For Ovarian Cysts "I really like this birth control pill. It has made a huge difference in my skin over the past few months. I have been on several different types of birth control pills in the past 11 years, and these are definitely the best I have taken. I did experience some spotting/breakthrough bleeding during the first pack, but the benefits overshadowed that by far. I have had shorter periods, less pain, great skin, good moods, and increased sex drive."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am on my second, three-month pack of LoSeasonique, and I am seriously contemplating stopping the birth control. My first three-month pack, around week six, I started bleeding. This lasted about a week, and I thought my body was adjusting. Since then, my face has broken out - I have never had acne problems. I am now on week four of my second cycle of pills, and I am now bleeding lightly again. I am experiencing the worst cramps I have ever had in my life. All I do is sleep, and I am still exhausted all the time. I can't even get myself to do normal activities like grocery shopping."

For Endometriosis "I started this pill in September 2010 to help treat ovarian cysts and endometriosis. The first week I had nausea and tender breasts, but it went away after that. I had a lot of spotting and bleeding on and off for 2 or 3 weeks at a time for 4 months. It was annoying but better than the awful agony I used to go through every month, so I decided to keep taking it, as my doctor told me that spotting and bleeding is very common with this low of a dose of pill and that some people needed 3 months to a year for your body to adjust. Well, finally after 6 months it was worth the wait because no more spotting and bleeding, and best I have better energy, vitality, and quality of life having control over my horrible periods. It has changed my life!"

For Endometriosis "It is the best medicine ever invented! No issues, no pain, spotting, bleeding, no period, nothing. Tried every birth control, including Lupron Depot for endometriosis, nothing worked but this. I would pay full price and would not care. I pay $150, insurance pays the rest, but I have been pain-free for over 3 years, and I was diagnosed in 2000, and it is now 2013, you do the math, it took 10 years to be ok."

For Birth Control "Lo-Seasonique is a good birth control, and awesome to not have a period for 3 months. I had stopped taking birth control for a year because of migraines, they improved and then worsened again. MD put me on Lo-Seasonique. Initially, I had breakthrough bleeding, had never had problems before. I read up on it, and to all of you that have problems, change the time you are taking the pill and take it with/after food and/or something acidic (orange juice). The reason for a lot of breakthrough is high estrogen not being absorbed. Otherwise, I have had minor cramping periodically if I miss ONE pill. I do notice a drop in sex drive and just a heavy feeling. But minor changes. Otherwise, now almost a year on it, it's awesome."

For Birth Control "So far, so good with this pill - I am 3 weeks in and haven't had any breakthrough bleeding or mood changes. I am on it for the prevention of menstrual migraines, and so far, I've gotten 1, but I imagine it'll take time, even so, 1 is an improvement. I've also noticed that my sex drive is much higher... like, MUCH higher!"

For Birth Control "I have been on LoSeasonique for 2 months now. I'm experiencing hair loss, increased appetite, and severe migraines! My face is breaking out and extremely dry, and I've been having bleeding on and off for up to 7 days consecutively. This birth control is absolutely not worth taking, in my opinion!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm going on my 3rd week of LoSeasonique and have been bleeding ever since I started. Just when I think it's going to stop, it starts heavier again. I do get a little dizzy, but I'm hoping it's just my body getting used to the hormones and I'll stabilize soon. No skin problems, and I feel I'm less emotional than with another pill I had tried."

For Birth Control "I'm taking LoSeasonique birth control pills... still on the first pack. I'm halfway through the first pack that is for 3 months. Everything is normal for me, but I've been bleeding lightly, or should I say spotting, for just about a month now. I have a week and a month before I finish with this pack. Just ready for the spotting to stop, but other than that, I have no other problems or symptoms."

For Birth Control "I started taking LoSeasonique just about a year ago. Before this, I took Yaz for about 6 years. My doc recommended LoSeasonique, so I agreed to try it. The first pack was not too bad. No spotting, but I was very nauseated. On the second pack, I began spotting, and this continued for weeks at a time. Soon after, I began to notice my skin was breaking out. (I have never had acne before.) During the third pack, the breakthrough bleeding continued, as did the acne (now spread to my back and chest), also, I started having headaches on a daily basis, to the point where I could no longer function. I am now at the end of my fourth pack and have been spotting for the entire last month! Getting off soon."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I am on my third and last package of LoSeasonique; it has been rough. During the first pack, I started spotting daily in week 5. This progressed to a full-fledged cycle by week 9 and lasted for three weeks, so my doctor instructed me to skip to the yellow pills and then begin a new pack. During the second pack, around week 5, the spotting started again. During week 8, I passed out. In week 10, I began having extremely heavy bleeding that proved impossible to contain, resulting in two terrible accidents. Thank God I was home both times. After getting the next prescription and reading the pamphlet again, I discovered all of these experiences are considered severe side effects of the pills."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for a little over a year now, and I cannot wait to switch my birth control in 2 weeks. Although I have not experienced any weight gain, acne, or emotional changes, this pill has made me spot like crazy. I would be fine for the first month of the pills, but literally, as soon as I start the second pack of the pills until I get my period, I spot. It is infuriating! I told my doctor about this problem, and she told me that you have to take this pill at the exact same time every day. No being 10, 20, 30 minutes late because otherwise, you spot. I honestly thought I did a darn good job of taking my pill on time, and yet I still experience bleeding."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have finished a 3-month pack for the purpose of reducing heavy bleeding probably caused by fibroids. The breakthrough bleeding never stopped. The package insert says this symptom occurs in 10% of the patients. Pros: more energy because I have fewer heavy periods. Cons: still have abdominal pain once in 3 months during period, and have a small amount of bleeding every day. I haven't decided whether to continue for another 3 months or seek a different treatment."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I am at the end of my first pack of LoSeasonique. I am contemplating restarting another pack. I saw no improvement. I would bleed for 3 weeks straight. So much for my sex life. On the 5th week, I started a flow like a regular period, which lasted for 2 weeks. I am getting the exact opposite of what the pill is indicated for, which is supposed to give you a period at the end of the pack, making it 4 periods per year. Instead, I have more than tripled that, if I continue taking it. Everyone is different. It might work for some and not for others. I am still bleeding and cramping. I quit; I will go back to my old birth control."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started taking LoSeasonique because my doctor suggested I do so. Every month just before my period, I get a horrible headache that lasts about three days, and nothing I take will make it go away. It has really begun to interfere with my life. My doctor said that it was an estrogen withdrawal headache and there is nothing that could really be done. However, he said that if I only had a period once every three months, I would only have to tolerate the headache once every three months. I have now been on my first three-month pack for six weeks, and I have started bleeding, cramping, and yes, I have the headache. I have been tired, very emotional, and have had migraines since I started LoSeasonique."

