For Endometriosis "I realize that everyone is different. I have never written a review for a medicine before, but felt compelled to share my experience with LoSeasonique. I found it helpful to read reviews from women who had similar experiences. I only lasted six weeks on this pill. Because space is limited, I will just list the symptoms: horrible hair loss, severe acne (I'm 42 and had clear skin), depression and anger, and lastly, very heavy bleeding. I ended up weak and tired from all the blood loss. It was dark blood, with increasing clots. After six weeks, I had to stop. After four days, the heavy bleeding subsided. This pill may work for some, but if you had similar side effects, you are not alone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have finished a 3-month pack for the purpose of reducing heavy bleeding probably caused by fibroids. The breakthrough bleeding never stopped. The package insert says this symptom occurs in 10% of the patients. Pros: more energy because I have fewer heavy periods. Cons: still have abdominal pain once in 3 months during period, and have a small amount of bleeding every day. I haven't decided whether to continue for another 3 months or seek a different treatment."

For Endometriosis "I've been on 4 different birth control pills in the past 2 years, and LoSeasonique has given me the best experience. I have a pretty bad case of endometriosis. I've been on LoSeasonique for almost 5 months now, and my first period was a breeze. I had cramps for only one day (usually 3-5) during my period, which only lasted 4 days. My only concern is that when I first started LoSeasonique, I started getting awful migraines every day from the minute I woke up to the minute I went to bed. Luckily, after about 3 weeks, these went away. I get spotting every so often, but nothing that's unmanageable. I also noticed that my bloating has almost completely gone down."

For Birth Control "I had a good experience with my first pack of pills - no spotting. I lost weight, and my breasts grew a full cup size - friends keep asking if I had an enhancement done! I did have a lot of breast tenderness that continues and heavy cramping around my period. I'm now exactly halfway through my second 90-day pack and have had a light menstrual flow for the past 7 days. I take my pill at exactly the same time every day and never miss, so I'm disappointed this is happening. I hope it doesn't continue. Overall, I'm happy, and the pill works as I'm not pregnant, which is the most important thing!"

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I am at the end of my first pack of LoSeasonique. I am contemplating restarting another pack. I saw no improvement. I would bleed for 3 weeks straight. So much for my sex life. On the 5th week, I started a flow like a regular period, which lasted for 2 weeks. I am getting the exact opposite of what the pill is indicated for, which is supposed to give you a period at the end of the pack, making it 4 periods per year. Instead, I have more than tripled that, if I continue taking it. Everyone is different. It might work for some and not for others. I am still bleeding and cramping. I quit; I will go back to my old birth control."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking LoSeasonique because my doctor suggested I do so. Every month just before my period, I get a horrible headache that lasts about three days, and nothing I take will make it go away. It has really begun to interfere with my life. My doctor said that it was an estrogen withdrawal headache and there is nothing that could really be done. However, he said that if I only had a period once every three months, I would only have to tolerate the headache once every three months. I have now been on my first three-month pack for six weeks, and I have started bleeding, cramping, and yes, I have the headache. I have been tired, very emotional, and have had migraines since I started LoSeasonique."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been inadvertently taking this for over a year now. I stopped my period myself with Lutera, which is the same strength and medication as LoSeasonique, so I've switched to LoSeasonique to save money. When I first started taking it, I spotted for a long, long time, and if I take it even one hour later than my scheduled 4 pm time, I inevitably get cramps for two days. If I miss more than one day in a row, I will spot for a week or two and feel as crappy as I used to whenever I got a period. My periods did NOT get less painful on the pill, and that is why I stopped it altogether, and I couldn't be happier. If you can wait out the spotting, it is so worth it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been taking LoSeasonique for 6 1/2 weeks, thought I was going to really like it but started my period 7 days ago with cramps and all, and it is still going on. I have a call in to my doctor, just waiting for a phone call. I am seriously thinking about giving it up as it was only to alleviate PMS symptoms, as I am done having kids, and my periods before were only 3 days, so I would rather have 3 days with severe cramps than non-stop spotting or period, as I would call it. Oh, and I have also gained weight from it, not much, but it has only been 6 weeks."

For Birth Control "I have taken LoSeasonique for over 5 years. It has helped with migraines (no hormone fluctuations) and did not have weight gain until my insurance tried to get me to take the GENERIC version. Not the same, hence bioequivalent. Now, no pharmacies have the brand name on the shelf, nor can they order it. Oh no!"

For Birth Control "Starting off with my condition before LoSeasonique... I had heavy periods. By the time I turned 20, my cramps were so bad that I had to rest a day and apply a heat pack. My skin was always breaking out, and it was only worse in the summer. I went to my doctor, and he offered me three options: herb supplements, hormone pills, or BC pills. I chose the last one. I'm not sexually active, but college worries me, so I figured better be safe than sorry. After starting it, my skin was clearing up, my periods are still existing but are so light that I usually don't have to wear anything, and my cramps are very mild. The only thing I recently experienced was a 2-week period and some spotting, but as I said, it was very light. I'm glad I chose option three."

