For Birth Control "This is hands down the worst birth control I have ever used. My mood swings are so awful, and I feel like I’m PMSing 24/7. I am horribly bloated and cramping all the time. I can’t stop eating either, and when I finally do stop, I am nauseous as anything. I never used to be moody, and ever since I started taking this pill, I am so irritable and always feel like crying. I want my Junel back!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for two months now, and none of the horrible side effects have calmed down. I know it is from this birth control because I just stopped taking it this week, and every single symptom went away immediately. I had extreme heart palpitations, nausea (literally would throw up all the time), my period would continue for the entire month, extreme mood swings, depression, anger, and worst of all, constant fatigue. I feel energetic, happy, and so much better ever since I stopped taking these pills. These pills should not be allowed on the market."

For Birth Control "I started this pill less than a week ago after my pharmacy did not have my normal Loestrin, and I already have so many bad side effect symptoms. I have about 5 cystic acne pimples on my forehead when my skin was 100% clear before taking this pill. My cramps are so bad, and I am not even close to starting my period. I cannot stop eating all the time, I am always hungry and bloated. My mood swings are terrible, and I have never struggled with depression and anxiety, and it has been so bad. It has not even been a week! I am stopping this pill immediately after reading reviews and realizing that this pill is having the same effects on other people."

For Birth Control "I have had the worst symptoms while taking Aurovela Fe 1.5/30 for the last 3 months. My boobs have been sore, I feel like I'm pregnant all the time. Let's not talk about my weight gain, headaches, nausea, eating heavily, mood swings, severe back pain, bad taste, and tight stomach. It's been awful, it starts a week before my cycle and lasts a week after. I was taking Microgestin and have been for years. I have never had so many horrible symptoms in my life. I always ask about Microgestin, and it's like they took it away and switched it with Junel, which wasn't terrible, and now this. I will be calling and informing my doctor and changing to something I can feel comfortable with."

For Birth Control "I got switched from Junel to this about 3 months ago. I got my normal, barely there periods like I did with Junel. I do feel like my mood swings have gotten way worse, especially with anger, which it took me a while to figure out what was different and why I was feeling like an unstable psycho! I'm getting off birth control completely after this for other reasons, but I definitely did not enjoy how I felt emotionally with Aurovela while I was on it!"

For Birth Control "This birth control made me have the worst acne of my life. It was so bad that I couldn’t push through it and decided to switch birth controls. On the plus side, this birth control did not cause me to have mood swings, headaches, or any anxiety. I only ended up taking the pill for two months because my acne was so awful."

For Birth Control "The worst birth control I’ve ever taken, and this is only the second birth control pill I’ve tried. My obgyn prescribed me this birth control because I told her about my concerns with depression and mood swings from my last birth control pill I took, and she told me to rest assured it would be fine, and she prescribed me this one. She didn’t tell me anything, no, nothing about it. Two weeks later into this pill, I’ve been more depressed than I already was, no motivation, and sleep a lot more throughout the day. That’s not even the worst part though. I began to have shortness of breath, chest pains, and very lightheaded. Didn’t think anything big of it after two days, and it hit a point where I was very, very pale and almost passed out, so I went to the ER and underwent a CT scan and found out I had blood clots not in just one of my lungs but both! Worst thing I’ve experienced, SMH."

For Birth Control "This birth control is by far the worst one I've ever been on. I would literally rather go back to Depo, and I bled for months on it! Walgreens switched from Taytulla to this, and Aurovela has given me the worst yeast infection, acne, mood swings. I have no appetite, my anxiety and depression have gotten worse, it's spiking my blood pressure, and my poor libido. I have to take antidepressants now. It did help ease my menstrual pain, I'll give it that, but these side effects are definitely not worth it. After reading other reviews, I'm glad I'm not alone. I'm stopping this ASAP!"

For Birth Control "Literally horrible, it works for some, but not me. I did break out at first, but I figured that was just normal because I had been on the IUD (which wasn’t working for me, I started to get chronic BV) then immediately started taking the pill. I figured it’s just my body reacting to the hormones…boy, was I wrong. I’ve been on this pill for 5+ months and never have had more terrible mood swings or bloating. It’s affecting my everyday life, and it didn’t click that it could be this birth control until other people shared similar stories. I’ve been on BC since I was 13 and now am 25, and never have had bloating, breakouts, or mood swings this bad. I’ve been on the depo shot (went off it because constant bleeding started after 4 years of no side effects) and the IUD too, and never had these types of problems. I’d advise never to take this pill, I seriously feel so emotionally unstable."

For Birth Control "This is the first BC I have ever been on. I came here to see if anyone else has been experiencing the same things I have. I have been on it for a month and have had these symptoms: constant breast pain, restless legs, stomach cramps, terrible mood swings, trouble sleeping, HORRIBLE migraines (I’ve never had a migraine in my life). My period was EXTREMELY LIGHT (which is the only positive). I started taking them to help with period cramps and heavy flow, but I’m still experiencing painful cramps. Judging by the symptoms I see others are experiencing, it seems I’m on the negative end as well. I plan to talk to my doctor about switching."

For Birth Control "I just started taking this brand/formula. I’m almost done with the first pack. So far, my side effects have been very tender breasts, vaginal irritation, and more discharge than usual, maybe some mood swings, and maybe an increase in appetite. I haven’t had any spotting yet. I believe my breasts might’ve grown considering they were very tender. I said maybe mood swings because I did have a few minor upsets, which did seem somewhat irrational. I also have been eating more, I believe, but I’ve been trying to work out so I don’t gain any unwanted fat. I’ll come back to update my experience after my first period, which should be in a week. Then I’ll continue to update my side effects as the months go by. Before trying this birth control, I looked at the reviews listed on here and became extremely discouraged. I’ve been on birth control for 4 years now and have switched my formula/brand for the third time now. Going to give honest and experienced feedback!"
