For Birth Control "I have been on LoSeasonique for 6 weeks now. The first 2 weeks, I had no breakthrough bleeding. Around week 3, I started spotting for a couple of days, then it would stop for a couple of days. I am now on week 6, and the breakthrough hasn't stopped. It's putting a damper on my thoughts of the pill. I will continue taking this pill through the first pack (3 months) and decide then if I want to continue taking it. The main purpose for taking this pill was to decrease my periods, and I have been bleeding more than before. I usually have very mild cramping and have noticed the cramping has worsened these past 3 weeks."

"Pain. Cramps. Heavy bleeding. I had been on this for 2 and 1/2 weeks, and the bleeding and pain started. Will get a sonogram this week to check everything because the doctor said this should not be happening, but after reading the reviews, this seems to be normal. With no medical insurance, I am mad. This is costly, painful, unnecessary."

"I really like this birth control, which is a surprise after reading all the negative reviews. I just finished the first 3-month pack. I had absolutely no breakthrough bleeding, no crazy weight gain, and no other terrible side effects. It made me a little sick to my stomach the first week, and that is all I have noticed. I would highly recommend this medicine to anyone who doesn't need a large dose of estrogen to keep breakthrough bleeding from happening."

For Endometriosis "I was prescribed LoSeasonique to help manage endometriosis. I’ve been on it for three months. I felt horrible the first week. I decided to give it time. My cramps and periods are worse. I got headaches, depression, increased appetite, excruciating cramps, bleeding a lot more than before; constantly changing pads. I would get no relief from analgesics or the heat pack. I am 43 years old and do not have kids. I asked my gynecologist for a hysterectomy, but she said that would push me into menopause. The whole point is for me to live as pain-free as possible. I don’t care if I have a period every month; I am just tired of the pain and having to miss work. I would rate this a -0. I personally don’t recommend it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was taking Seasonique, and my doctor switched me over to LoSeasonique because I was still having periods that lasted 7-8 days. I have been on LoSeasonique for 7 weeks now and have been bleeding off and on since I started. My face has broken out on several occasions. This is really getting old, and I am going to stop this birth control and switch back to just Seasonique."

For Birth Control "I'm just finishing my second month of pills. I had a crazy increase in appetite the first month, but it's evened out now. But now I've been experiencing breakthrough bleeding for about nine days. I really hope it stops."

For Birth Control "I started taking this 8 weeks ago, and after 4 weeks I got a period. I just assumed it was my body adjusting. It went away for about a week, but now I have been bleeding heavily for the past 3 weeks. This cannot be normal. My skin has gotten way worse, and I have become very moody."

For Birth Control "I have taken LoSeasonique for 9 months now (3 packs). At first, it was great and I was all excited about 1 period every 3 months. I was wrong. This was my first birth control ever! At first, I had mood swings, I'd be fine, then the next thing I'm angry, then I'm crying over something stupid. I can handle the mood swings, but the spotting was horrible. I would get my bleeding into the 5th week mark, and then it would go away for a few days, then come back and wouldn't stop until maybe 3 days of the sugar pills. My skin had cleared up, but now when I get pimples, they scar. Oh, and the sex life was gone because of the bleeding. I stopped taking it just today, and I can already feel my hormones getting crazy."

For Birth Control "LoSeasonique works fine as birth control. I didn't get pregnant while on it, but it didn't keep my period at bay for the 3 months as stated. For me, this pill actually worked the opposite way. I had a period for 3 weeks, then nothing for 1 week rather than the other way around. And it wasn't just light spotting, I had bleeding similar to a period. I gave it a chance the first month and the second month, but after that, I called it quits. I will have to try something else."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control for almost 6 weeks now, and let me tell you, the only good thing about it is that it has helped me gain and distribute weight where I need it and made my breasts bigger. Other than that, I feel like absolute rubbish all day, every day, and my job requires me to be active and on my feet. IT'S HORRIBLE. I take medicine for the nausea, so that's fine. But I'm extremely tired, my body aches more than normal, the change in my mood is not okay, and I've been bleeding for over a week now, way earlier than my period should be. It started out as just spotting, but now I'm heavily bleeding, and it's making me very anxious. I'm going to take the last week of pills tomorrow because this just isn't worth it. I do not recommend this pill. Definitely look for something with better ratings, maybe?"

For Birth Control "My OBGYN switched me to this pill in hopes to reduce my menstrual migraines I suffer with every month. While I have not had any migraines, I have been bleeding for 3 weeks straight, have a horrible outbreak of acne, and very bad nausea since starting this medication two months ago. At this point, I think I'd rather live with the monthly migraine than be bleeding all the time and look like I have chickenpox on my face."

"Just completed 6 months on this. I had very heavy, horrible periods with no pills at all. The first 3-4 weeks on this, I had some bleeding, but it has completely stopped since. Even when I was supposed to get my period, I did not get much of anything. Contact lenses are killing me, vision is not the same. Very, very tired all the time. No energy. No sex drive. I get weird pains in my legs all the time."

For Birth Control "This birth control is definitely not for everyone. I bled for 2 straight weeks while taking this pill and became anemic. I was so exhausted and had ongoing cramps for days and days. I had switched over from Microgestin because this one was cheaper and was a three-month pack, but I am switching back. I didn't pay attention to the reviews (because everyone has different results), but I wish I had. I am switching back to my previous birth control."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "Not good! I've tried regular Seasonique as well as LoSeasonique, and although yes, it did get rid of my cysts after only one month, the LoSeasonique caused me to have breakthrough bleeding for almost the whole time that I took it (9 months). Some days, it was as much blood as having a period, and I even had cramps and nausea that I usually have when I have a period. With regular Seasonique, the spotting only happened for the first pack (3 months), but still made me nauseous. But all in all, LoSeasonique's side effects of being in a period-like state for 9 months straight do NOT outweigh the benefit of helping with PCOS."

For Birth Control "After the birth of my son in June 2011, I started LoSeasonique. Before the birth of my son, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen and loved it with no problems. I only stayed on LoSeasonique for one month due to a flow like a heavy period on an almost everyday basis. It stopped for two weeks in the second month and started again very heavily with severe abdominal pain and cramping. The only reason I wanted to try LoSeasonique was for the 'fewer periods' purposes. After trying LoSeasonique for three months (one pack), I have discontinued the use and will be going back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen!"

For Endometriosis "I was put on LoSeasonique in October of 2010 for endometriosis. I am only 20 years old, so the doctors have been trying hard to find something that will work for me and not cause lifelong effects. This pill did the trick. I have had nothing but happiness with it, it helps the pain of the endometriosis. My doctor gave me 6 months to try it (2 sample packs at once) to see if it worked. I was stupid and took it back to back, so I didn't have a period for 6 months. I did spot and bleed for that reason. The bleeding was heavy and painful, so as soon as I finished the pack, I allowed myself to have an actual period before starting a new pack. Since that mistake, I only had weight gain, and it was only 10 pounds. I love it."

For Birth Control "I'm on the last week of the 3rd pack of LoSeasonique. This is the first pack I've taken. Ever since starting the 3rd pack, I have been experiencing breakthrough bleeding. I'm hoping that this is temporary and, as I start taking the 2nd 90-day pack, this will go away."
