For Birth Control "HATED IT! Was on Loestrin 24 Fe and had no issues, my doctor told me they discontinued it, and they switched me to this because it was the most like it. I completely DISAGREE. Felt depressed, no energy, literally cried every day for absolutely no reason and had no sex drive."

For Birth Control "Minastrin has been great for me. I have had no side effects whatsoever. I agree with what others say, however, about periods disappearing. It was great when I was not sexually active, but now that I am, it makes me nervous."

For Birth Control "I have been on Minastrin for 3 months after switching from the Nuva Ring (big mistake). I am constantly bloated on this pill, which is the most frustrating part. I have gained 10 pounds, and I work out 6 days a week and eat extremely clean. I am going off this pill for fear that this weight gain will continue (my friend gained 20 pounds!). I am often achy and have many nights of restless sleeping. I have suffered from depression in the past, so that might have something to do with the occasional moodiness. Overall, BC is different for everyone, but I'm getting off this pill."

For Birth Control "I started this pill as my first pill ever, and it definitely helped with the intensity of my heavy bleeding issue prior to starting the pill. However, I noticed a lot of mood changes, a decrease in sex drive, weight gain, lots of spotting, and I never missed a pill. I am switching to Beyaz now, hoping to get better results."

For Birth Control "My DR started me on this pill 2 months ago. I'm 22 and have never been sexually active. She started me on this pill because my PCOS made me not get a period in over a year. My period came back on week 3 of the pill, then continued for 2 weeks. It was very heavy and painful, but I guess that's what happens when you don't get one in 15 months. Things seem to be leveling out now in terms of side effects. The first 2 weeks, I was an emotional train wreck, I've gained a bit of weight, but I'm also on some new meds for my diabetes, which could also be the cause. The only really bad side effect is that my breasts are really tender. Other than that, it's been great."

For Birth Control "I haven't been on birth control for a few years, but I have used two different brands, and this has got to be the worst one I've ever been on. I lasted all of two days. I read the side effects and reviews, but wanted to try it out for myself, and I will have to agree with all the negative reviews on the pill. My side effects were really bad nausea, mood swings, and severe anxiety. I would go from wanting to cry, punch someone, or total sadness in a matter of minutes. I know your body has to adjust, but going through just two days of what I went through, I decided to stop taking it. I would say try at your own risk!"

For Birth Control "I've always had extremely painful periods to the point where I would throw up from the pain. I decided to try birth control pills to see if it would help. So far on this pill, I've had short, light periods with very minimal cramps. My acne has even cleared up a great deal. So far, so good."

For Birth Control "Omg... this is just some bullcrap. I was on Minastrin before I got pregnant, and the periods weren't really heavy, but I cramped really bad. So I decided after the baby I would go back on it until my Paragard comes in. Whelp, I get back on it, keep in mind I'm already facing postpartum depression. I have every symptom listed. I can't believe it would make me suicidal, but yes... it does. I stopped taking it because I couldn't stand the spotting, well, of course, that turned into a heavy period. Then, two weeks later, I got another full period. So I went without birth control for another month, which wasn't cool. So I decided at the start of my current period I would start back taking it. And here I am... spotting after my period, and I have blood clots."

For Birth Control "I started my very 1st birth control after I had my daughter. My doctor had prescribed Minastrin 24 Fe to me, and it worked amazingly! At first, I hated chewing it, but I'm used to it now (4 months in). My periods are only 4-6 days and are very light! I am so happy with this birth control and wouldn't even think about switching it out. You ladies need to get past the 1st three months, and you'll be good to go!"

For Birth Control "I have been on many different birth control pills (Linessa, Diane-35, Yasmin, Lolo, Orthocyclen, Alesse, Seasonale, Trinessa), and this pill was by far the worst. I have endometriosis, and this made my pelvic pain UNBEARABLE. I also have a litany of mood disorders, and this made me feel blunt and emotionless one moment, and then extremely depressed, and then insanely angry the next moment. I've never had a birth control create such violent changes in me, and I've been on various BC pills for upwards of ten years. I felt like myself the day after I stopped taking it. That being said, BC works differently for everyone."

For Birth Control "Started on Minastrin 24 Fe to help balance out my cramping and the heavy bleeding during my periods, which it did help. A week after I started my next new set, I started to have the bad feeling in my upper stomach like I have been doing tons of sit-ups nonstop. So I thought I probably moved funny or something, it'll go away. Well, a couple of days went along, and it got worse. It became more intense and sharp stabbing pains, and it extended into my back as well. I couldn't lay on my sides, nor even when I drove in a vehicle any bump nor turn it hurt. I knew it was time to go to the hospital. When they checked me out, they said I had a blood clot going to my liver, which was caused by birth control. Be careful, it might not be for you."

For Birth Control "Perfect!!! In the first pack, my skin cleared up, and there was no weight gain, and I had the lightest period of my life!!! Four days, and very light. The second pack was a little rough on my skin, and I had gained five pounds, but by the third pack, my skin was crystal clear again, and I had lost the weight I had gained. Still very light periods, and definitely not pregnant. I wish I could go back to this, but it stopped being covered by my insurance three packs in. If this is covered by your insurance, I hope this works for you because I would give anything to go back to this one."

For Birth Control "I have tried about five different birth controls before my new doctor put me on Minastrin. I have PCOS, doctors have recommended I always stay on birth control to help it. Before this pill, I bled heavily for a month straight. Two days after starting this, the bleeding stopped. I now have a very light period for maybe three days. Medications can affect one person differently from the next person, but this pill has been one of the best. The bonus is my insurance pays 100% for birth control."

