For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This birth control works great for a contraceptive, though I was on it for my periods. The side effects are why I changed to a different pill. In the beginning, I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding, but once it got into my system, it got better. I cried continuously for the first two weeks of every month, which made me and everyone else around me angry. That's why I switched to a lower dose."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Estarylla for about 4 months now. Before this, I was taking Sprintec, and it seemed to be working just fine for me. The pharmacy changed the prescription, saying that it was the same birth control with no different side effects. Wrong!!! I am a little bit of an emotional and sensitive person as it is, but this birth control has turned me into the worst emotional wreck that I have ever been!!! I am constantly nauseous with relief very rarely. Headaches come and go, but it’s mostly the nausea, anxiety, and depression. I definitely would not recommend this birth control to any girl who wants to keep their happy spirit alive and kicking. It’s terrible."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 8 months now, and I go on here and read these reviews and wonder where people are getting this from. I understand everyone's body is different and reacts differently to different pills. For me, this pill cleared almost all my acne, I haven't gained weight, my super painful cramps have almost vanished, my flow isn't as heavy, the only real bad side effect I have noticed is the mood swings, but even those are not that bad. It's a great pill."

For Birth Control "I started taking the pill form of birth control at the age of 16 and stopped at 23 when I experienced a pulmonary embolism in my lung due to this drug that almost killed me. On top of the blood clot, I had severe acute necrotizing pneumonia (which I believe I contracted due to the dead lung tissue from the blood clot). I was in the best shape of my life in terms of fitness: a Muay Thai martial artist and a recreational bodybuilding weightlifter. My fitness and my youth saved my life. I was the sickest patient in the ICU step-down. I still have PTSD. Think twice if you want to take this birth control. There are much safer options (such as the Mirena IUD that I am now on). My gyno also had me on years of Premarin, which I had stopped taking months prior to my blood clot. Regardless of the Premarin boosting my chances, it is still not worth the risk by taking this drug. Avoid taking this at all costs and use a safer birth control option that is non-systemic. It’s rare until it happens to you."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The worst BC ever. I have just used it for 3 days, and I have headaches, and I threw up every single day. Do nothing other than sleeping like a log. This medicine was prescribed to control the abnormal bleeding I had, and guess what? I have the bleeding + these extra bonuses. Hate this medicine to death. I am a person with no allergies to anything I know of now. My body is pretty strong, while other people around fall sick, I remain totally unaffected. I will rate this medicine a negative, not even a zero."

For Birth Control "I’ve taken Estarylla for 4 months now, and I’m getting headaches frequently, a metal taste in my mouth that comes and goes, low energy/lethargy pretty much all the time, appetite issues. Even when I’m eating well, I still don’t feel right. The week before my period had come, I had a variety of pregnancy symptoms, and I’ve had symptoms of anxiety and depression on and off. I’m not very thrilled with this birth control, and I’m thinking about either getting off of it or switching to something else."

For Birth Control "The first month of taking the Estarylla birth control was fine. However, by the second month, I had gained about 10 lbs. No problems with acne, it actually helped to clear it up. Boobs were a little bigger, which was nice. HOWEVER!!!!! This birth control COMPLETELY dried up my vagina. Like literally bone dry. I have never had this problem with any birth control I've ever taken. Could not even get lubricated during self-pleasure. ALSO, I had spotting/breakthrough bleeding literally the entire time I was on this birth control, which I've never experienced before. Even if I took it consistently every day at the same time, I was bleeding almost every day. This birth control was a complete and total nightmare for those reasons. It had a huge negative impact on my sex life and self-confidence. The 3/10 was given simply because it cleared my skin and gave me (slightly) bigger boobs (probably due to weight gain). Do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I've been on Estarylla 0.25 mg for a month and a half now. I've had such terrible experiences with birth control pills. But I can say there's not too much bad I can say about Estarylla other than I am nauseous as if I'm pregnant. Mornings seem to be the worst. I take my pill at night to help avoid sickness, but I'm sick regardless. But I can say it's cleared up my ache and NO CRAZY MOOD SWINGS! Thank God.. NO MORE depression, anxiety, night sweats, NO WEIGHT GAIN. I'm waiting on period #2 to see how my blood flow will be this month because unlike the other pills, I can say I had a longer period than the typical 3-4 days. My period last month was a good 7-10 days. I am hoping this month will be lighter and my typical 3-4 days :)"

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE! If you are used to taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, this is not a substitute! I've had crazy mood swings, depression, fatigue, bleeding, nausea day and waking me up at night, and to make it worse I've broken out worse than I have been in years. Almost worse than I had in middle school, and I'm 31. Stay away!"

