For Birth Control "I started this pill less than a week ago after my pharmacy did not have my normal Loestrin, and I already have so many bad side effect symptoms. I have about 5 cystic acne pimples on my forehead when my skin was 100% clear before taking this pill. My cramps are so bad, and I am not even close to starting my period. I cannot stop eating all the time, I am always hungry and bloated. My mood swings are terrible, and I have never struggled with depression and anxiety, and it has been so bad. It has not even been a week! I am stopping this pill immediately after reading reviews and realizing that this pill is having the same effects on other people."

For Birth Control "I was so glad to find these reviews and to realize I am not alone! My ObGyn started me on these recently for irregular periods (more frequent; I'm in my 40s) and mood swings. I took them for about 10 days and have been feeling awful. Frequent and daily crying, poor sleep, exhaustion, anxiety, bloating, nausea. (I took Ortho Tri-Cyclen for many years in the past and had zero issues). I finally looked at the package insert for these (and online) for side effects, and I am quitting immediately. I threw away the three months I was given and will gladly go back to my irregular periods and mild emotional swings if this is the alternative."

For Birth Control "After about 3-4 months of taking Aurovela Fe 1.5/30, I’ve decided to stop, as I finally correlated what I’ve recently been feeling/experiencing with taking this pill. I was taking Junel Fe but was switched to this because of spotting. I’ve experienced waves of depression and more anxiety. I read that it interacts with duloxetine, which is what I’m currently taking for depression. I’ve also been retaining more water and can’t seem to get rid of it. I eat a low-carb diet and drink lots of water. I didn’t have this issue until taking it."

For Birth Control "This pill has changed my life for the worse. I have lost love and interest for things such as my sport, school, and hobbies. My acne got worse, and I have never been so depressed. I have gotten such low motivation and have anxiety attacks almost daily. I also overthink things that I have already gotten over. Please do not take this pill... there are better birth control options out there."

For Birth Control "This birth control made me have the worst acne of my life. It was so bad that I couldn’t push through it and decided to switch birth controls. On the plus side, this birth control did not cause me to have mood swings, headaches, or any anxiety. I only ended up taking the pill for two months because my acne was so awful."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about a week and a half, and I cannot stop crying. I totally stopped eating. I wake up with depression and anxiety and fall asleep with depression and anxiety. I literally have never felt so low in my life. I hope no one else ever has to feel this way."

For Birth Control "This feels like a punishment. Not only did it make me so incredibly sore and crampy I couldn’t move, and I was emotionally wrecked. PCOS cramps aside, it gave me a complete abdominal muscle lock-up within two weeks of use and caused me to completely disconnect from my emotions. If you've ever felt major depression or anxiety, this worsens both. I cried multiple times a day until I had such puffy eyes they wouldn’t open. Horrible. Do not try it."

For Birth Control "I was always on Junel or Microgestin, and I'm really nervous taking this new birth control, Aurovela Fe 1.5/30, for the first time. I loved Junel, barely any bleeding, and mild cramps. I hope I don't have anxiety more than I do now taking this pill. I really hope I get my Junel back or have the same experience as Junel. Wish me luck."

For Birth Control "I didn’t like this Aurovela Fe 1.5/30 pill at all. I get my period twice a month, and it makes me bleed a lot. It also makes me gain weight and makes me anxious and depressed. The only positive thing is that I don’t get acne, but so far, this is one of the worst pills I ever tried. The best for me was Microgestin. I only got this one because my pharmacy changed it."

For Birth Control "This birth control is by far the worst one I've ever been on. I would literally rather go back to Depo, and I bled for months on it! Walgreens switched from Taytulla to this, and Aurovela has given me the worst yeast infection, acne, mood swings. I have no appetite, my anxiety and depression have gotten worse, it's spiking my blood pressure, and my poor libido. I have to take antidepressants now. It did help ease my menstrual pain, I'll give it that, but these side effects are definitely not worth it. After reading other reviews, I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm stopping this ASAP!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this medication for several months now. I was prescribed Junel, but they've been out of stock for months, so this is what the pharmacy has been giving me. I've had anxiety in the past, plus I was in a pretty toxic relationship, so I thought my symptoms were normal and not a result of the BC. I've been battling with severe anxiety and waves of depression. The week before my period, I'm very irritable and can't stand life. I'm so glad you ladies spoke up. I seriously was thinking I was losing my mind. I'm completely abstinent now, so I'm going to stop taking it, and hopefully my anxiety and depression subsides. I did notice that I had no anxiety on the days that I took my reminder pills. I really hope this solves my issues. I have been so miserable inside my own skin. It's been a very scary experience. I'm giving it a 5 because it did do a good job as a contraceptive. The side effects are just too much for me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Microgestin for a few years, but Walgreens was out, so the pharmacist gave me Aurovela and said it is the same? I feel like this person should absolutely not be qualified to work in medicine. One week later and my anxiety is through the roof, insomnia is horrible, and I feel so awful mentally and physically. I am so angry and upset with Walgreens, and I now have to pay out of pocket to get Microgestin for this month because my insurance counted the Aurovela."