For Ovarian Cysts "I started using LoSeasonique a little over a week ago, mainly for irregular periods and the periodical ovarian cysts. I started my period on a Friday and started taking the pill on the following Sunday. I did not take the pill right away because I heard that if you begin taking the pill after the first day of a period, you will have lots of spotting. Anyway, my period stopped that Sunday, and I have not had any spotting since. It has been exactly one week, and I haven't experienced any cramps, bleeding, bloating, or anything uncomfortable. I take it at 3 pm every day and usually take it with a whole glass of water so I won't experience any headaches. I really like this pill so far and hope that I can continue."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "The breakthrough bleeding started a few days after I started taking it. Each day it gets worse. It is now day 30, I think this will be my last pack. I'd rather have a heavy period for 3 days and light bleeding for 5 more. At least I get at least a 10-day break before periods."

For Birth Control "I just finished my 2nd week of pills, but had to go off the medicine due to sudden severe panic attacks and hypertension. Just stopped taking them today and hoping the effects go away quickly!! Could have possibly been an allergic reaction. Also had bleeding for the entire 2 weeks so far."

For Birth Control "I also started an endless period beginning month #2 of the pill. It started as spotting, then turned into a full-on period. I'm going on week 3 of bleeding and maintaining worse cramps than I had before I was on the pill. I'm calling my doctor today to see if I should stop taking the pill, I just don't understand why it is extending my period."

For Birth Control "Hate this pill. I wanted an IUD, but the doctor I saw didn’t want to do it because I am not sexually active. All I wanted were lighter, more manageable periods. The breakthrough bleeding is horrible and makes me miss my normal, albeit messy, 4-5 day cycle. I am so angry that I let her talk me into this because it’s NOT DOING ANYTHING! Yes, my period is somewhat lighter, but it’s been 7+ days of continuous bleeding. Not spotting, but like 3rd-4th day flow for me. Cramps and nausea, plus diarrhea, and starting to feel the beginning of depressive/suicidal episodes creeping in. - I was happy before I started taking this pill. Also, annoying, stinky, hormonal sweating under my arms and groin that stings and kept going and going in the night…I am only 27! Makes me scared to try another BC pill, but the reviews do not lie. I really think the dosage is far too low for most women; it just extends your period."

For Birth Control "I have been on it for 7 months now. During my first pack, I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding, but it went away by my 2nd month. The main thing I like is my moods are more stable and overall better. And no PMS! However, I must say my sex drive has decreased a ton. It does have its pros and cons."

For Birth Control "I have had the absolutely worst time with this birth control. At first, I was on the original Seasonique - I had to switch to the LoSeasonique because with the original, I had the worst cramping, moodiness, bleeding, ever. I thought the lower strength would be the perfect pill for me. Boy, was I ever wrong. I haven't had a regular period yet, and I have been taking this medication for over a year. I bleed an average of 21 days - I am period-free one week and then have a full brown cycle for five days. The 3-month period-free thing sounded so good - especially because I usually miss work or class because of horrible periods, but this was very counterproductive. I'm going to try the implant or go back to the regular pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was so angry that I was 50, haven't hit menopause and heavy cycles. Now 51, still no menopause and angry some women don't menopause till 54. I don't want to wait that long. I requested a pill that would give me 4 cycles per year or none, as I had been having heavy bleeding over the last 5-6 years. Tired of overflow accidents in public, can't change to new clothes, changing of pad + tampon on heavy days without spill out all over the public bathroom. Heavy days using 6-7 pads and tampons together and still a mess. While waiting for insurance to kick in to take care of the fibroid, was hoping I could skip a few periods. So began LoSeasonique on Oct 27, 2019, and I thought I was in the clear because my next cycle didn't come as scheduled. Then I was seeing spotting on November 23rd, and now it's Dec 13th, and I haven't stopped bleeding yet. So the doc sent me something else to try to make cycles more regular, but unfortunately, I will have one every month. Will be stopping LoSeasonique as of today. Wish me luck."

For Birth Control "I'm on my last week of my 2nd 3-month pack of LoSeasonique. I started the first 3-month pack, and in the middle of the 2nd month, I had really bad breakthrough bleeding for 2 and a half weeks. Then, during the last week of the 3-month pack, I had my pill period for 2 weeks instead of one. The same thing happened in the middle of the 2nd month of the 3-month pack, for about the same amount of time. And now, I'm halfway through the pill period week, and still no period."