For Birth Control "As far as birth control, Estarylla works. My periods are regular, and there is no spotting between them. As far as everything else, this pill is horrible. For the longest time, I have not been able to figure out what was causing my anxiety and depressive episodes. I have always battled with anxiety, but this pill has made it so much worse. As soon as I stopped taking it, I was anxiety-free (outside of the normal), and my sex drive increased by miles. I wouldn’t recommend this pill to anyone, especially those who struggle with anxiety. Never again."

For Birth Control "I am in the fifth month of taking Estarylla. The reviews are scary, but just like a restaurant, most people only post when they are upset. Most people also have underlying issues. So let's start. PROS: you will always know when your period is, and you can even plan your period, which is nice for birthdays, vacations, etc. You will always have your period during the last week of the pills (the green row). Periods are lighter. Easy to swallow. No mood swings, or weight gain, no cravings (with my last birth control, I was munching every 2 hours, even waking up in the middle of the night with my stomach growling), no breakouts, and no annoying doctor appointments to get injected with something, or have something removed/adjusted. Most importantly, you can stop when you want, and my favorite, you still get your period. Now that I'm older, I feel like a period is needed to detox your body. This pill is pretty easy, you have to let your body get adjusted to the hormones, so of course the first weeks or even months, there are little things."

For Birth Control "I was on Estarylla for 3 1/2 months. I had never taken any birth control before starting it. I got bad cramping and heavy spotting in between periods. In the short amount of time taking Estarylla, I gained about 30 pounds without changing my diet or exercising or any other lifestyle changes. I literally went up two pant sizes, and I was so bloated. My moods were completely uncomfortable, and I didn’t even feel like myself. I am still trying to lose the weight, and it’s been 8 months off of all birth control."

For Birth Control "I am a 35 yr. old mom of 2. My Dr. put me on this to help with severe period cramps and possible endometriosis diagnosis. I've only been on birth control prior to my kids (husband is fixed now) who are now 9 and 11. Been on this for one month and I've gained 6 lbs! Mind you, I am normally very active (I teach cycle class 5 days a week) and eat healthy, but this weight gain is crazy! Also, I have had weird tingling feelings and have been super unmotivated to do anything! I thought I had a weird flu because I could not figure out where all my energy went?! Stopping immediately, hopefully, I'll find better relief with another pill. Thanks for all the reviews! I know everyone reacts differently, but it's comforting to know I'm not alone."

For Birth Control "Please listen to these reviews! The worst BC pill ever. I'm 18 and was getting terrible migraines, so my doctor prescribed this pill in order to help with them. The pill did help with them, but that is about the extent to which these pills did something good for me. The first 2 months of taking these pills, I experienced nausea EVERY morning. I also started experiencing actual panic attacks, which I had never had before. The first 3 months, I didn't experience weight gain, so I thought I lucked out, but nope. In about 3 weeks, I gained over 8 lbs without a change in my diet or lifestyle. For the past month, I have been eating healthier and exercising to try and shed the lbs, but nothing seems to work. I am also bloated all of the time. My anxiety and depression have been crazy lately, and I just do not feel like myself. Tomorrow is my last day on this pill, and I could not be happier. Please do not take this pill."

