For Birth Control "This is hands down the worst birth control I have ever used. My mood swings are so awful, and I feel like I’m PMSing 24/7. I am horribly bloated and cramping all the time. I can’t stop eating either, and when I finally do stop, I am nauseous as anything. I never used to be moody, and ever since I started taking this pill, I am so irritable and always feel like crying. I want my Junel back!!"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I’ve ever taken. How could this be sold to women as a form of contraceptive? I was on it for 3 months and experienced terrible nausea, headaches, back pain, cramping. You name it. I was originally taking Junel and had no issues. I am now done taking birth control as my body cannot take this anymore."

For Birth Control "I started this pill less than a week ago after my pharmacy did not have my normal Loestrin, and I already have so many bad side effect symptoms. I have about 5 cystic acne pimples on my forehead when my skin was 100% clear before taking this pill. My cramps are so bad, and I am not even close to starting my period. I cannot stop eating all the time, I am always hungry and bloated. My mood swings are terrible, and I have never struggled with depression and anxiety, and it has been so bad. It has not even been a week! I am stopping this pill immediately after reading reviews and realizing that this pill is having the same effects on other people."

For Birth Control "I was originally on Junel and took a break since I was in between doctors. I started birth control to help with my extremely heavy flow. My new doctor decided to keep me on Junel since I didn’t have any issues. Unfortunately, my pharmacy gave me Aurovela. Because of this drug, I’ve had a 3-week cycle and had cramping for 2 of those weeks. I tried to give it a second month because maybe my body needs to get used to it. I ended up throwing the 3-month pack away and told my pharmacy I would pay out of pocket to make the switch."

For Birth Control "This feels like a punishment. Not only did it make me so incredibly sore and crampy I couldn’t move, and I was emotionally wrecked. PCOS cramps aside, it gave me a complete abdominal muscle lock-up within two weeks of use and caused me to completely disconnect from my emotions. If you've ever felt major depression or anxiety, this worsens both. I cried multiple times a day until I had such puffy eyes they wouldn’t open. Horrible. Do not try it."

For Birth Control "This is the first BC I have ever been on. I came here to see if anyone else has been experiencing the same things I have. I have been on it for a month and have had these symptoms: constant breast pain, restless legs, stomach cramps, terrible mood swings, trouble sleeping, HORRIBLE migraines (I’ve never had a migraine in my life). My period was EXTREMELY LIGHT (which is the only positive). I started taking them to help with period cramps and heavy flow, but I’m still experiencing painful cramps. Judging by the symptoms I see others are experiencing, it seems I’m on the negative end as well. I plan to talk to my doctor about switching."

For Birth Control "This is terrible! I’ve had constant spotting, severe depression, nausea, one minute I can eat everything in my fridge, the next I don’t want anything to do with food. I’m also breaking out in this horrible rash. And I do not have sensitive skin, so I knew it was from this birth control because I stopped it for a week, it went away, then I started it again and my entire back has a really bad rash. I’ve also had really bad cramps. I’m so disappointed. This just did not work for me. I’m giving it a 3 because at the end of the day it did do its job… but side effects were TERRIBLE."

For Birth Control "Was prescribed Junel, but was given Aurovela. Was super skeptical, but I’ve been taking birth control for a little over a year and haven’t had any negative reactions/side effects. Went from getting mild cramps and a 3-day period to a lighter period until it was gone completely. Highly recommend."

For Birth Control "I am taking this birth control as medication for PCOS and autoimmune thyroiditis. It is the third birth control I have tried and the only one so far that has both controlled my physical symptoms and emotional ones. I felt like a new person when I started taking this medication! I only get spotting now during my period and hardly any cramps beforehand."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this BC. I was on Microgestin & absolutely loved it. This not so much. It broke my face out so bad. (I’ve never had acne, so I’m not sure if this is normal or not)... I could literally feel the pimples come out on my face. It burned so bad that I had to put ice on it. It makes me cramp so bad. Last month, I cramped so bad that I thought I was having a miscarriage. I was literally in tears. An hour later I was bleeding & was only on the beginning of week 3 pills. Today, it has me so crampy & sick feeling. I’m done with this brand."

For Birth Control "I decided to switch to Aurovela in hopes of having a new birth control that would finally help with my skin. After a couple of months of using it, I noticed my skin was more irritated and was breaking out more than before. Granted, it was also the start of the pandemic, but I also didn’t feel like myself mentally either. I began to break out on my shoulders and back as well, so after about 8 months or so, I decided to get off birth control altogether in hopes of my body going back to normal. 6 months later, I feel like my skin has improved with the help of Curology, but I also plan on getting on Yaz soon to see if that helps my cramps and acne flare-ups during my cycle."

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE. I have been taking birth control for 7 years and have tried multiple brands. This is by far the worst one I have ever tried. I started this pill after my pharmacy changed my prescription from Bisolvi without my consent! I have been on this pill for only two weeks. I have been bleeding the entire time. I’m having awful cramping and acne. I have back pain and I am nauseous. I am diagnosed with depression and anxiety, so it is normal for me to feel low on a daily basis. But oh my goodness, I have been crying 2-5 times a day every single day. I am completely emotionally unstable. I am crying over everything and very jumpy/scared. If you are having problems with this pill, get off of it ASAP! I am miserable and exhausted."
