For Birth Control "I have been taking LoSeasonique for 3 and a half weeks now, and for the past 2 weeks or so have been experiencing what I think is spotting? I really hope this goes away soon because it defeats the purpose of taking this pill. I would rather get my period for 4 days like I usually do than have 'spotting' for 2 weeks. I also have mild acne increase, along with some abnormal emotional sensitivity. I'm going to try to stick it out for another 2 weeks or so at least, but I don't know how long I can handle the 'spotting,' and I'm afraid of possible future side effects."

For Birth Control "I have the same situation as what was described by momto3b2g. Basically started from week 7: spotting to pantyliner to regular pad (week 11). When you read the forum, the 'endless period' problem was brought up quite often, but was never mentioned as the possible 'side effects.'"

For Birth Control "I also started an endless period beginning month #2 of the pill. It started as spotting, then turned into a full-on period. I'm going on week 3 of bleeding and maintaining worse cramps than I had before I was on the pill. I'm calling my doctor today to see if I should stop taking the pill, I just don't understand why it is extending my period."

"I started taking LoSeasonique because I wanted fewer and lighter periods. I'm on my first package and second month of LoSeasonique and have started spotting and having a light flow. This has lasted 8 days, and just when I think it might be over, it starts up again. I also have cramping. The first month of the pack was great, no spotting or nothing, but at the end of the second month, it sneaks up and bites."

For Birth Control "Hate this pill. I wanted an IUD, but the doctor I saw didn’t want to do it because I am not sexually active. All I wanted were lighter, more manageable periods. The breakthrough bleeding is horrible and makes me miss my normal, albeit messy, 4-5 day cycle. I am so angry that I let her talk me into this because it’s NOT DOING ANYTHING! Yes, my period is somewhat lighter, but it’s been 7+ days of continuous bleeding. Not spotting, but like 3rd-4th day flow for me. Cramps and nausea, plus diarrhea, and starting to feel the beginning of depressive/suicidal episodes creeping in. - I was happy before I started taking this pill. Also, annoying, stinky, hormonal sweating under my arms and groin that stings and kept going and going in the night…I am only 27! Makes me scared to try another BC pill, but the reviews do not lie. I really think the dosage is far too low for most women; it just extends your period."

For Ovarian Cysts "My GYN put me on LoSeasonique because they were out of regular Seasonique that I normally take. I've been on it for three and a half weeks. Yesterday, I started very little spotting, and today it was just a little heavy, enough that I have to wear a liner. Other than that, I have not experienced any other side effects so far. I will admit some of the reviews on here have me a little skeptical."

For Birth Control "I started taking LoSeasonique because I live such a busy lifestyle, and quite frankly, 12 a year just gets in the way! I was very apprehensive to start the pills because of what I've heard about it as far as ongoing spotting that seemingly never ends. However, I went into it with an open mind and expected some spotting. The first two weeks felt like a regular period, and after that, minor spotting, not even enough to wear a pad. I would say by the end of the third week, all spotting was gone. I am now towards the end of the 3-month supply and will be refilling this prescription as I could not be happier with it. I am so glad I made the choice to switch to LoSeasonique. Helps with acne too."

For Birth Control "I started using LoSeasonique to get less out of my periods. I had prior birth control to get lighter and more regular periods, but I just ended up deciding to switch because four periods a year sounds amazing. The month of the first pack went by great. No side effects, no spotting, nothing. The second month was still great. I'm going to be starting my third month, which has the period week. I take my pill every day pretty responsibly. So proud to say that, and I'm getting great results so far."

For Birth Control "I have been on it for 7 months now. During my first pack, I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding, but it went away by my 2nd month. The main thing I like is my moods are more stable and overall better. And no PMS! However, I must say my sex drive has decreased a ton. It does have its pros and cons."

"I love it! I have been on it for two years and have only had two periods, both of which pantyliners were more than enough! No mood swings, no bloating, no cramping, and no weight gain. It does not get any better than this, and I have tried it all (shots, rings, IUDs, and other pills)."

For Birth Control "I've only been on this birth control for about a week. So far, I haven't experienced any side effects. I read a lot of reviews that talked about heavy spotting, I'm hoping that this won't happen to me, or I'll have to change it. This is my first time on birth control."

For Birth Control "I am almost finished the second month in my first 3-month pack, and the first five weeks were great. I only had mild nausea the first 4 days I started taking LoSeasonique, and it stopped pretty quickly. After 5 weeks, I started spotting, and it has not stopped, and I am on week 9. It's just ridiculous. I want to know when it will stop. I am going on vacation in 2 weeks, and I do not want to have to carry around panty liners and tampons. I am not unsatisfied with the pill, just a little disappointed that I have no idea when the spotting will end."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I just started my second pack, and I have been on my period for the last 3 weeks. At first, it was just some spotting. Then it turned into a heavy period. I started experiencing moderate acne immediately, and my mood swings are through the roof."