For Endometriosis "This is by far the worst birth control I have ever taken. Prior to using it, I never experienced depression, anxiety, or negative thoughts, but since starting it, I have been going through intense waves of emotions, anxiety, and mood swings. The mood swings have been particularly severe, making it difficult for me to function at times. It's as if this birth control has intensified my premenstrual syndrome symptoms. I find it absolutely awful."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking this pill for severe menstrual cramps (I've had to take a lot of ibuprofen daily to manage the pain) and to hopefully decrease the amount of clots I was passing (sorry...TMI...I know!) throughout my period, which were very large, numerous, and painful. I am very pleased with the results! After only one month, the clotting and PMS symptoms have significantly decreased, the cramps are manageable, and I was able to function like a 'normal' person at work on my cycle. I was apprehensive about Estarylla birth control because of all the bad reviews, but it has been a lifesaver for me! Sticking with this pill forever and ever! Amen!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I was very scared to start Estarylla at first because of the reviews, but keep in mind that we’re all different. When I first started, my emotions were all over the place, I wanted to cry and then just felt angry. This then went away after the first week. I also got some headaches and was definitely nauseous throughout my first month. I missed two days and spotted for like a week, I don't know if that’s normal or not. Lastly, my breasts were sore as anything! But overall, I don’t think it was a terrible experience. I still have to see if it did anything to help with my ovarian cysts, even though I still have minor aches on my sides."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about three or four months now. My doctor prescribed it because I was getting to the point where I was sexually active frequently and she said this one was good, and it is! For pregnancy prevention, at least. But it has a few downsides. This medication makes me very prone to panic attacks, mood swings, and depressed states. When I start a new pack, I always get a little nauseous, and I bloat easily. It's very on and off for period regulation. Sometimes I'm light, sometimes heavy, sometimes no period at all. That being said, my acne is gone, and I'm not pregnant, and my cramping is minimal. Does its job, but not for everybody."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I like to think of myself as a pretty normal 20-year-old, and I play sports in college. Ever since my pharmacy changed from Ortho Tri-Cyclen to Tri-Estarylla, I have been depressed, crying, angry, having severe anxiety attacks, and more. I have been on birth control for my irregular periods since I was about 16 and had no problems with Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Do not take Tri-Estarylla!"

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL. I was on Mononessa for years and loved it until the pharmacy switched it to this garbage. At first, it was typical, but by the 3rd week my health flipped. My anxiety and depression got so bad, I was feeling nauseous and lightheaded all day. I had so much trouble breathing, had low self-esteem and was overthinking everything and couldn’t handle stress. I was exhausted all the time but would wake up constantly with chills, and my heart was racing nonstop. I finally realized the only thing that’s different was this stupid pill, so I quit taking it, but not before my doctor informed me I now have an overactive thyroid that was likely brought on by this. For mental and physical health, don’t accept this pill."

For Birth Control "This pill actually made me depressed, anxious, and nauseous to the point where I couldn't function. I took it for two years when I was first prescribed it because I never actually associated the symptoms with the pill until one day I brought up how I was nauseous all the time to my doctor, and she recommended I switch pills. Once I got off this pill, I immediately felt happier and less anxious. It did prevent pregnancy, but literally, whenever I would take even the tiniest drink of any kind of alcohol, I'd be nauseous for the rest of the night. I recently took this pill again for a few days, and these symptoms immediately returned. Never touching it again."

For Acne "Now it makes sense. I have had acne and nervousness lately and was asking myself what’s wrong. Why am I feeling so tired for the most part of my life? If I got a headache, drinking water was very much enough to take it away in the past, and then last month I got a migraine that won’t go away, I had to take Tylenol. I kept asking myself what has changed, but guess what, now I know - they changed my birth control from Sprintec to this Estarylla. It is crazy how I feel. I’m calling the pharmacy first thing in the morning. Thanks for everyone who puts down reviews, coz I would have never known what was happening to me."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I went to my OBGYN for my yearly appointment, and she refilled the same pill that I've been on for two years. Loved Trinessa, did its job, I could estimate the time of my period down to the hour. Lasted 4 days. And for being a person that switched pills for a year trying to lessen my sad feelings, Trinessa really did me well. So, after my yearly appointment, I went to pick up my new yearly prescription. CVS stopped carrying Trinessa and gave me Tri-Estarylla instead. All they told me was that they did not carry Trinessa and that this was the same chemical compound, just a different generic brand. Well now, I've been on this new pill for two weeks, and I have yet to stop bleeding from my last week on Trinessa! Spotting is terrible."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control about a month ago after switching from the generic brand of Yaz (Loryna, I believe), and I am about to finish my last pack. Before taking it, I was a bit hesitant because of the many bad reviews about it. But, after a month of taking it, I am happy to say I haven’t experienced barely any negative side effects. I haven’t felt depressed or anxious, I don’t believe I’ve gained weight (although I don’t have a scale to measure myself), and I haven’t had any headaches, stomach pain, etc. I have noticed a few pimples, but I also have been slacking on my skincare routine lately. All in all, I would suggest giving this birth control a try, and don’t let the bad reviews scare you. Yes, everyone’s body is different, but you don’t know how it will affect you until you try it for yourself."
