For Birth Control "This pill is okay. But it causes severe cramping. And mood swings. Irritability and crying seem to be a big issue I couldn't deal with. I was hungry all the time. Severe abdominal bloating was associated. Not sure if it was water weight or what. But I eat well. Normally no sugar in my diet. Run 2 miles a day, 5 days a week, and a ton of water. But this pill made me gain weight. After 6 months, I got off and have switched to NuvaRing. I love it, no side effects this far."

For Birth Control "I tried birth control in college (Lo Estrin), and it was terrible. Mood changes made me act like a demon to my roommates, boobs grew, terrible nausea. Sronyx was recommended by my OBGYN, and I love it! I have gained a little weight and experience nausea from time to time, but otherwise, I don’t notice any side effects. Tried the generic Nutera, and it gave me headaches, so yeah, they are not the same, don’t let the pharmacist tell you otherwise!!"

For Birth Control "I switched from Sprintec to Sronyx because I was suffering from often irregular bleeding and acne, but that’s about it. I started taking Sronyx about 4-5 months ago, and I have noticeably gained a lot of weight. I never changed my diet, and my body weight/shape has always kind of been the same until I started taking this pill. I've been struggling a lot with my body image these past couple of months and recently have started to get easily irritable, which is what made me quit taking the pill. Don’t recommend."

For Birth Control "This birth control Sronyx is just okay. My pharmacy switched me to it from another brand of birth control I really loved. I don’t love this one, but it does the job. I don’t have many side effects. I'm not as moody as some other pills have made me. This made my boobs bigger, and I gained a little weight, but not a significant amount, and it’s likely more due to my own habits than the pill. This one is fine, but next script I’ll probably ask for another brand."

For Birth Control "I’ve begun to notice that my hair has been getting thinner, especially at the hairline. My period started when I was on the real pills, so that sucked. It definitely helped with the pains, as I once had to leave classes because my cramps made it so I couldn’t focus on anything else. I have noticed that I’ve begun to cry more often for no reason, and I’ve gained 4 pounds within 5 weeks of the pill. Use with caution."

For Birth Control "I have very mixed feelings about this pill. On one hand... The pros: - No more 7-day, murder scene-like periods. Now they're just 3 or 4 days. - Clearer skin - Less suicidal tendencies - Higher libido. Mind you, it wasn't low beforehand either. However... The cons: - As most of the other commenters have mentioned, weight gain. It's month 9 and I'm pretty sure that I've gained 15-17 lbs. - More prone to crying - Cramps. I didn't have those pre-this BC. Not a fan. - Increased cravings for weird stuff. Like crushed ice and guacamole, although that may just be my anemia... - Higher libido. This is a two-way street. Now that I'm in college and attempting to date, I can't afford to be this horny. Luckily, I have self-control. - Moods."

For Birth Control "I have been taking the BC Sronyx for about 2 months, my period has not come on (which is AWESOME). THE DOWNFALL: my hair has started to fall out and become thin. I am very moody (angry). I have gained 10 lbs within the 2-month timeframe. I am starting to have pimples on my face that I never had in my 22 years of life. UGH, hate. Today, I stopped taking it."

For Birth Control "I was taking this medication for two years, and I never had any problems with it whatsoever. I started it mainly to regulate my period because I was very irregular. With the Sronyx, I had a period every month. At first, it would start on Sunday and go to the next Sunday, then it went to Wednesday night-Sunday night. I never had any moodiness, acne, weight gain, or any side effects from it. Unfortunately, my doctor made me stop using it due to 'high blood pressure.' I always take my blood pressure at home, and it is usually 134/80. Of course, it is going to be high at a doctor's office. I am now on an all-hormones pill called Nora-Be, which I started yesterday morning. Not sure how I feel about not having an off week for the 'sugar pills.'"

For Birth Control "Don’t use this. I went on this pill for abnormal uterine bleeding. I was on it for a full year and gained 10 pounds, been skinny my entire life and never felt so disgusting in my life than when I was on this pill. I was on another birth control before that, and it did not make me gain weight like Sronyx did. I just recently got the IUD, and I know it’s not for everyone, but I lost all the weight. I know that was what made me gain weight, even though the doctors do not say it. I also got crazy mood swings. Only upside is my skin was clear. I would never take this again."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for 5 years and I love it. I started taking the pill when I was 14, and I only gained 5 pounds, and I spotted for a few days. I love this pill, I'll never change to a different one!"

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I have been on this medicine since this past February, and at first, it was great and actually helped to clear my face. But it was all downhill from there. I have such terrible acne and red patches on my face, and I hate going out without makeup on. I gained a lot of weight, and I am athletic, so I was maintaining a weight of about 145 pounds, and I now weigh about 170. This pill causes me an intense amount of bloating and stomach cramps. Like, they are literally debilitating and make me feel like I’m going to vomit! I get horrible headaches too, and this started when I was put on Sronyx. I do not recommend this pill at all! Made life a lot harder. I’m switching back to Medroxyprogesterone pills instead of a daily birth control pill so my periods come."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sronyx for 4 weeks now and so far things I've noticed have been increased acne breakouts (not horribly), really bad bloating around my period, and some weight gain (luckily only 3 lbs). Other than that, there haven't been any other side effects."

For Birth Control "This is only my second month on birth control. The first month I was taking Orsythia, and it made my acne disappear within two weeks, and I absolutely loved it. I had no issues, and my boobs were starting to grow very slowly. I'm about three weeks into Sronyx, and my acne has worsened. I feel like Scarface. My boyfriend and I have great sex, so that's the only good thing about this. I've gained a couple pounds, but well, I am only three weeks in, and I have been a little stressed, so hopefully my skin goes back to normal. If not, I'm switching back to Orsythia!"

For Birth Control "Sronyx was good, besides being totally emotional sometimes, angry, and the fact that I did gain about 15 lbs. The pill is great. My skin is clearing up."