For Ovarian Cysts "I started using LoSeasonique a little over a week ago, mainly for irregular periods and the periodical ovarian cysts. I started my period on a Friday and started taking the pill on the following Sunday. I did not take the pill right away because I heard that if you begin taking the pill after the first day of a period, you will have lots of spotting. Anyway, my period stopped that Sunday, and I have not had any spotting since. It has been exactly one week, and I haven't experienced any cramps, bleeding, bloating, or anything uncomfortable. I take it at 3 pm every day and usually take it with a whole glass of water so I won't experience any headaches. I really like this pill so far and hope that I can continue."

For Birth Control "I am on my first pack, and I have to say I am so happy I changed from Loestrin 24 (I actually still had 7 days left). I have had light spotting for the first few days, and that's it. I think really sticking to the same time every day is the key to limiting side effects, like within the hour every day for real. Some breakouts on my chest and a little on my face, but that normally happens anytime. I changed pills. I think I have tried everything that is out there, and this is the best."

For Birth Control "I have been taking LoSeasonique for years. I have never had problems with it until lately. Due to my new job, I have been bad at taking the pill at the same time every day, which is causing a lot of spotting, which is my fault. But I have noticed a decrease in sex drive. Otherwise, I have never had a problem with this for 5 years."

For Birth Control "When my OBGYN switched my birth control pill to LoSeasonique in an attempt to relieve my severe cramps and menstrual migraines, I was hopeful. During my 3-month trial, I found that the severity of my migraines intensified, and spotting was equal to that of a light period. I understand that spotting may occur and should decrease over time; however, I was forced to wear a panty liner every day (sometimes 2/day!) for 3 months. I am no longer taking LoSeasonique."

For Birth Control "I'm not completely done with the first month, and I got a period. It's longer than my usual periods and heavier. I thought it was gone, and then it came back. I have noticed some change in my skin being dry and having some acne problems, which I've never had before. What's the point of being on birth control if you can't have sex because of all this period business."

For Ovarian Cysts "So far, so good on this medicine. I have tried just about every birth control pill out there. The only (and most annoying) side effects I have had so far are breaking out really bad. There are waves of breakouts (mostly on my chin) that I have never had before. I am hoping that will subside. Also, I have been more easily emotional about things. Like if something is sad, I am more likely to cry about it than I would before. Hope this helps people out there wanting to try this. Beware of any acne that may arise!"

For Birth Control "I have read so many comments on this birth control. I was on Seasonique (doctor recommended for endometriosis) before LoSeasonique, because when I went to my doctor's office and asked for samples (due to insurance changes), they were out of Seasonique and only had LoSeasonique. I asked the nurse if they were any different in dosage (wondering if I'd have more chances at getting pregnant), and she said they were about the same. LoSeasonique is my 5th pack already... and well, I can say that it's helped me a lot when it comes to preventing pregnancy. Every 3 months, I have had a super light period for over a year now. I have never really broken out, only with stress... I just hate that I gained weight, have normally low-grade fevers, and can't sleep at night."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm on my second pack of LoSeasonique, about five or six weeks away from my first 'real' period on this BC. For the past few days, I've been experiencing brownish discharge (from blood) and moderate cramping. Other than that, no complaints really. The pill didn't clear up my skin, but neither did my other one. I really hope this cramping stops now though, it's very painful. Enough that I can't go out much. I've heard that it gets better once your body has adjusted, but I don't know how long that will take."

For Birth Control "Love this birth control. I hate having a period every month. The first cycle of pills, I had a lot of spotting. The second pack, very little spotting. Will be a year in a month, and I'm very happy I have none of the side effects I have been reading about so far. Very little spotting. Yay, for 4 periods a year!!!"

For Birth Control "After about a week on this birth control, I started to get awful acne and had to stop taking it after two weeks. According to my doctor, a side effect for some people is a worsening complexion. It also made it very difficult to sleep and wake up in the morning. All of these side effects stopped a few days after I was taken off the pills."

For Birth Control "I am on my first three-month pack. I started taking them to have fewer periods. During week 5, I started spotting, if that's what you'll call it, and I am on week six and still spotting. If I had known I would be having an endless period, I would have never started taking them, considering my periods were short anyway. On the plus side, my skin does look a little better. If this doesn't get better by the time I am finished with this pack, I don't think I'm going to start another pack."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The breakthrough bleeding started a few days after I started taking it. Each day it gets worse. It is now day 30, I think this will be my last pack. I'd rather have a heavy period for 3 days and light bleeding for 5 more. At least I get at least a 10-day break before periods."

For Birth Control "I've been taking LoSeasonique for a little under a month. Not enough to do a thorough review, but so far, so good. I'm almost done with the first pack, so I will see if I get any breakthrough bleeding."

For Birth Control "I just finished my 2nd week of pills, but had to go off the medicine due to sudden severe panic attacks and hypertension. Just stopped taking them today and hoping the effects go away quickly!! Could have possibly been an allergic reaction. Also had bleeding for the entire 2 weeks so far."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was referred to get on birth control because of my abnormal menstrual cycle. At first, I was on Orthocyclen Lo, and after a year, decided that I didn't want to be on birth control anymore as I never remembered to take the pill. I then didn't have a period for about 5 months, and finally, it returned to my normal 7-day cycle. The next month, it was on for a whole month before I decided to go back to my doctor's office because it was driving me insane! They then suggested that I take LoSeasonique. I just finished my first pack, but I don't like this pill at all. I feel awful each and every day! I have really bad stomach pain, and I constantly feel like I have to vomit. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing these symptoms!"
