For Birth Control "This is hands down the worst birth control I have ever used. My mood swings are so awful, and I feel like I’m PMSing 24/7. I am horribly bloated and cramping all the time. I can’t stop eating either, and when I finally do stop, I am nauseous as anything. I never used to be moody, and ever since I started taking this pill, I am so irritable and always feel like crying. I want my Junel back!!"

For Birth Control "Has worked perfectly so far! It has been seven months, and it has completely cleared up hormonal acne on my body and helped my face, although not as completely. I have not had any mood symptoms or nausea. Maybe a slight reduction in libido, but not much. Also went from over a week of severe pain and heavy flow to a few days of light flow and minimal pain. I love this birth control so far. Before starting it, I read the reviews here, and they scared me, but I have not had any of their experiences. Keep in mind, usually only unsatisfied people bother to leave reviews."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this medication to ease the effects caused by my uterine fibroids (extremely heavy periods with large clots, having to change a super tampon plus a thick pad every two hours, irregular cycles, pain from head to toe). I am not using this medication for birth control, as I am not sexually active. Prior to taking this medication, I had been off hormonal birth control for about four years. Unfortunately, this medication is not helping me, aside from clearing up most of my hormonal acne! My periods are still heavy but now last two to three times longer with constant spotting and discharge of old blood in between. I have intense bouts of nausea and dizziness, along with headaches, diarrhea, complete loss of energy and motivation, and moderate pain everywhere. I've never experienced side effects this bad from birth control before."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I’ve ever taken. How could this be sold to women as a form of contraceptive? I was on it for 3 months and experienced terrible nausea, headaches, back pain, cramping. You name it. I was originally taking Junel and had no issues. I am now done taking birth control as my body cannot take this anymore."

For Birth Control "Horrible. Absolutely horrible. My pharmacy switched me from Junel to Aurovela. Here’s what I have experienced: headaches, nausea, dizziness, acne, crying, yeast infection, and probably worst of all, anger. Like, someone is going to get hurt, anger. In my 22 years on BC pills, this is the worst one. I’m going to stop these and wait till my next refill and insist I get Junel again."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control over a week ago and have never felt worse in my life. I am a very happy overall person, and this entire week have been crying nonstop, extremely depressed, and very nauseous. I guess it beats having a baby!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for two months now, and none of the horrible side effects have calmed down. I know it is from this birth control because I just stopped taking it this week, and every single symptom went away immediately. I had extreme heart palpitations, nausea (literally would throw up all the time), my period would continue for the entire month, extreme mood swings, depression, anger, and worst of all, constant fatigue. I feel energetic, happy, and so much better ever since I stopped taking these pills. These pills should not be allowed on the market."

For Birth Control "I was so glad to find these reviews and to realize I am not alone! My ObGyn started me on these recently for irregular periods (more frequent; I'm in my 40s) and mood swings. I took them for about 10 days and have been feeling awful. Frequent and daily crying, poor sleep, exhaustion, anxiety, bloating, nausea. (I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen for many years in the past and had zero issues). I finally looked at the package insert for these (and online) for side effects, and I am quitting immediately. I threw away the three months I was given and will gladly go back to my irregular periods and mild emotional swings if this is the alternative."

For Birth Control "I went on this birth control for my terrible period cramps, it did help with that, but I feel nauseous about every day, especially after I eat. I get a lot of headaches and backaches. I'm really moody, but overall it’s doing what I need it to, and I'm much better with it than without it."

For Birth Control "I have had the worst symptoms while taking Aurovela Fe 1.5/30 for the last 3 months. My boobs have been sore, I feel like I'm pregnant all the time. Let's not talk about my weight gain, headaches, nausea, eating heavily, mood swings, severe back pain, bad taste, and tight stomach. It's been awful, it starts a week before my cycle and lasts a week after. I was taking Microgestin and have been for years. I have never had so many horrible symptoms in my life. I always ask about Microgestin, and it's like they took it away and switched it with Junel, which wasn't terrible, and now this. I will be calling and informing my doctor and changing to something I can feel comfortable with."

For Birth Control "I’ve never experienced worse nausea before in my life. I’m on day 2 of this pill. I have always taken Junel with zero complaints. This Aurovela is the worst. FDA, what were they thinking when they approved this crap?!"

For Birth Control "Worst birth control pill ever! I took Ortho Tricyclin for years and never had any issues! I’m now in my mid-40s, and my OB/GYN recommended Aurovela to relieve my menopause symptoms and prevent pregnancy. Well, they made me so nauseated, who feels like having sex? I stuck it out for 5 months, and the nausea/vomiting only got worse! I lost 10 pounds that I didn’t need to lose. I stopped taking them, and 3 days later, felt amazing! This is the worst BC pill EVER!"

For Birth Control "This is terrible! I’ve had constant spotting, severe depression, nausea, one minute I can eat everything in my fridge, the next I don’t want anything to do with food. I’m also breaking out in this horrible rash. And I do not have sensitive skin, so I knew it was from this birth control because I stopped it for a week, it went away, then I started it again and my entire back has a really bad rash. I’ve also had really bad cramps. I’m so disappointed. This just did not work for me. I’m giving it a 3 because at the end of the day it did do its job… but side effects were TERRIBLE."

For Birth Control "HORRIBLE. I have been taking birth control for 7 years and have tried multiple brands. This is by far the worst one I have ever tried. I started this pill after my pharmacy changed my prescription from Bisolvi without my consent! I have been on this pill for only two weeks. I have been bleeding the entire time. I’m having awful cramping and acne. I have back pain and I am nauseous. I am diagnosed with depression and anxiety, so it is normal for me to feel low on a daily basis. But oh my goodness, I have been crying 2-5 times a day every single day. I am completely emotionally unstable. I am crying over everything and very jumpy/scared. If you are having problems with this pill, get off of it ASAP! I am miserable and exhausted."