For Birth Control "This is my 4th pack, and I'm not loving it. I'm gaining weight, constant burning sensation on my right side, losing hair like crazy, no sex drive, and am now a hypochondriac. I got on it because I was bleeding very heavily after 3 kids 2 weeks straight. I have to say, the plus side is, I do have my period between 2-4 days and it's light. Is anyone experiencing what I'm going through?"

For Birth Control "I have been on many different forms of birth control, and this has been the best. I'm 33 years of age, and I've been on this a little over a year. At first, I had experienced a heavy period on and off the first year, but starting January 2016, it became lighter and lighter to now I don't have one. I've taken the depo shot as well as other birth control pills, and this tops them all. I have very bad acne, but since on this birth control, little to no breakouts at all. I love it!"

For Birth Control "I started a sample of this pill on 12/13/2015. In the beginning, it was okay. A week later, I started spotting and cramping like my period was coming. This went on for about a week. Now I'm extremely nauseous ALL THE TIME. I can barely eat. Plus, I have no energy since starting this pill. I also became depressed for no apparent reason. And let's not talk about the migraines. It's safe to say they are now in the trash! I'll go back to the old-fashioned condom method of birth control."

For Birth Control "This pill is horrific. I have been on it for only a few days, and it's making me feel super emotional and depressed, and I have never felt this way before. I will no longer be taking this and need to find something to switch to."

For Birth Control "So I have been taking this pill for a month and a half, and I'm glad that I will be switching back to Lo Loestrin Fe. This pill was fine for the first month, but once it got into my system... oh boy. I'm nauseous all the time, which is only relieved by burping or breaking wind. (Gross! I get that it's a bodily function, but 24/7?!) I had five days of breakthrough bleeding. My doctor told me it's normal to not get a period after starting this pill. But when you're sexually active, it gives you pause when you don't get one (have not missed a pill). My boyfriend says that my moods have changed and that I'm lethargic when I'm with him. I also get that I'm stressed out with the holidays, but I really don't need my birth control adding to it!"

For Birth Control "So, I've been on birth control since I was like 16 years old - I'm 24 now. I started taking Loestrin 24 Fe for a while, which I loved! Then I tried out the Depo shot, that was cool as well. Got back on Loestrin 24 Fe since it's the holy grail for me! Never had any problems with this birth control. I stopped taking it for a while, then, of course, it was discontinued. Now here's Minastrin 24 Fe. Well, I began taking this medicine and would become so ill that I wanted to cry literally every day for about an hour. Not only that, but the mint taste makes me very nauseous to this day, and it's been 6 months. I've lost all attraction to my boyfriend after starting this pill. It sucks!"

For Birth Control "My gyno prescribed this pill because I've had dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and I'm guessing this brand must be used to help with this. A week after I started taking this, I started noticing that it felt like my heart was racing, and I could feel tingling down my left arm. I asked my doctor about it, and they said that sometimes the shift in hormones while taking birth control can cause this. I kept taking it and kept having what felt like heart palpitations. They were very uncomfortable and would wake me at night frequently. Finally, after a couple of weeks of this, I'd had enough. My doctor recommended I stop the pill and get cardiology monitoring. I had an EKG done, and the results were normal. But I ended up in the ER. This pill is not for everyone."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I have ever been on, and it's awful. I only gave it a 10 because it does what it's supposed to. I've been on the pill for 6 months. The first three months I had severe acne. I've never had an acne problem until then. Spotting is a severe problem, I have to wear pads the majority of the time (two weeks at the most with no spotting). Periods are very irregular, one day I'm good, the next few days I'm not. I've experienced mood swings and cramping. Not a good experience at all."

For Birth Control "I absolutely loved Minastrin. I took it for about 4 years with no negative side effects. It controlled my mood swings, lightened my period, stopped my cramps, and made me feel like a person again. It is the birth control that I hold all others to, and so far, nothing has compared, not even the generic versions of it. Unfortunately, my insurance stopped covering it, and it went from $0 to $15 to $45 to $135 over about a year and a half (with prior authorizations), so I was forced to switch to another birth control. If I could afford it, I would switch back to Minastrin Fe in a heartbeat."

For Birth Control "I'm giving this pill an 8 because, for me, it had very minimal side effects. I didn't gain any weight, it cleared any blemishes, and I experienced no mood swings or depression. However, I did experience severe spotting and breakthrough bleeding, even after being on the pill for three months. My doctor told me to give my body three months to adjust, and during my fourth month on this pill, I bled for the entire first week of my fourth pack! Therefore, it feels like I'm getting a period (or at least have to wear pads) twice a month. The spotting is absolutely annoying, and I'm strongly considering switching to another pill or just taking myself off of birth control entirely."

For Birth Control "After having an IUD, my Dr. gave me this to try. Periods were very light. No cramping or pimples. Didn't care for the aftertaste of chewing the pills, so I just swallowed them. Every time I refilled my Rx, there were problems getting my insurance to work. They were able to cover it for a while, but now my insurance won't cover it at all. At over $150/month, I will be finding another medication."

For Birth Control "My GYN prescribed this pill to help with my heavy periods. I HATE IT! I've been on it for almost 2 months, I take it at the exact same time every day, and have never missed a dose. I have had the worst mood swings and have been bleeding for a whole month. I experienced what I would call a very heavy period (changing my pad every 45 minutes or wearing adult diapers) 2 times in one month, and the cramps are horrible. I went in to see my doctor the second time I experienced the heavy bleeding, and she said that this is normal for the first 3-4 months of taking this medication. I wish that I had NEVER started this medication. My periods were heavy before the pill, and now they are worse than before. At least before the pill, I only bled 8 days out of the month."