"I've been on LoSeasonique for about 2 weeks now, and so far, I love it. Before I started taking it, I read through some of these reviews and was very hesitant to take this birth control. I asked my doctor about it, and she told me to try it, and if I experience any symptoms, I could stop taking it. The only side effect I have is spotting that started a few days ago, but it's not bad at all. I have not gained any weight, lost any hair, or anything else. In the packet of information that comes in the box with the pills, it says that if you take the pill at the same time every day, you are less likely to have symptoms. So far, so good."

For Birth Control "I have had the absolutely worst time with this birth control. At first, I was on the original Seasonique - I had to switch to the LoSeasonique because with the original, I had the worst cramping, moodiness, bleeding, ever. I thought the lower strength would be the perfect pill for me. Boy, was I ever wrong. I haven't had a regular period yet, and I have been taking this medication for over a year. I bleed an average of 21 days - I am period-free one week and then have a full brown cycle for five days. The 3-month period-free thing sounded so good - especially because I usually miss work or class because of horrible periods, but this was very counterproductive. I'm going to try the implant or go back to the regular pill."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Seasonique for a little over a month now. Within the first month, I experienced some pain in my uterus (which only lasted a couple of days, no big deal), flared-up acne, moodiness, increased appetite, decreased sex drive, and dryness. I was so frustrated with all of this, I'd already made up my mind that I was going back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen, but since I started the second month of pills, all these side effects seem to be decreasing. Now I'm not sure whether I want to keep taking Seasonique, or if I want to just switch back. If you're happy with your current birth control method, DO NOT switch just because you want fewer periods."

"At first, I had no problems with the pill. But then, on the second month of the first pack, I began spotting. At first, it was light, and then it got heavier like a normal period. This has been going on for over 2 weeks."

For Birth Control "I started taking LoSeasonique about 3 weeks ago. Since I've started taking it, I've experienced many negative side effects, such as cramping, gaining 10 lbs, intense mood swings where I will cry for no reason, get angry extremely easily, and a significant increase in acne. I will continue to take this medication for the next 3 months and see if things will change once the medication has been in my system for long enough. But like they say, this pill is different for everyone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was so angry that I was 50, haven't hit menopause and heavy cycles. Now 51, still no menopause and angry some women don't menopause till 54. I don't want to wait that long. I requested a pill that would give me 4 cycles per year or none, as I had been having heavy bleeding over the last 5-6 years. Tired of overflow accidents in public, can't change to new clothes, changing of pad + tampon on heavy days without spill out all over the public bathroom. Heavy days using 6-7 pads and tampons together and still a mess. While waiting for insurance to kick in to take care of the fibroid, was hoping I could skip a few periods. So began LoSeasonique on Oct 27, 2019, and I thought I was in the clear because my next cycle didn't come as scheduled. Then I was seeing spotting on November 23rd, and now it's Dec 13th, and I haven't stopped bleeding yet. So the doc sent me something else to try to make cycles more regular, but unfortunately, I will have one every month. Will be stopping LoSeasonique as of today. Wish me luck."

For Birth Control "I'm on my last week of my 2nd 3-month pack of LoSeasonique. I started the first 3-month pack, and in the middle of the 2nd month, I had really bad breakthrough bleeding for 2 and a half weeks. Then, during the last week of the 3-month pack, I had my pill period for 2 weeks instead of one. The same thing happened in the middle of the 2nd month of the 3-month pack, for about the same amount of time. And now, I'm halfway through the pill period week, and still no period."

"I've been on LoSeasonique for about a year and a half. I love it. I had no major weight gain (that I can tell), hair is still thick, and when I do have a period, it's very light and cramping is less severe. However, my body seems determined to have a monthly period, so occasionally I have to stop for a week and allow my body to have a period to stop the spotting. I highly recommend it, however, everyone's body reacts differently to birth control, so make sure you ask your doctor before making your decision. Hope this helps."

"I am taking this birth control solely for the purpose of helping to clear my skin. Although my acne is mild to moderate, I've found that taking birth control helps alleviate it. The only real side effects I'm experiencing with LoSeasonique are mood swings (only the first month of the pack), breast tenderness, which can be really painful sometimes, and an increase in cup size (something my boyfriend doesn't mind). The birth control has helped clear my skin, but hasn't been as good as some of the others I've taken. Time will tell, as it is for any medication, so I'm going to keep taking it and see what happens."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for a month and a half now. I have experienced an increase in my eating, I have been getting dizzy for a few minutes, and a rash of whitish pimples on my chest and on my forearm that I have never had before. I haven't experienced any bleeding or any period at all, which is good because my periods were pretty bad. I just hope these side effects go away."

For Birth Control "I'm on the last week of the 3rd pack of LoSeasonique. This is the first pack I've taken. Ever since starting the 3rd pack, I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding. I'm hoping that this is temporary and, as I start taking the 2nd 90-day pack, this will go away."

"I finished my first complete cycle (3 months). I am experiencing severe hair loss. It's coming out from the back of my scalp. I am also experiencing more frequent and severe migraines. Talked to my doctor, and he agrees that these symptoms are probably a result of LoSeasonique, so he prescribed LoEstrin24. Hope it does the trick."
