For Birth Control "It is awful. Ever since I've started taking Larissia, I have been anxious and have had insomnia. While it does reduce my heavy periods, it seems to me like I'm just constantly on my period every single day. It makes me nauseous, and there have been a few times I've thrown up because of it."

For Birth Control "I came on this website to see if anyone else was experiencing the same things. They are. I have been on Larissia for two years now. This was the first birth control I ever took. When I first started taking it, I remember it gave me severe cramps! But all was good after I took it for a few months because I no longer had periods. Then I started developing side effects of severe headaches, horrendous acne on my face and back, nausea all the time, light sensitivity to the point of many passing out spells, poor circulation in my hands and feet to the point of no feeling, vision loss, loss of appetite, severe sensitivity in my breasts, weight loss and gain, horrendous mood swings, horrible anxiety, always feeling confused, and many more. Don’t take this birth control! It’s not worth it. I’m in the stage right now of not taking it, trying to get back to normal."

For Birth Control "I am 31 years old. When I first started taking Larissia, I was 30. I used to be on the Mirena, but I was constantly getting yeast infections, BV, UTIs, and then ultimately had a painful ovarian cyst. So I had enough and got off of it. When I first started taking Larissia, yes, I felt more pregnant than ever (hungry, nauseous, and sore breasts), but all that stopped after 4 months. I did gain about 22 pounds within a year, but I think it has to do more with me being 31 years old, and of course, things slow down a bit at that age. So far, it has been great. Don't double the pills, or you will get nauseous! I also don't take the pill on an empty stomach. It doesn't affect my libido. No mood swings or depression. So far, I am satisfied with the pill."

For Birth Control "I took Larissia as my very first birth control in Jan. I had really bad dizziness/motion sickness to where everything would be “swimming” around me for the first two months. It would happen randomly whether sitting or moving around. I mentioned it to my gyno, but she said she’s never heard of the dizziness as a symptom before and to continue to take it so my body gets used to it. The dizziness did eventually go down, but it was still prevalent in some motions (bending up and down frequently, or moving head side to side too much). I think I had a hard time losing weight on it as well, as I eventually gained back some weight I lost before taking it, and couldn’t lose anything even on an appetite suppressant and exercise. Sex drive was definitely down, and my anxiety would get bad at times. Otherwise, I felt confident in its ability to prevent pregnancy, never had a scare. Periods were light and only 3-4 days."

For Birth Control "A little over three months ago, my doctor told me that my regular brand of birth control was being changed to Larissia. She said it was the same thing and nothing should happen. This has happened before, so I didn’t think anything. I started Larissia, and I started waking up and going to bed nauseous. My breasts hurt all the time, I was constipated, and it made my anxiety go way up. All these symptoms made me believe I was pregnant. I have gone to the doctors multiple times for tests and even had to have them do an ultrasound to verify. I have always had anxiety, but while taking this pill, it made me a whole different person. The constipation from this pill has also racked up a 5k hospital bill because the pain got so bad. I looked up the ingredients, found the reviews, and discovered it was the pill doing this. I changed to an IUD yesterday, and I’m being put on anxiety meds to help. It might just be me, but if you already have anxiety, I would definitely look it up before using."

For Birth Control "Experience nausea and tons of headaches while on this birth control. Was told to take birth control later in the day so I could essentially sleep through nausea. Decided to just switch birth control."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control. I am on my 4th day, and I feel miserable. I feel so nauseous, and I have been sick the day 3 days after taking this prescription."
