit moodier and gained some weight, but that's probably because of stress. My breasts grew too, so I can't complain about that, lol."

For Birth Control "I had started BC without my parents knowing and went to Planned Parenthood to request BC. I get my prescription for $9. I've been on it for almost a month now. I'm halfway through the third week, the next week is the white pills. I had started the birth control off my period, I started on 10/18 at 7 pm. My period usually comes around the 30th, I have not had a period yet. I had very little breakthrough bleeding for a short week, and little cramps the first night. The next day, I was very tired and hungry. After that day, everything was normal except for bloating, which was fine. My boobs have gotten slightly bigger, and I've gained 5 lbs, which I wanted to gain weight. Also, I've been wanting sex a bit more if some ladies are worried about their libido."

For Birth Control "Just started, so what I'm experiencing may change after some time (I hope), but I began bleeding the next day of taking Sprintec, and I'm still bleeding now. Ok, fine, maybe because it's new, but I'm also nauseous EVERY DAY right after I eat or drink ANYTHING (it's helping me lose weight because I can't keep much down). Also, now I have acne like I've never had acne. I'm easily depressed, then I'm super happy, like it's confusing. This is not cool, but like I said, it is still new for me, so I'm going to give it time. My GYN says after 3 months it should be better."

For Birth Control "I've only been on this birth control for a few weeks, and I am experiencing crazy anxiety and extreme dizziness! It's so scary at times. I just had a baby two months ago and can't risk another pregnancy right now, so I don't know what to do. Not to mention, I've been bleeding for two weeks straight with crazy heavy cramps."

For Birth Control "Here we go again. I switched off generic Seasonale to Sprintec because I had constant breakthrough bleeding. I'm advised to take Sprintec for 9 weeks and then go on the placebos. 3 weeks after starting the actives, I start spotting. Last cycle, I bled the entire time after those 3 weeks and went through panty liners like toilet paper. The cramps were constant as well as the bleeding. I'm considering staying off birth control because I am sick of bleeding all the time. Also, Sprintec really screwed with my emotions. I cycle between being normal and being depressed, and it's putting heavy strain on my relationships. It makes me incredibly apathetic and zaps my energy, so I don't even feel like showering."

For Birth Control "I will preface this by saying that I haven't been on any form of hormonal birth control in over ten years. I am 40 years old and started taking this pill for perimenopausal symptoms. I wasn't able to track my cycle anymore. That being said, I really wanted to like this pill. My insurance covers it. It provided relief from the symptoms I had been having, and I felt more level. However, the side effects were just as bad. I had breakthrough bleeding every day after the first week. From day one, my breasts were incredibly sore and grew in size (not a bonus for me). I was dry heaving in the middle of the night. The constipation and bloating aren't fun either. I called my doc after 2 weeks. I need lower estrogen and will start the NuvaRing today."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Took it due to heavy, long periods. Technically, it did help. My periods went from 7 to 8 days to 4 or 5, and bleeding was cut down to a third of what it was before. Also, it really helped with my acne. However, that's where the good stuff ends. I experienced HORRIBLE menstrual pains at least 7 days before my period that would last until its end. I experienced depression worse than I ever had before during my entire time on the pill (about 7 months). The first 3 months were also a nightmare with nausea, migraines, and constant bleeding. Overall, if your gyno suggests this to you to help heavy periods, ask for a lower estrogen birth control. This pill isn't worth the trauma."

For Birth Control "I started taking Sprintec the second week of August, followed by my period. Ever since I started the pill, I've experienced feeling nauseous, vomiting, morning sickness, my sex drive was low, and depression. I wouldn't want to be around anyone and was just always sad. I also experienced weight gain, which wasn't a problem. But I haven't stopped bleeding since I started the first pack. And I don't think I can handle being depressed for another two months."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I absolutely do not recommend this pill to anyone. I was given the RX because I have been bleeding for 10 weeks, passing several clots, and I became weak and dizzy a few days ago. They told me my other pill was not strong or good enough. This is my 2nd day, and I've thrown up nearly all day. My stomach has ached and cramped so very badly that not even the hydrocodone RX'd will ease the pain. My vision is blurry, and my head is in a constant pounding sensation. I am still weak, and I am still bleeding! Probably wouldn't even give this pill to my dog to prevent her from getting pregnant, it is not worth it, and no, it wasn't worth the money!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This pill is pure garbage! Years ago, I was taking Ortho-Tricyclin and had no bad side effects. I decided to give the generic a try in spite of the negative reviews just because someone convinced me that everyone reacts differently, and since I used the original in the past, I shouldn’t have any problems with the generic. So wrong! I had non-stop bleeding/spotting, nausea every day, feeling super depressed, crying for no reason, and to top it off, it was also hurting my stomach. I decided to finish the pack anyway with hopes that these symptoms would go away. Well, they didn’t. I am now experiencing heavy abnormal bleeding with blood clots. I am switching to Ogestrel starting on Sunday. Ladies, please don't take this rubbish pill!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started Sprintec because my doctor recommended it after I decided to get on birth control after my miscarriage. Two pills into my second week on them, I started my period. It lasted for 12 days, with at least 8 of them being fairly heavy. I have also experienced almost constant spotting since starting it. Tomorrow, I start the second week of my second pack, and I've been spotting for 2 days. If things don't even themselves out soon, I'm switching meds. I'm tired of the bleeding affecting my sex life. I got on Sprintec to prevent pregnancy, not sex. I honestly believe just using condoms would be a better experience!"

For Birth Control "I was put on this Sprintec after I started spotting on my old pill. Everything was fine for the first few months, but then I started to notice I had terrible mood swings and I was depressed. I was starting to break out also, which is extremely rare for me. Lots of random spotting and bleeding during sex. Definitely not worth it, and I wish I never did this to myself with this pill."

For Birth Control "I started out taking Tri-Sprintec as a teenager (16). Never had any problems. Had to switch to Sprintec because of breakthrough bleeding in my 20s. I am now 37 and still take Sprintec. I have never had any problems with it. After taking it for so long, it has become a morning habit. When I don't need it anymore, then I will feel old. Ha."

For Birth Control "This is a nightmare! I started to take this medicine almost a month ago, but I had to stop it! It’s been a month, bleeding nonstop! Crazy headaches, dizziness! I stopped at the white pills, and so far, bleeding! Do not take this medicine! It's the worst!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I have been on Sprintec a year and randomly it causes me to bleed for over a month straight. Which is expensive when it comes to liners or ruining my panties. Since being on it, I have gained weight while I watch my calories and work out a lot. As well, it causes breast pain. It made them bigger to the point I may need a reduction. Don’t forget to mention the emotions. I work hard to control it, but I just want to cry all the time."

For Endometriosis "I am on week 3 of this birth control. I have been on different types of birth control pills consistently for 11 years. My doctor had me switch off my last birth control due to irregular bleeding and pain associated with my endometriosis. I have gained about 8 lbs in 3 weeks on Sprintec. I initially thought I just had a bad week of not eating great, but was still pretty shocked with the amount of weight gain, which is unusual for me. After a few days of practically starving myself and exercising, the weight still remained. Again, completely unusual for me, I can normally lose weight pretty quickly. My husband agrees I look pregnant. I am stopping the pill immediately. I’d rather have pain than feel this fat. It’s depressing - which is another side effect I’ve heard. Maybe we’re all just depressed 'cause we’re fat!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My period went from March 11 to March 15. Started bleeding again on March 19. It's March 30, and I'm still bleeding. It's not as heavy as my normal period, but it's enough for it to be a nuisance now. I started taking it mid-January and loved it. Now I hate it."
