"I have only been on this Loestrin 24 for about two months. I have actually lost weight, but my breasts hurt all the time. And I'm not talking like 'just a little sore', they hurt bad. I also am having the craziest mood swings. One minute I am happy as a clam, and the next I just cry my eyes out or am so annoyed I can't even think."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for 2 months now. It's been great so far. I've had spotting, and my breasts hurt sometimes, but that's the only negative thing. And I do agree with some people, my periods are so light, I wonder if I'm even on it. Overall, I love it, and it didn't give me horrible mood swings like other pills."

For Birth Control "Like a few other people here, I have only been on this pill for 2 months. I started using it because of my irregular cycle. I was a bit scared to start it because of some reviews I was reading, about it making people crazy, emotional, and anxious, but decided that everyone responds differently to different pills, and I gave it a shot. I take it at night because I wanted to try to avoid nausea. I still feel a bit nauseous when I wake up for the few days after I restart the placebo. Like it did for others, my breasts got bigger and constantly feel sore. Also, I do have spotting, though I'm not sure if it's because I'm not always exactly on time when taking the pill (an hour or 2 off). Overall, I like it, but I'm annoyed with the spotting."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control from 2008-2010 and just started taking it again, on my second month this time around. The first time I didn't have any negative side effects. My periods were really light and only 2-3 days and didn't experience any spotting between, minimal cramps if any, and my skin cleared up. I may have had slight mood and weight changes, but I don't blame the birth control. This time around I started taking my pill at 9 a.m. instead of 7 p.m. I spotted for the first 2.5 weeks and am on week 2 of my second pack and never started my period during the placebo days. I'm not too worried since my body has probably changed over the past 2 years. I also noticed that my breasts grew 0.5-1 cup size the first month and are slightly tender."

For Birth Control "I am 18 and had my first child 18 months ago. I started Loestrin to prevent pregnancy. I am a week into my second pack. The first 2 weeks I had some nausea, and I am still getting bloating and sore breasts, but other than that, it has been good. My periods were always light, and the first period I had while using Loestrin 24 Fe was 3 days of pantyliner, light bleeding, and very, very mild cramping, which was reassuring but not annoying. I would recommend."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for 1 1/3 months (switched from Depo Shot), and I'm not sure I like this. When I started, just 9 days in, I got my period, and at the end of the pack, I didn't get a period. Now I'm on week 3 of my second pack and no period like last month. So I'm a little worried, and I get headaches a lot, and my breasts hurt (this just started a week ago). If by the end of this pack I don't get my period, then I'm going to the doctor."

"So I have been taking Loestrin for about 1 1/2 years, everything is great except the price. I used to pay $24 a month. Then, when I lost my insurance, it went up to $98. Before Loestrin, I was on YAZ, it made me feel nauseous, breast pain, and no sex drive. I switched to Loestrin, and everything is amazing, but since I am a college student with rent, I cannot afford it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Loestrin for 5 weeks now. I had many side effects so far. I've had the heavy spotting almost like a regular period 2 weeks before my actual period supposed to start. My breasts are tender and I feel nauseous all the time. I take mine before I go to bed and they said to take it with food, it should help with the nausea. I get dizzy and very moody. I do mean MOODY! I thought about stopping, but I read from others to stick with it and it will get better. I just had a baby six months ago, so I know my hormones need time to adjust to this pill too. I'm going to keep trying to take it and wait and see if I feel better."

"I have been on Loestrin Fe 24 for about 6 years and recently decided to stop because they were very expensive and I felt bloated all the time. My breasts were always sore and felt swollen. I gained about 10 pounds even though I didn't change my diet. I found that I was hungry all the time, even after I just ate. I craved sugary snacks like cookies and chocolate as if I was addicted. Since stopping (about 3 weeks ago), I no longer feel bloated. In fact, I lost some weight. Probably water, but I still feel so much lighter. My breasts no longer hurt. In fact, they have come down to my original size. My clothes fit better, and I no longer get mood swings. This pill seems to work great for a lot of people, and that is great, but for me, it was a nightmare. I have so much more energy now and feel more like myself."

For Birth Control "I wanted shorter periods and had breast pain on my old pill, so I asked for a low dose BC. I'm on month 4 of this pill and want to be off it desperately. Pack 1, I got a 1-day period and got excited. Pack 2, in the second week, I spotted a lot, then got a 2-day period on schedule. Pack 3, I spotted for 2 weeks and then had heavier spotting for a period. I'm almost through the first week of pack 4 and still bleeding, although it is way lighter than my previous periods on a different pill. I can't deal with this bleeding. My doctor said to give it 4 months, and here we are. I am asking to be put on my old BC ASAP, I'll put up with the sore boobs!"

For Birth Control "Did not work for me. I have been on Loestrin 24 for 6 months (hoping my body would adjust), and my side effects are worse than ever. I gained about 8-10 pounds and can't seem to get it off. My breasts are so tender and huge (was a small B, now I'm almost a D cup). Gives me horrible acne right before and during my period. I constantly feel like I could burst into tears at any moment, and I get angry at the littlest things. A plus is I have the lightest period ever, which is great, but not worth the other side effects. I heard it was a pill with minimal side effects, just did not work for me."
