For Birth Control "I started Mili about 2 months before I got married. My mood was affected immediately. I became very sad and anxious. I also began to gain weight very quickly. Nothing in my diet had changed, in fact, I was eating healthier than normal. Overall, I just didn’t like how it made my body feel. The only plus was my periods were regular. And I didn’t spot when I started it."

For Birth Control "The only positive thing this birth control did for me was clear up my skin. Otherwise, I've had a horrible experience so far. I've rapidly gained weight and gone up two pant sizes in less than 2 months. I also have depressive episodes where I have zero interest in anything. My periods were regular and heavy for the first day or two and then more manageable for the next few days. If it weren't for the weight gain and depressive episodes, I'd be happy with this birth control."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend! I was on it for one month, and it was the worst month of my life. I never cry, and I am not an emotional person, but when I was on the pill, I cried every single day. I could not control my emotions. I became depressed within a matter of weeks, and I never felt happy. I felt unmotivated and sad all the time, and I could not get out of it. I also became very irritable and experienced mood swings. I stopped the pill before I finished my first pack. Overall, I do not recommend."

For Birth Control "Like the other women who were given Mili in place of Sprintec, I truly feel it is not the same thing. Mili threw my body and hormones completely out of whack! After switching to this pill after being on Sprintec for about 8 years, I became depressed and all of a sudden had very high anxiety. I was crying all the time and just didn’t feel like myself. I couldn’t figure out why, and then it was like a light came on when I made the connection. Shortly after they switched my script to Mili is when my mood shift occurred. I’m so glad I figured this out and did some searching around me to see which pharmacies still carry Sprintec (Kroger carries it). To anyone given this script instead of their usual pill, I recommend trying to find another pharmacy first before accepting a substitute product!"

For Birth Control "I did not take any birth control before taking Mili. It made me terribly anxious and depressed. I did not even recognize myself in the mirror. I could not stop throwing up, no matter what. I had zero desire to eat and could go for an entire day without a single meal. I was following all the rules of taking the pill and still had the worst experience of my life. Would never recommend this for anyone."

For Birth Control "I've been on and off BC for many years. I chose this because, though Yaz gave me weight loss, I experienced suicidal thoughts and extreme depression while taking it. I don't want to get pregnant right now, so I informed my family that I'm starting a new BC and to let me know if I don't notice a mood problem. To my surprise, this pill has improved my mood. I have mild depression and anxiety but have never taken any meds for it. I feel great now. During the first two weeks on it, I felt like I had so much energy. It was pretty bizarre. I also have high androgens, and this pill is a no/low androgen option, which is perfect."

For Birth Control "This was the worst birth control I’ve ever been on. I’ve been taking birth control for 4 years, and this was the worst one I’ve ever been on. I’ve been on it for 4 months because I had to transfer my prescription over to the pharmacy at my college. Mili has no benefits. I have constant headaches. I’m always anxious and depressed because of it, especially right before I take the placebo pills. It has made my chin break out, even though I normally have very clear skin. My breasts are always tender as well. Worst birth control experience of my life. I just called my doctor to switch me because it is terrible!!"

For Birth Control "My pharmacy gave me Mili instead of Aprintec. I've never had issues with Aprintec and was assured by the pharmacist and my doctor that they were the same. Absolutely not! Since starting Mili, I have felt nauseous, my boobs hurt, I'm bloated, and I have 0 appetite. I've become very emotional, have no energy, and feel very depressed all of the time. I will be switching back to Sprintec after I'm done with this round of Mili. What a terrible pill."

For Birth Control "I thought I loved this birth control at first because it cleared up my acne, and for the first time in my life I had regular periods. A few months after starting it, I became the most irrational, depressed person, but I didn’t realize it had anything to do with the pill at the time. I truly felt like I was going absolutely insane. Every day I’d wish I didn’t have to live my life, and I’d cry hysterically over the most random issues and didn’t understand why. I finally realized that I started feeling bad after starting the pill, so I stopped taking it just to see. Within just a couple of weeks, I felt like so much weight was lifted off my chest and I could finally breathe again. I feel completely back to normal after being off of it for a couple of months. Feeling the way that I felt was truly so scary, and I don’t like to think about what might have happened if I stayed on it much longer. It was the most awful thing for my mental health."

For Birth Control "I noticed that I have been sick nonstop the last two months, and it finally clicked that it was the birth control. The symptoms line up exactly with the side effects of the inactive ingredients. I’ve had depression, bawled at work a few times, had to use the wall to steady myself a lot, extreme fatigue, breast tenderness, loss of breath, and most of the morning nausea went away after a month. The first period felt like a meat tenderizer was pounding me. Didn’t feel anything but fragile and loss of appetite for the second."

"If you are mentally ill, specifically with bipolar disorders, PMDD, psychosis, or have a sensitive stomach, please mention these to your doctor when discussing BC. I was on this for PCOS and HRT. I am transmasculine and experience depression and schizoaffective disorder, and this was really not a good fit for me. I experienced extreme apathy, low motivation, and an increase in my psychotic thoughts (cognitive noise, dysfunction, and paranoia). I can’t remember the vast majority of the last month. I got my period, yeah, but at the expense of my gut and mental health. My state subsidizes family planning RXs, so it cost nothing for me. I also had very bad stomach issues resulting in my inability to eat complete meals and enough calories. I've been off it for 3 days, yet my stomach is returning back to normal, and I feel so much better mentally. I've added Ensure+ into my diet to increase what I can consume in a day."

For Birth Control "This was the worst birth control ever! I’m currently taking Mili to control my PCOS. While taking the pill, my hair stopped growing, I’m nauseous, have terrible headaches, spotting, acne, diarrhea, cramping, bloating, weight gain, depression, anxiety, breast tenderness, and pregnancy symptoms daily! I never had any of these symptoms or side effects with any other birth control from the pill, Mirena, or injection. I felt so alone until I read these reviews. I thought I was just stressed from work and mom life. This needs to be banned!!"
